"How did it go?"

Y/n just got home, slumped, walking like an emotionless zombie in front of 4 people. Ruiqi, Ziyin, Dayeon, and Mrs. Bong. The sun is already up and Y/n's expression was not the one they were expecting.

"Why aren't you crying? You didn't do it?" Ruiqi, the number one 'please break up with her' supporter, asked. She was the second one who told Y/n to break up with her fiancée, the first one was Ziyin. Both of them want the healthiest for Y/n and breaking up with a walking red flag is the only solution. Su Ruiqi originally wants the couple to make up at first but after Xiaoting messing up with her boss again, she's on the other side now.

"I think... she did" Ziyin walked closer to her cousin then pulled out her necklace revealing two rings hanging. The other girls gasped, unknown if it was out of grief or happiness. Well, for Ruiqi, she's glad.

"Finally" Ziyin stroked Y/n's back. "Good job"

Y/n then snapped, walking away at a fast pace towards her bedroom. The girls stared at her figure stomping on the stairs loudly, her fist coiled. "Now she's going to cry, great"

"That's normal when you're going through a break-up... let's just hope she won't baby Xiaoting again once she comes back... we know Y/n... very... forgiving" Ziyin shook her head. She was very disappointed that Y/n keeps on forgiving Xiaoting at everything. And also, Y/n covering Xiaoting's mess isn't right. Just because you're deeply in love, you shouldn't give all yourself in.

"Sojung is probably emo-Ting right now too. She's probably not expecting that... What should we do to avoid atmosphere awkwardness if we're all in the same room?" Dayeon asked. "I'm sure Y/n won't get this team involved in her heartbreak. Remember what CEO told us? Be careful when dating because when the situation is down, it might affect the group. Y/n is very professional so I think it'll be fine"

What Ziyin predicted actually happened the next day. Even though Xiaoting didn't come home last night and Y/n woke up with swollen eyes, Y/n was acting very normal during the meeting at the company.

"What happened, Y/n?" Kyungsoo asked as the girl took off her cap inside the room. "Her chicken in China was k worded, sir"

"Last time was a cat, now chicken? You really like animals huh?"

"Yes" Everyone looked at Su Ruiqi. "What? Chicken and Cats are animals? Y'all weird"

"Anyway... sorry for your loss. May your chicken rest in paradise" the people inside the room laughed including Y/n who was holding it ever since Ziyin made another lame excuse.

"Let's discuss our future projects... but before we start, where is Miss Shen?"

"I'm here, I'm here... sorry I'm late" the glass doors were pushed by none other than Shen Xiaoting whose eyes were also swollen. Everyone was looking at her coldly, especially the other two close Chinese friends. "Why are your eyes swollen too, Ms. Shen? Cried over an animal too?" Kyungsoo asked that made Xiaoting taken aback. "What do you mean, sunbaenim?"

"Miss Yang also got puffy eyes and Ziyin said she cried over an animal last night" Xiaoting's face was still confused. Is Ziyin talking about an actual 'animal' or she's calling Xiaoting an 'animal'?

That kind of offended her but she got no rights to fight back. "A-Ah... I was watching a drama, sunbaenim. I stayed up all night and forgot about the meeting today..."

"It's fine, it's fine... sit down" Xiaoting sat between Jiyoon and Jia who are both unaware of the crisis. "The four other members are going to join this meeting through zoom..."

"Good morning, kids" the monitor was showed three faces on the huge television in front of them. "Good morning, everyone!" All of them greeted cheerfully, well, except Hikaru who knows what happened yesterday. She was surprised Xiaoting and Y/n were in the same room right now.

"How is it promoting in your homeland?"

"We didn't expect the people who support us here would be that huge in number... the debut showcase sold out, sunbaenim" Manami, their leader, spoke. The first lineup doesn't have a leader because they didn't vote for one. In J-line, all of them were 2004 liners except Manami so they voted her as their leader. But all units have no official positions yet.

"Congratulations! I expected that to happen... How's your first show and radio broadcast?"

"All good, sunbaenim" Kyungsoo nodded his head, smiling as she shows the girls how proud he is. He can't come to Japan because he got a drama shooting, but Manager Lee is with them with one of Manami's sisters as their guide.

