Y/n's POV

"Doah purposely jumped into the car making it looks like Mr. Kim hit her... why would she do that?" Like, what the hell is she thinking? She's killing herself or something? And I'm pretty sure Doah's aware it's our car because the village has the same car/van image.

"I don't know, but the police said a person pushed her..." Xiaoting and I are currently in the hospital, and Mr. Kim is in the police station. We're just waiting for Doah's parents so we can get out of this cold room already. "And I think it's the same guy that I saw she's going out to the mall..." She added making me turn to her. Doah is seeing a new person? Good for her but I think the person she chose is a psychopath.

"Who's the guy?"

"I don't know, bao. Let's just set it aside and let the police do the work-"

"No" this person must pay the price. He could not just kill Doah like that. "What do you mean by No?"

"We must find out who's this person and help Doah. He almost killed the poor girl-"

"I thought we agreed on cutting off things with Doah?"

"But this thing is serious-"

"Can't you see she's just making a show to get your attention?!" Are we going to fight again? I don't get it why she's so irritated at Doah. Doah's kind, why can't anybody see that except me.

"Just one more time, please. I just want to help her"

"Fine. Don't talk to me" alright, here she goes again. Xiaoting rarely hates other people. When we were still at school, she was all-time friendly except for those who gave me letters. But when it comes to Doah, she looks like she wanted to kick Doah off the planet. "Come on, let's not fight anymore"

"We're not going to fight if you set this aside, you're not police or a detective, just let them do the work. Why do you always care about Doah anyway... you're always there for her but that time I went to Korea, you didn't even watch the show, you focused on studying like you don't have a fiancée" Xiaoting's eyes were turning again. Did she feel that way? That she thinks I didn't supported her? Screw my ugly handwriting, it's all because of that.

"No, don't think about that. I didn't watch it but I never missed a day telling you good luck but you changed your number. I supported you in everything, Shen Xiaoting, but I'm a dead quiet person and you know that. I'm not good at expressing my feelings even before we started dating. I was always there and I know you are too... stop thinking I never cared about you because you're my first priority, come on, let's quit fighting" I tried to hug her but she dodged me away. "I don't think so... when Doah called for you, you always come. Even this morning, you agreed to me saying you'll cut off things with her but later on, you asked for my permission to meet her again. Tell me, do you like Doah?" Why does she keep on asking these questions? Doesn't she believe me when I tell her she's the only person I love? I always tell her that but looks like she doesn't trust me fully. I should be the one who's not trusting her anymore.

"That's not true. How many times do I have to tell you that I don't fall in love easily? Or... let's just say, you're the only person who I got interested in my entire life? Kim Doah is far from you, you're different from the rest in my eyes. I only like her as a friend, nothing else. And you, I like and love you at the same time. As a lover. It's hard to explain but-"

"I get it, I get it... I'm sorry" She cut me off but she doesn't sound sincere. I know her very well, her voice changes when she's telling a lie when she's sad, angry, or happy. "I'll go home now"

"I'll take you home-"

"No, go help Doah. I'll take a cab, you go take the car to the police station" No matter how hard I try explaining things to her, she won't agree with me easily. "No-no, I'll-"

"I can go home alone, I have some schedules tomorrow, I should get going" Hugging her small purse on her chest, she went to the elevator without even making eye contact with me. Her face stays blank, not until the elevator closes, I met her eyes with hers and saw her sad face again.

Should I give her space? I think so... I just need to finish this one for Doah, I guess it'll only take a couple of days...

Third Person's POV

The 'couple of days' that Y/n thought turned into weeks. The guy who pushed Doah was hard to find until dispatchers caught him across Doah's own apartment. The whole week they're searching, he was just living in the same building as Doah's!

"That's it for today's practice, well-done everyone" Mihawk, their dance trainor announced. Y/n was again placed into the other subunit to cover Xiaoting's supposed place. You Dayeon was supposedly the one taking it but she refused saying she doesn't fit the vibe of the song.

If the first lineup consists of cool-teen concept, the second one is cute concept, the third one is a mix of preppy and sexy. Y/n was again tasked to wear skirts but this time in Korean shows. With the unit song "LOVE DIVE", the company bought the probable song that will take the group into success in Korean charts.

"I must say Y/n improved a lot in dancing..." The instructor praised. "I should, saem (teacher). I saw a lot of negative comments about my dancing, I want to improve in this skill" Y/n chugged on her water while the others sat beside her.

"It's not good to read negative comments, Y/n. Please refrain from that. Also, how are you and Xiaoting?" He whispered the last question so the staffs inside the room won't hear. Mihawk knew about it because Hikaru, again, slipped. Thankfully Mihawk isn't homophobic. "Still not talking" Ziyin replied.

"Why did you even get back with her, she can't even let you talk to other girls... "

"Because our parents will kill us if we don't end up?" Y/n replied jokingly though it's slightly true. Hers and Xiaoting's parents agreed on marrying their only children even before giving birth to them. They don't care if it's going to be the same gender or the opposite but they wished for two girls. The plan is to end the family bloodline of the Song because the only Song left in the family are Yifan, Youyi, and Y/n, the rest were all gone because of business fights. The Shens are stable, but threats are still received because they're still connected to the Song business.

"It will be us until the end, whether we like it or not"

"I agree but you two are unhealthy... can you set aside the relationship?" Ziyin requested. Sounds rude but Y/n is used to Ziyin commanding her. "I just can't, jie. Xiaoting is so near to me, there's no way I can ignore her around... and there's someone out there after us, I will never keep her out of my sight" Y/n explained in Chinese so the others to not know about their family problem.

