A welcoming sweet scent immediately lingered its way up your nose as you entered the cabin. Canada closed the door behind you and bent down to untie his shoelaces.

"You can leave your shoes next to mine" Canada said snapping you out of your daydreams.
"You sure it's really fine if I stay here?" You asked fidgeting your fingers
"Of course, who am I if I just leave a country out to be on their own?" He chuckled.
You smiled
Then it hit you

The smile immediately left your lips as it was replaced by a rather confused look.ย

Country? What does he mean Country,I'm not a country!

Canada stood up again and walked past you into presumably the living room. You untied your shoes and put them next to Canadas like he instructed you to do while still pondering over his words. Your eyebrows furrowed as you opened your lips to speak but no sound came out. Turning around you were faced with the interior of the cabin and you were astonished by how pretty it was.

In the back was a big TV with a couch in front of it. Right next to it was a Fireplace standing just at the right angle so the warmth would still reach the couch. Next to the fireplace was a table with a couple of chairs.

You turned your head to the left and there was a coat hanger with a few jackets and hats, all probably belonging to Canada.

To your right was kitchen and you quickly detected where the sweet smell came from. Sitting on a plate on the kitchen counter were a bunch of cookies and other sweets. The kitchen was mostly brown with a few darker themed kitchen tools sitting on the counters.

After a quick inspection with your eyes you also found a staircase to the left leading up to whatever secrets this cabin had.

"We can sit on the couch come on" Canada said already making his way forward. You followed and sat down next to him on the white cushioned couch.

"I've never seen you around before, how come?" Canada asked with his smile still spread across his red cheeks.
You seriously didn't know how to answer, you were really confused by this whole situation going on. You only remembered the alley way and how Canada found you. It honestly made you really sad thinking about it.

Canada noticed the confusion and sadness in your eyes and began to worry.

"Canada I really don't know how I got here," you answered truthfully.
You hesitated.

I can't just tell him " oh yeah I was murdered and woke up here" He would probably think I'm crazy!

"I've never seen someone like you before, I mean like the paint in your face and all..."
This added to Canadas growing confusion as he didn't know what to make of this.
"Paint? This is just my flag (Y/N), are you ok? Do you need a doctor?"

Uneasiness kept growing in you as your hands became sweaty.
The look in your eyes made Canada think for a moment before you averted your gaze.

"(Y/N) you can tell me really, I won't judge you" He said with reassuring words.
Now you were really nervous, your body was tingling and a cold shiver washed over you.

Should I really tell him?

You let out a shaky breath.

"Ok..,"
Canada was relieved and a his lips immediately formed a warm smile.
"This is really crazy and now that I think about it it might have been a dream..."
Canadas words repeated in your head so you continued.
"I-I think I was stabbed..? In an alley way. I don't think I'm from here Canada..."
You said saying the last part quieter than the rest, sadness lingering in your voice.

Canada was understandably taken aback by your words, understanding that that in front of him was probably not a country like he thought at first , but he kept his words.
He knitted his eyebrows for a few seconds while contemplating for the right thing to say in this situation.
"You think that maybe you are not from this world?" He asked hoping for an answer that he could continue his thoughts with.

"No.." You answered. Your quivering voice being really quiet, a lock of hair falling in front of your eyes.
"Ok...that does sound really strange but that would explain why you don't have a flag.."
Canadas worried eyes landed on your sad ones as you looked up again.
Canada began to worry even more as reality sunk in.

How would the others react to something like this? This is bad. Really really bad...

"I don't know what to do but showing you to the others is probably a bad idea" he muttered, his gaze focused on the ground. Uneasiness grew between you two.

You waited for a solution coming from Canada and after a while he said

"I have a guest bedroom upstairs... if you want to you can stay there for the time being. I think if the others find out about you you're gonna be in big trouble and I don't think you would want that..."

He just allowed me to stay at his cabin, a stranger, he offered a complete stranger a place because he was worried...

You accepted his offer showing genuine gratefulness and thanking him over and over again.

