The scowl on Canadas face grew as he loaded another piece of luggage into his car. You rubbed your sweaty hands together, cringing at how they felt. After you and Canada had gotten back home the day prior he was really dense and seemed to constantly be lost in thought. And now, the day after, not many words were spoken. But to be honest, you didn't even know what to say. But then after a long silence Canada harshly outed his opinion.
"Couldn't they have waited a few more days..? Why do you need to go right now?!" He tightened his fingers until they formed a fist, wanting to relieve his stress somehow but not wanting to damage anything. His gaze was locked on to the suitcase that lay before him and his fist loosened as he took a deep breath to calm down.

You were surprised, but understanding. You didn't want to leave either. But that Canada was so upset about it only showed how much it affected him.
"I don't want to leave," You sighed, continuing now a little louder "but maybe it's for the best..?" Canada immediately turned around a look of shock on his face.
"For the best?(Y/N) if you go back I- we-" he couldn't even continue his sentence and just groaned in frustration, turning his gaze away from you. Whatever he was gonna say, you knew he would have been right.

The last piece of you luggage had been loaded into his truck. This meant that you would be off to Germanys house in no time.

You sighed at the realization, ready to open the car door and sit down.
"Hold on" Canada echoed as he quickly jumped up and ran back to the cabin disappearing inside for a few moments, before appearing again holding something in his hand, but quickly shoving it in his pocket before standing next to the car once again. "Alright, we can go now"
You were weirded out a little, shrugged it off tho and entered the vehicle.

He started the car and you watched through the side mirror how the cabin disappeared behind you. Soon after the fields, with the forest that appeared as a tiny speck of green, zoomed past you again and soon you were on the highway, with Canada making sure he didn't cross the speed limit.

"Do you think you can visit me?"
"I hope so!" The country remarked as you fidgeted with your fingers.

Japan seemed nice enough when you met her, but Germany? He immediately left the meeting and didn't seem too pleased with the new 'work' he had been given. And now you were staying with him too! You sighed, resting one hand on your chest in an attempt at slowing your abnormally fast heart from racing.

Canada looked over to you, sensing your worry.
"I saw you talking to Japan yesterday..." your gaze met his soft one as he smiled sweetly at you, occasionally looking at the road.
"She's really nice, isn't she?"

You thought for a while before delivering your answer.
"Well, she seemed very happy to meet me...I suppose she is." ...
"Do you know anything about Germany?" You blurted it out without a second thought, genuinely curious if he did. Canada, not surprised by this question at all seemed like he prepared an answer.
"Not much... he often speaks up during meetings and brings in his own ideas. He's really smart you know, that's why you'll go to his house. I've only spoken to him a couple of times so I'm not sure how he's like... but I bet it won't be as bad as you think!"

Relieved from that statement your body slumped deeper into the car seat.

.
.

Most of the two and a half hour car ride was over and you were now nearing civilisations, big buildings peeked up above the horizon, some smaller, some bigger. You talked with Canada and even though you were growing quite nervous by the minute he made you laugh quite often.
"And remember that one time we tried to walk home late at night and you got so scared you wanted me to check behind every tree!?" Canada laughed as you punched his arm, a red hue covering your embarrassed face.
"Oh shut up! You got scared too and threw a knife at a tree stump because you thought it was a person crouching!"
"HEY!" He playfully retorted still laughing.
"Wait! But do you remember how I caught my first pike!?" He threw his head back as a loud laugh left his lips.
"You were so excited! Honestly, it was the first time I saw someone get so happy over catching a fish! You looked fabulous tho...and cute.." he quietly confessed the last part so you couldn't hear.

The houses were even closer now and Canada drove right into the busy city.
"Is Germany's house in this city?"
"Hmm? No, we're only driving through" And he wasn't wrong. Shortly after you left the city behind he drove i onto a desolate road which lead to a small town with only a few houses.
"Wow..do all countries live so isolated?" You asked, repositioning yourself in your seat.
"Most of us do. I guess we just need more isolated spaces so we can focus on work and mind." You nodded understandingly. Being a country apparently had its perks.

The sun looked like it danced in the horizon, illuminating every building they drove by, when suddenly...

"Whoa..." You commented breathlessly. The top of a building shone under the sun, getting bigger as you got closer and as Canada stopped his car in front of it you knew you had arrived. It basically loomed over you and him, leaving you in the shadows. This was no ordinary house, no... with its light wooden panels and big glass windows it truly looked majestic, like a Mansion!
The entrance was beautifully decorated with roses which aligned a path you could follow, leading to a big opening in the Center where a fountain stood, flowing water. The sprinkling added to the sound of birds chirping. Behind that laid the mansion in all its pride.
"This..this is where Germany lives?" You couldn't believe your eyes!
"The things you can do with money" Canada muttered, feeling a little irritated that he had to give you into the care of Germany and Japan.

It looked like you were frozen on the spot while you admired the estate, which in your eyes looked like it sparkled.Canada had to hit your shoulder to get you out of the trance you seemed to be trapped in. You squeaked at the unexpected force but quickly regained your posture rubbing your shoulder and cursing him to which he chuckled.