"It's nice to hear that you guys are having fun... but we got a problem" everyone's faces turned serious. This is the first time they will encounter a problem. Everything moved smoothly during the first line-up's promotions, what could go wrong?

"WakeOne Entertainment, also known as Planet Girls' previous entertainment emailed our office earlier. At first, I thought they were just going to ask for Shen Xiaoting because of the rumors circulating that she's signed under Youth Entertainment but they were also looking for Ezaki Hikaru"

"Me?" Hikaru asked while pointing at herself.

"In May, Planet Girls was reported disbanded by their own company due to rigging of votes done by two companies. I will not mention those companies because I know most of you are friends with the members involved so I will not talk about it. WakeOne recounted the vote and released an article about the original, non-rigged line up including Shen Xiaoting and Ezaki Hikaru"

"Us?" Xiaoting and Hikaru exclaimed in unison. "Why are they looking for us, sunbaenim?" Asked Xiaoting.

"They're planning on debuting the rightful members due to fans' heavy request. But the decision will be up to you, girls. They will give the group a contract of 1.5 years, the supposedly remaining years of Planet Girls. I know the first lineup knows about my future visions within the group. I told them that all members can't accept any deals if it wasn't related to group promotions. The only solo deals that I accepted are the endorsement deals. Photoshoots don't take long and endorsements can help the group image. About this debut stuff, I will leave it to you two. I can't just say no because your fans spent a lot just to vote on you... you should not let your fans down. What do you say? Let's start with Miss Shen because her debut is going to be at the end of the year which is still far from now" everyone, except for Y/n, looked at Xiaoting.

Xiaoting's POV

CEO was right, we can't just waste the fans' effort during that show. And if I join this redebutation, maybe I can get an excuse to the Kawaguchi family that I will be full-time busy. Also, I can give Y/n space. But if she stops me right here, right now, I won't join.

I looked in her direction but Su Ruiqi bent forward to cover her direction. I met Sury's eyes and she's looking more affected in our situation. I figured out that the reason why she's calling Y/n her boss is because Y/n helped her get together with Luofei. That's right, she's dating. Y/n makes a pretty good matchmaker.

I saw a glimpse of Y/n and her arms were crossed in front of her, probably waiting for my response.

I was thinking if I go with the other group, will she get angry? Or she'll get angry if I don't join? But both of us just broke up, I think she prefers for me to give her space? I know we broke up after she discovered me cheating but made up right away. This time, she looks serious. She even took off my engagement ring. I think...

Fine, I'll give her space.

"It's fine, sunbaenim. I'll join... I thought about what you said earlier, fans are indeed important and we can't invalidate their effort. I saw my fans badly want me to debut as well. I'll... participate" The members beside me gasped while the two Chinese sighed. I can see Hikaru looking bewildered onscreen. The members were talking to her but their microphone was muted.

"It's okay, guys. Don't worry. Shen Xiaoting will still return to the group after a year and a half. She will still be included in the group's final line-up so please don't worry much" Kyungsoo assured.

"What about you, Hikaru?" I saw Manami unmuted their line and Y/n focused back on the screen. Her expression never changed so I'm guessing she's fine with my decision. I hope so...

"Sunbaenim... what about my current group promotion?" That was the first thing Hikaru asked. They were just beginning their Japan promotions...

"The three new members can handle it but if they can't, we can get an import for your position. But first, what is your decision?"

"1 and a half years is long... but I debuted already, right? I don't have to worry to get replaced or something?" Is Hikaru referring to me? Am I still an unofficial member who's not sure to be debuted or not?

"No, Hikaru. Everyone here is already the final group. No more trainees to be added to the company. I just need 12 talented girls to join my group" I sighed, I hope I'm still on the bridge of not debuting.

"Ah... I and the girls talked about it already. They are fine with me joining the other group but... can I have a request?" Hikaru clasped her hands. "Sure, what is it?"