If these people he was referring to were really gonna be that bad if they found out about me then staying here is the best
option.

After some talking and explaining from Canada you found out that he was literally the country itself and that every other country has a body like him. Their faces have the flag of their country on them.

They are basically humans with a face that has their flag on it.

This was something completely new to you and you listened to everything Canada had to say.
But after a while you were growing hungry, and that didn't go unnoticed when your stomach growled much to your discomfort.

"It's already getting dark outside, " Canada pointed out looking behind you and out of the window.
"What would you like to have as dinner? I'm gonna make some food now"
"You don't have to really.." you said not wanting to be rude.
"No it's fine really. I'm a pretty good cook and you're my guest. I insist."
A small smile formed on your lips as you already daydreamed about finally eating again.
"Anything will do, I'm not a picky eater" you said.

Canada, pleased with your answer, got up and went over to the kitchen where he opened the fridge. He grabbed a few ingredients and put them on the counter before cutting up some food.
You felt kind of useless doing nothing.

"Can I help with something?" you asked your head barely reaching over the edge of the couch.
Canada looked over and saw your determination to help in your eyes so he agreed. You walked over to the kitchen and he explained a few things on how to make this dish you were now both preparing.

After some time you both finally finished cooking and Canada set two plates on the table next to the fireplace. You dusted your clothes since some flour got onto them and then grabbed the pot with the food and set it on the table.

Poutine.

A dish which is commonly eaten in Canada.

You both enjoyed the food and continued chatting about your favourite TV series, movies, songs, etc.

You and Canada actually had a lot in Common. You both liked the outdoors and were quite extroverted.
He also told you about his siblings but the topic quickly changed.

After dinner you helped clean the dishes and since it was dark outside you were growing tired.

"Come on let's go upstairs I'm gonna show you your room" Canada suggested as your tiredness was written all over your face.
"Yeah sure I'm getting really tired"

You followed him up the stairs and he guided you to the second door down the hall.
"This is the guest bedroom but you can use it. Now that I think of it, you don't have any clothes with you, do you?" You shook your head
"Alright you see the closet over there?" He pointed to a spot in the back of the room with a closet.
"There are some clothes in there, I think they could fit you. There's a bathroom in here too"
He opened a door leading into another room showing a bathroom with a shower, a toilet, sink and some towels neatly folded underneath the sink.

"Thank you Canada" you chuckled with a smile. You seriously hadn't expected your day to go this well.
"If you need anything I will be in the room next to yours. Good night (Y/N)"
"Good night Canada" You responded, your eyelids feeling heavy under their own weight.

He closed the door behind him and you were left alone in the room with the presumably Queen sized bed sitting in the left to you.

Immediately you went looking for some clothes and rummaged through the closet Canada had shown you and fished out a black T-shirt. You quickly discarded of your dirty clothes and put on the T-shirt. It was a bit oversized but just the right thing to sleep in.

You flicked the light switch off and hopped into the covers. Cuddling into them you were reminded just how unlucky and lucky you were.

You met such a gruesome fate but now you had met this awesome person who didn't hesitate to help someone in need.

The adrenaline was slowly wearing off and it was showing in the sudden change of your mood. You hadn't realised just how sad the situation actually was. You were ripped out of theย  comfort your family gave you and placed in such a situation.

All of a sudden everything felt out of place.

You left them behind.
You left all of them behind.

You didn't want your family to grieve so you just hoped they didn't find the body...
Or maybe, just maybe they could get over you quickly.

You wondered...

Will I ever see them again...?

Hopefully this is all just some kind of dream...

You curled yourself into a ball and squeezed the blanket tight. Tears were rolling down your cheeks, getting absorbed by the blanket and the pillows beneath as you quietly wept into them.

And with only you and your thoughts you fell asleep that night.

[Note!

I didn't read over this and I'm really tired so the last part is a bit cheesy but who cares. I will try to write regularly.
If you have any ideas I can absorb into this story I'd be more than glad to hear them.
