35 : angel baby

Jia's POV

"Young, about the other day... you said you ship Y/n unnie to Sojung unnie, why? And isn't Sojung unnie dating Yuri unnie?" Jia was staying over at Youngeun's house since it's still YXY's vacation. Jia already met Youngeun's parents and just like their daughter, they are kind as well.

"I used to be their so-called daughter but I don't like Yurina unnie with Xiaoting unnie anymore... I don't think they match well like Y/n unnie and Sojung unnie... they also spend time rarely after Y/n unnie came"

"You know, Xiaoting unnie go to our house every day just to see our unnie. Isn't that sweet? But they said they're only best friends" Jia looked up at their foot lying flat on the wall of Youngeun's room. "But best friends can sometimes fall in love with each other" Youngeun responded made Jia turn to her. Jia has been liking Youngeun for so long already but she's scared to confess especially since both of them are girls. There is a high chance Youngeun would reject her.

"I just think those best friends are meant for each other" Youngeun added, her smile became wider as she thought about her two unnies. The real thing is, Youngeun saw both Xiaoting and Y/n walking back the gates one-time she got home early from school. Both of them talked happily and were walking while holding each other's hands.

A few days ago before that happened, the two of them weren't in a good mood because as Xiaoting told them what happened, they fought before Xiaoting went to the competition.

"Aigoo, Sojung unnie looks extra happy today... maybe they already settled their fight" Youngeun sighed, resting her head on the concrete of her room's patio.

"When will I confess to Youngeun?"

Doah's POV

I was walking towards our old house, holding this heavy basket in my hand full of fruits for unnie. It's been days since I talked to her and today, I guess I'm not angry about her lying anymore.

"Good morning, ma'am" The guard opened the gates for me then I ran towards the neighbor's doors. I also fixed my clothes and posture to look presentable.

Third Person's POV

"Go-, oh, hello Doah-ssi" Ruan opened the door. "Hello, is Y/n here?" Doah politely asked but Ruan looked at her sourly. She remembered the day Doah fought with her while Y/n was sick. "Nope. Our unnie is in China right now"

"But Ruiqi is at home already? Y/n should be home too"

"Yes, she is home in China. What is it do you want to do here?" Ruan couldn’t keep her nice gesture to this girl after hearing what she told them. Doah was being mean to her foreign members and also herself.

"I just want to see her" Doah showed her the fruit basket. "And give her these"

"Oh, sorry but she's really in China right now" Ruan scoffed. Doah noticed Ruan's behavior and then dropped the basket on the ground intentionally.

"Let me ask her first"

"Go on" Ruan rolled her eyes without Doah noticing.

Kim Doah
Unnie are you home?

Yang Y/n
I'm in China Doah-ssi
Talk to you later, I'll board a flight

Kim Doah
Okay
Take care

"So?" Ruan scorned once again. Doah glanced inside of the house and only saw Hikaru, Kotone, and Manami sitting in the living room, also looking at them.

"I'll go now" Doah picked up the basket then left the house. Ruan was silently laughing, closing the door as she saw Doah's figure walking away.

But for Doah, she doesn't believe Y/n's words anymore. She turn around then walked behind the house, below Y/n's porch. She then heard someone talking in Chinese near her but she was not sure who it is. Doah tried to find a way up but she saw a glimpse of Dayeon entering the gates so she decided to stop there. "I'll go the other day" Doah finally gave up then kicked the basket off the cliff that's just near the house. "What a waste"

Y/n's POV

I woke up feeling wrapped up by a pair of arms around me... as usual. It's always like this, mostly, whenever I'm a big spoon before sleeping, I'll end up being the small spoon in the morning. Actually, Xiaoting's shoulders are broader than mine so I like to sleep on them.

I looked up at the sleeping figure of my fiancée, angel-looking as always. But not an angel at all.

I slowly climbed off the bed to prepare breakfast. I didn't bother to fix myself like I always do at our group's house because who cares anyway, I don't look that bad in my morning look. I just sleepily brushed my teeth then went down silently. It's still 6 in the morning, probably the head maiden and the gardener are the only ones awake. During my stay last month, I learned that Shiyu mostly wakes up at 7 because she only comes out of her room at that time. My mom wakes up much earlier than me but today is weekend, she doesn't have to work so probably, she'll wake up at 10. Or not...

"Good morning!" My mom happily waved at me as she dance on some Zumba show on the television.

"Go eat some breakfast, Hao-jie (head maiden) cooked that for us earlier"

"Mom, Xiaoting is sleeping upstairs" I took the remote then volumed the television a bit down. "I know, but the sound won't reach your room" She went up to me then snatched the remote off my hands.