Canada looked at the ground, trying to think of something to talk about so he wouldn't have to send you inside the mansion yet, but he couldn't think of anything as his mind didn't seem to want to cooperate with him. He sighed in defeat and you too knew that it was time. He went to the back of the truck and unlocked it with his car keys. Shortly after pulling one suitcase and a large bag containing your belongings you had kind of stamped off as yours(though they were actually from the guest bedrooms closet). But before you could continue you recognised a voice calling your name from afar. Warm light illuminated her figure, but you caught a glimpse of white hair and immediately knew it was the kind girl from the day prior.
"(Y/N)!(Y/N)!!" She said, breathing heavy when she finally reached you. One side of her black jacket slid down the side of her shoulder as she rested her hands on her knees to catch her breath.
"Hi Japan!" You cheerfully said, surprised at the distance she covered in such a short period of time.
"Am I late?!" She asked but you could reassure her that she was in fact not late and came right on time.
"We were just about to bring my stuff inside"
"Oh what a relief!" She seemed very keen on being there on time, which you found slightly amusing.

She readjusted her jacket and offered to bring you inside the mansion, since apparently Germany was in the basement setting up his new equipment.
You gladly accepted and trotted after her while Canada carried your suitcase and bag with no effort.

The door you now stood in front of seemed tiny compared to the rest of the residence, nonetheless Japan opened it and welcomed you both inside.
"Germany gave me a key because I visit him so often!" She chuckled and motioned for us to stay put until she closed the door again.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the interior looked absolutely fabulous! Right in front of you was a huge marble staircase, covered in a red carpet with a pattern, which lead two separate ways once at the top. At the bottom, left and right to the stairs were entries to different rooms which you couldn't see inside due to the spot you were standing in. You tried leaning over a little in an attempt to get a better look, failing as only a small part of the next room showed itself to your view.

"Alright let's go to your room!" Japan announced as she lead you up the marble stairs. You shared glances with Canada still shocked.
"My room??" You questioned in disbelief.
"Yes, did you expect to sleep in the basement?"
"No no! That's not it! I'm just...I-I don't know what to say! This place is... indescribable..." you finished your sentence as Japan turned to the right leading into a hallway with an seemingly endless corridor.
She unexpectedly stopped in front of the first room to the left and opened the door to it, stepping aside for you to see.
"This is your room!" If your jaw could have actually dropped to the floor it would be laying there right now. The room was bigger than the one you stayed in at Canadas, much bigger.
You muttered a curse under your breath, unsure of how to appropriately react. Canada Shared a similar reaction, looking at Japan like she had just used Magic.

"We'll I'll let you settle in (Y/N)! Don't get lost!" She warned half jokingly, disappearing down the stairs. Her shoes clacked against the marble, creating a slight echoe.

"I know I'm not supposed to judge but do they shit money or something?" Canadas comment made you turn to him, disbelieving your own ears but quickly bursting out laughing at his remark.

You looked around your new room and weren't as surprised anymore. With how rich Germanys house looked it wasn't a surprise that this room looked rich as well. Your new room was decorated with a Queen sized bed which stood to the right against the wall, right to it an doorway which lead to a bathroom.
The cushions on your bed not only looked like heaven they also smelled like it. The white fluffy pillows immediately stood out to you.

A big corner closet sat against the left corner of the room, next to where Canada stood beside you. If you put all the clothes you brought with you in there, it would look like you brought nothing at all!

A beautiful dark wooden desk decorated with gold edgings stood to the left too, the gold shimmering slightly in the sun reflecting from the big window that covered basically the whole wall looking to the outside. Now that you looked closer you could see some sort of Garden from where you were standing, all sorts of flowers peeked through the green grass. All Organizer and in their respected places with their own kind. You had never seen let alone been in something that was so incredible.

You and Canada admired and checked everything for a little while more before actually getting to work. Putting the clothes in the closet and your belongings either in the bathroom or in the cabinets connected to the dark wooden table.

bzzzz....bzzzz....bzzzz....bz-

"Yes hello? Oh hi Ame...Yeah I just did...

...

...
YOU WHAT?! Are you serious?! You-"

Beep

"That little shit I swear to god-"
"Canada? Is everything alright?"He swung his head up to face you
"Yeah-? Yes- well no- actually- Nevermind... I need to go to the cabin since America decided to almost burn the kitchen down!" He angrily fumbled for his keys, patting down his pocket but quickly going over to search in his jacket. When he finally found them he quickly hustled to get out. He left the room with you close behind. Down the stairs where both of your shoes creating the same echoing sound as Japans shoes did, and to the front door, though he stopped once he was in the doorway, looking back and seeing your worried and uneasy glances.

"You'll visit right?" You pleaded with him
"I already have an idea how we'll see each other every now and then.." he told you reassuringly, making you sigh and close your eyes.
"(Y/N)..." he said empathetically, reaching into his pocket and soon after pressing something into your cold hands, squeezing your fingers around the just as cold object. You opened your eyes to find that he left a weird looking metallic something in your hands. A small brown spot which you presumed was wood was on it. Hardly noticeable the name 'CANADA' was carved into the wood, making it look slightly darker.

You looked down on the object, trying to get your mind on what it was.
"But why..?"
"So you'll have something to protect you when I'm not there..." he leaned closer to your head and quickly, barely noticeably kissed it. And before you could comprehend what happened he was gone.