"Me and the girls here talked about how can this group's hype continue here. If I'm going away with the other member (Xiaoting), the fans will only look forward to that debutation. But if we add a member here, they will also look forward to the new group here in Japan. But since we don't have another Japanese member left who can talk fluently... what about the other members...or  Y/n-nim who's fluent in Japanese... or Su Ruiqi! She's the most popular non-Japanese member who's famous here" The J-line nodded at everything Hikaru discussed. I will be glad if Y/n will join the unit, she deserves the spotlight in Japan knowing she's the least popular member there. I read a survey somewhere that Y/n is very popular in China but she's the least in Japan and second to the last in the Korean survey. Seeing how she improved so much, especially in dancing, I think it's time for her to shine everywhere without a doubt.

"If I was to be asked, I can't join. I'm sorry but just last day, I talked to our agency and China and they're giving me a solo. Although it's not going to be promoted much, I will be busy in online interviews..." Ah, I also heard about that. She's gearing up for a solo but is not going to promote face-to-face. I also heard that Lay sunbaenim, our CEO in China, also asked for Y/n but Y/n said she's busy doing something so she can't. I don't know what is that something but I think it's her songs.

"Oh, I remember. Su Ruiqi is also having her solo debut in China, let's give her a round of applause" We all clapped and Ruiqi stood up then bowed as thanks. "Since Su Ruiqi is going to be busy, the other members busy at training, what about you You Dayeon, Yoon Jia, and Yang Y/n? Anyone?"

"I'm not fluent, sunbaenim " Both Jia and Dayeon reasoned at the same time. "Y/n unnie would be a great choice. She knows Japanese and could boost up her popularity here" Manami uttered through the camera.

"What do you say, Y/n?" Now, it's time for us to look at her. She was staring blankly at the table until Ruiqi elbowed her making her look at the CEO. "I'm sorry, pardon?" She's overthinking again... she's out of herself whenever her thoughts cloud over her mind.

"Do you want to join the kids in Japan? You're the only option left" She turned to the girls on the monitor. All of them were encouraging her to say yes because it's a huge opportunity.

"I guess I got no option but to say yes"

"Then it's all set! I will join the group and Y/n unnie will join this unit- omo, I'm so happy AH-" Hikaru was about to shout but Manami immediately pressed mute leaving us all laughing over her silent shout. Hikaru is cute but whenever she's on stage... or when she's looking at me... she's very fierce.

"Why are you so cheerful, Hikaru?" Kyungsoo asked.

"Y/n unnie is an important person to me, sunbaenim. I think she deserves the attention here too so it's a good thing not for me, but her. I don't care if I will get shaded out in that new group, all I want is for Y/n unnie to shine in my country. I want her to get out of there too because..." Hikaru paused. What did she just say? She wants Y/n to get out of Korea because of why? Because I'm around her here?

"Because?"

"Because I've seen a lot of haters in Korea. I've never seen any hate comments from Japan, although the positive ones are few, I know her supporters will grow if she comes and promote here. So Y/n unnie, what do you think?"

"Thank you for thinking about me, Hikarun. You're right, I've seen more hate comments here in Korea. But I don't take them personally-"

"Na-uh, I saw your mood swing after reading one. Don't lie" Ziyin pointed at Y/n. She sighed then smiled. She just got caught by her cousin. "Fine, I get upset by the negative comments. But we can't avoid them. And also, I want a new environment to surround me. I can meet new friends there too, right?" Wait, new friends means new rivals... wait,

"YES! there are a lot of nice people here, Y/n unnie! You can meet my friends, we got the same interests-"

"You mean HKT48, right? I was looking forward to meeting them as well" Y/n cut her off. Oh no. The 48 groups. They are gay-

"Nice! So it's all settled" Hikaru clapped her hands with the other members beside her. They looked so delighted, did they know about mine and Y/n's break up so they're taking her away from me? I guess... it's the right thing anyway.

"Then all is settled now. Shen Xiaoting and Ezaki Hikaru will join WakeOne, Y/n will go to Japan and promote with the second unit... thank you for making up your mind real quick. I wish for everyone's success"

Hold up, she's going to Japan? That means there's a high chance she will see me there IF the Kawaguchi family will call for me, right? Why did I forget about those?