"Go eat, we'll go somewhere later" I went to the kitchen, and surprisingly, Shiyu was already awake and helping Mrs. Hao do something.

"Good...morning?" Shiyu sounded confused. Do I look ugly today? I haven't checked myself yet. "Mrs. Song said you should eat early today because we're going somewhere" She pulled out a seat for me then arranged the utensils in front. "Where, actually?"

"Hainan Islands, miss" Ah, we're just going to visit dad. "She also said that the doctor will remove the implanted bone braces off your shoulders and hips too" Braces? Oh, I forgot about that already. When I was eleven, I was practicing skateboarding for the first time and I accidentally slipped down a deep ramp while practicing and broke my hip and shoulder. Gladly Mr. Win and dad were there to take me to the hospital immediately. It's not that seriously bad injury but my mom is that worried so they implanted something that I never knew until I was 12. They also told me they implanted some tracker on me in case I'll get kidnapped again. This family doesn't want to lose their only child.

"The orthopedic braces... I guess that's the reason why my body's stiff as hell..." if I'm not mistaken, I saw a lot of tweets saying "Why is she the center? She's so stiff" "She can't dance" "She's only pretty but she can't dance" I also asked our CEO why did he put me as a center knowing I'm stiff in the first evaluations but he said it's the members who decided. Before I came to the company, they watched an audition video sent by my previous company and the first one who said that I should be the center is Yoon Jia. She praised me a lot too during the evaluation but that doesn't change the fact I'm stiff.

"It doesn't matter if you're stiff right now, the only thing matters is how you can hundred percent attract fans. And there's always time for improvements. Your previous company told me how fast you adopt new skills, I believe in you. You can be the best in the future" The CEO answered. I mean, I just debuted, there's so much more time. And, I got Xiaoting to teach me full time now...

"You're stiff? I never noticed that?" Shiyu asked. She confessed to me that she's a fan of my group but I'm not her bias, it's Dayeon because they're the same age. "I'm sure a lot didn't notice that and if they do, it's alright, they can't dance better than you" I already mentioned before that I'm scared of being criticized. I'm very thankful some people appreciate me and comfort me whenever I get these comments.

"Can braces in bones be taken off?" I'm not sure about this but if it can be taken off, it takes some time to recover. It's been years in me as well, who knows that thing dissolved or something. I never liked anatomy so I don't have any knowledge about this. "I'm not sure as well but the thing your doctor will do is just like that, I think. It'll be okay, you got the whole month to rest, right?" I nodded my head. I guess it's for the good too. If I want to see myself improve in dancing, I guess this is a better move.

"You'll be there to take care of me, right?"

"Yup, me, Xiaoting, and Mrs. Song. We're all here for you"

"Sheesh"

"And by the way, you got something on your neck" Shiyu stood by the kitchen counter then pointed her fingers at me. "Pretty big mosquito bit you, aye? There's no mosquito in your room tho, you got that electric mosquito lamp or something but yeah, you got a bite mark on your neck" A what?

"Good morning, everyone" before I could even stand up, Xiaoting appeared behind me, pushing me down back to the chair then planting a peck on my cheeks. "Good morning, miss Shen. Mrs. Song said we're off to Hainan later"

"Nice, vacation... I guess, right, baobao?" Oh, she's pet calling me again. Not the usual "Yang" or something. "What did you do?" I confronted her, pointing somewhere on my neck because I'm pretty sure she was the one who did it.

"That's not the side, it's this one" she held my finger then placed it on the other side of my neck. This girl-

"It's pretty, right?"

"Why-"

"Right, Zhou Shiyu?" She looked in Shiyu's direction teasingly. Is she that jealous of Shiyu? Shiyu's probably not gay and if she is, I'm not going to hit on her.

"Why are you asking her? I'm asking y-"

"I'm hungry" Xiaoting tapped my cheeks then went to the other side of the table as Shiyu brought her breakfast. "Mom!" I shouted, still glaring at Xiaoting who was looking at me teasingly.

"What is it, daughter?"

"Look!" I pointed at the mark. No, I'm not shy about it. I need Xiaoting to get scolded right away.

"Ting-"

"Cute" what, did I hear it right? "You two are taking steps in your relationship, congratulations!"

"Mom! I was-"

"Xiaoting transformed into a mosquito last night, I guess... eat up fast! Our flight is in 30 minutes!"

"Ma-"

"Shush, my child. It's okay, you're 23, you're mature, do whatever you want"

I'm going to say what I said earlier: Angel-looking as always. But not an angel at all.

"Why do you keep on mentioning your zhouzhou? Do you want more mosquito bites?"
