Bruce and Damian arrived safely with Dr. Langstrom.  Dick and I put our masks back on and walked slowly toward them. I didn't agree with the way Bruce brought him in though. They sat him on a chair and put a hood over his head, which unintentionally reminded me of my past. The victims. So I sadly was used to seeing this. Bruce pulled the hood from his head, and the doctor looked around at the Batcave.

 "Where am I ?" He asked. 

"Just start talking". Bruce ordered.

 "Ra's wanted me to splice animal DNA to human, using advanced mutagen, He explained. "He would provide volunteers for me to work with.
  
    I'm guessing some of those volunteers were the ones whose lives I spared when Ra's and Taliah wanted me to murder them.

 "Obviously, you took him up on it". I said as he nodded to me. 

" I knew it would mean prison if anyone discovered I was up to my old experiments". He said as he explained more. "But how do you say no to Ra's Al Ghul?" 

I believed him. You could never tell no to Ra's because it was a kill-or-be-killed threat.

"He wanted you to create the ultimate warriors". Dick asserted.

    "Yes, Ra's called it operation Air Strike. No military could withstand an army of flying super-powered ninjas using sonar in the dead of night". Langstrom said, explaining more in detail the situation he was in. 

"Yes, but Deathstroke took over". Dick said.

   "The formula was my ace in the hole. I kept working on it, making improvements". Langstrom then looked at the 4 of us. " If I completely finished it, I didn't know what he might do."

 "Do you know where your family is?".  I asked him

"I don't know. He let me speak to them once, briefly. One of them must've talked about the conditions they were in like. Like if it was snowing, raining, or something like that". Bruce said.
  
"My daughter mentioned something about snow. Uh, and two mountain peaks that she said looked like cat ears". He said nervously. Damian and I  knew exactly the place he was talking about.

"Interlaken, Ra's compound". I said, almost immediately. 

"You sure?". Bruce asked me with an unsure look.

 "Yes". I said as Bruce turned over to Langstrom. 

"Can you make an antidote to the Man-Bat formula? With the right materials and right equipment". Langstrom nodded a yes to Bruce.

 "It's possible, but what about my family?"He asked.

 I could tell that he was really worried about his family, and I felt bad for him. 

"Don't worry, we will get your family back I promise. You're in good hands". I said, giving him a small reassurance.

 Bruce and Damian got inside the batwing getting ready to leave again. 
  
   "Nightwing, you stay here and manage the Batcave. Make sure he's doing what he's supposed to do". 

"Before you go, can I say something to Robin really quick?" I asked Bruce. He nodded as Damian got off and came to me. I kneel down to his level and put my hands over his shoulders.

 "Since I'm not coming with you for this, promise me that you're going to listen and do whatever he says, and don't do anything stupid. You're the only other part of me that I love. And I couldn't bear losing you, you know. So promise me you're going to stay safe and take care of yourself". I said as my voice cracked a little bit and my eyes were getting watery.

 "I promise". He said. I gave him a hug so tight, that didn't want to let go.

 "I love you, Damian". I whispered in his ear. 

"Me too". He whispered back. He let go of the hug and headed back to the Batwing.

 "And Batman... protect him.", I said to Bruce, as I was trying so hard not to cry. 

"He will be safe, trust me". He said as he pulled the window up. When they left I couldn't help but silently cry a little bit. As much as it hurts letting him go on his own for the first time, I knew it was the right thing to do. I knew he has to create a bond with Bruce at least a little bit, so he doesn't end up like me, having an undefined bond with Taliah. 

   "Are you ok?". Dick asked, putting his hand on my shoulder.

 "Yeah I'm fine, I'm just a little over dramatic that's it". I said to Dick, wiping the tears off my face.

 "Just trust Bruce, okay? He might be a little inexpressive, but he does keep his promises".

 " I hope so". I said, trying really hard to belive what Dick is saying.