"Fine... but when working, can you focus? You're always worrying about her" Ziyin has been observing her cousin for a week already. In the first two days, Y/n skipped dinner. Y/n also skipped their classes except for Dance class. However, Ziyin is relieved Y/n eats regularly now unlike before, she rarely goes out of her room or if she goes out, it's straight out of the house. Also, Ziyin scolded Xiaoting for whatever she did to her cousin (because she never knew the reason why they were fighting again) but all she relieved was a seen icon from Xiaoting.

"Okay, noted" Y/n assured.

"Also, unnie, why don't you talk to Xiaoting unnie now?" Jiyoon asked. "It's been a week already"

"I will talk to her if she's not angry anymore" Y/n crossed her arms, leaning her back to the mirrored wall. "What happened anyway?" Yeyoung asked. Mihawk pulled his chair closer, ready to listen to his student.

"I never told this to anyone but... Doah got into an accident"

"KIM DOAH?!" Jiyoon covered her mouth in shock. Although she's not that very close to Doah, Doah is pretty famous in the town.

"Yeah... me and Xiaoting were heading to the Han River to meet her but she got pushed in the middle of the road, our car hit her"

"Coincidence..." Ziyin rested her chin on her hands. "I hate that girl so much" She whispered in Chinese, Y/n heard it but she can't contradict it since she knows a lot of members hated Doah for some reason she doesn't know. "Coincidence indeed, who pushed her?" Mihawk asked.

"She's with a guy-"

"She has a boyfriend!?" Jiyoon exclaimed once again. "Wah~ I knew it, it was really, really, obvious during the show"

Y/n tilted her head, she's dating already during the show but she likes me at the same time? She thought to herself.

"The guy seems like a boyfriend to her but nothing is confirmed... Xiaoting also mentioned she saw Doah with the guy in a mall after their disbandment..."

"Did the police get him?" Mihawk asked. Y/n nodded her head making everyone sigh. "Lowkey wished Mr. Kim was driving fast that time" Ziyin again whispered in Chinese but this time, Y/n never heard it. "So why did Xiaoting unnie get mad at you?"

"Xiaoting told me to ignore Doah because... well... Doah confessed to me-"

"SHE'S GAY?!" You already know who exclaimed again...

"May~be...? I'll continue... you guys know that I'm dating Xiaoting for a long time now and we kept it in private... Doah never knew about this and the last time I and Xiaoting went to the Han river, Doaj came running into me then kissed me all of the sudden... on the lips" Y/n is lowkey cringing while storytelling because she doesn't really want to share it with others. "What did Xiaoting unnie do? Did she slap Doah? Pulled her hair? Did they fight? Did she throw Doah unnie onto the river? Did-"

"Calm down, Jiyoon... I wished those things happened but let Y/n finish her story" Ziyin laughed at the younger. "Please continue"

"Xiaoting didn't do anything, she was just standing there. She looks broken though. So I pulled away, Doah thanked me because she said a guy is following her. She saw Xiaoting and she asked if we were on a date, I said no-"

"Boom, there. You're the mistake" Ziyin cut her cousin off. "Why did you even denied. Do you like Doah? That's why you denied it?"

"Of course not! I just... I don't know why I denied... but yeah, just like you, jie-jie, Xiaoting got mad and... we fought in the car until-"

"You kissed" Jiyoon dramatically covered her mouth, "this is like a fairy-tale-"

"Jiyoon, no. She slapped me" Silence entered the room, their eyes widened. Mihawk was jaw-dropped while Ziyin looks like she was mad knowing Xiaoting slapped her cousin.

"Slapped where?" Jiyoon asked. "In the face"

"I want to get angry at Xiaoting but I guess you deserve that" Ziyin stated. Yeyoung agreed and then followed by Mihawk. "I guess it's the right time you tell Doah you're dating Xiaoting already... and say you're sorry to Xiaoting... she'll get madder if you don't" Mihawk advised. "I guess it is... but how do I tell her about Yurina and Xiaoting?"

"Wait, they were a thing?!" Jiyoon asked, only Y/n and Ziyin knew about it in the room. Mihawk doesn't seem surprised because he was the choreographer of Planet Girls before, he knows the two are close and the other members teased them the most.

"They were but the feelings weren't mutual as you expected, they were forced to be together"

"By who?"

"Yurina's mother"

"Oh~ I hate that type of mother, the one who orders around," Yeyoung said.

"I guess you just need to tell her that they broke up already, that's it, Doah will believe you anyway" Ziyin suggested. Y/n agreed on it but she needs some time. The practice was dismissed, and Y/n was left alone in the building to practice all by herself.

"If Xiaoting's here, it'll be a lot easier to practice my dance skills" She rolled herself to the floor, all exhausted. She looked at the time and it displays 5 pm. It's dinner soon and she needs to go home already. Packing up her things, she opened the glass door only to see no one. The environment looks creepy and dark.

"There are no such things as ghosts, only ghosters " she laughed to herself, remembering the time she considered Xiaoting ghosted her (chapter 6). "Aiya~ tiresome times..." She walked towards the elevator silently but something invaded her ears. Stomping footsteps by the stairs that were just beside the elevator. She stopped in her tracks, thinking if there were still people left in the building.

After the footsteps stopped, she proceed on walking toward the elevator. She was about to press the button when she heard the thing again. This time, it was running. She peeked on the stairway, only to get bumped by somebody. Both of them landed on the floor but that person pulled Y/n up and hugged her. The person was breathing heavily, exhausted from running. "Excuse me? Do you need-"

"Unnie- it's me" Doah lifted her head. Ah, Doah. She got discharged right away since there was no serious wound in her. "Doah? Why are you he-, why are you even running down the stairs?"

"I thought you were ignoring me the whole week so I visi-" The elevator dinged at the same time making them look at the doorway.

As the door slowly opened, it revealed Xiaoting.
