Y/n was completely befuddled. She is currently in Shenzen. She knows nothing about the location. Lucas dumped her after a month and fled with his new lover. He hurt her , like Xiaoting said.

"I warned you," Y/n flinched as she heard a familiar voice from the person seated next to her at the bus stop. Shenzen is experiencing a chilly, wet night. She just has clothing and a little bit of money with her because her ex grabbed everything.

"Jie-jie!" she said, hugging the elder girl with joy and anguish. Y/n began weeping once again. As they wait for the rain to cease, Xiaoting caressed her back. "Don't worry, I'm here now."

"Are you not angry?"

"I am... to Lucas," Xiaoting said, his gaze drawn to a man going across the street with his girlfriend. "Speaking of Lucas," Y/n peered in the direction Xiaoting was staring, but before Xiaoting could move, Y/n stopped her by gripping her wrist. "No... ignore them, I want... I want to go home, please, I'm so sorry," Y/n said, pulling her to the car waiting for them.

"You should've taken my advice."

"I know... I should've listened to you..." Y/n acknowledges her decision was the worst thing she's ever done in her life. Xiaoting just wants what is best for her, but she was too blind to notice Xiaoting's concern.

"I'm so sorry, jie," Y/n apologized again as she moved away from Xiaoting, who was still casting a frightening aura around her. "Let's head to Leshan," Xiaoting said to the driver, which confused Y/n. What address is that? She questioned herself.

"It's in Sichuan... you're the dumbest kid in school, huh? You don't know that location?" Xiaoting mocked Y/n. True, Y/n struggled with studying since she never began with a lower grade. Xiaoting created a forged paper in order to enroll her in sixth grade immediately.

"I'm sorry for being stupid," Yn's voice suddenly sounded wounded, which touched Xiaoting. "I'm sorry, I didn't intend to call you that," Xiaoting said, clearing her throat to dispel the uneasy air"I'm the same as you were before. You'll learn a lot more things... from me... eventually. I'll teach you a lot... you don't deserve him... or anybody else," the older whispered quietly. Xiaoting smiled at Y/n, but the other girl was not looking at her. This lasted till they arrived at Leshan Clift. It rained in Sichuan as well, although it was much more wet and windy.

The two stepped out of the car, and the driver drove away to abandon them. By gazing around, Y/n became perplexed. It appears to be a horrible day to come here today, she reasoned. "What are we going to do here?" she wondered.

The wind was rushing in from the open clift. The rain is also torrential. Both females were already showering in the rain, which puzzled Y/n as to why they were still there. "Jie-jie, You'll get sick-" She paused in her sentence as she noticed Xiaoting removing her top and then pants, leaving her standing proudly in her underwear in front of her. Y/n swallowed and averted her gaze. It's strange to see Xiaoting in this state.

"Why do you appear so shy? Follow my lead," Xiaoting said, grasping the younger's arms, which quickly reacted by pushing away. "A-Aiyah jie-jie, your hands are so cold," Y/n shook her body to simulate shivering. "All right, then, keep an eye on me," Xiaoting said as Y/n looked at her. The elder female abruptly jumped off the clift, shocking the younger one. "SHEN XIAOTING!" she said quickly.

Then there was a splash below the clift. Because the earth is firm, Y/n took a leisurely peak below. "Are you okay?" she inquired of Xiaoting.

"I'm OK! Jump in!" Xiaoting said, but Y/n politely declined. "I'm sorry, but I can't!"

"Don't you believe me?"

"I do!"

"Jump!" Y/n took a step back, took a deep breath, and then removed her shoes. "Y/n!" Xiaoting said since the other female was no longer replying.

"QIAN Y/N!" Xiaoting yelled again, this time louder.

"Coming!" Y/n breathed forcefully in and out. She's not even sure whether she can swim... tonight she felt despair, fury, and happiness all at the same moment. She was so dejected that she fell unconscious into the clift.

As Xiaoting saw Y/n joyously dive towards the finish, her thoughts told her something about how lost Y/n is in herself. When she watched Y/n splash down and never floated into the ocean, her happiness was replaced by a scowl.

The elder girl jumped in without hesitation to grab the girl. Y/n couldn't swim, as predicted. Or is it unconscious?

Her hands were straight up, and she was sinking. Xiaoting lowered herself, wrapping her arms around the girl's waist and dragging her above the surface.

"Hey!" she said, gently smacking the girl's cheeks. "Stop faking it! Your heart is still beating," Xiaoting said, putting her ears into the other girl's chest and hearing the beats. "Sorry! I was only pranking you!" Y/n ultimately gave up, completely smiling at Xiaoting, who was staring at her. "Don't do it again."

"What?"

"Don't die... fake your death, no" Xiaoting was going to pull her arms from around Y/n when Y/n tightened her hold even more. "I can't swim; please keep holding onto me," she said, drawing their bodies closer together. For a long time, Xiaoting had not felt warm. Someone hugging her, the presence she had missed.

"Y/n... You're turning 18 soon, right?" Xiaoting inquired. As the wave passed past them, their bodies wiggled up and down. It was also pouring, and the surroundings were gloomy.

"Yes... any minute now," Y/n said. Xiaoting laughed and said "Fifty seconds"

"What exactly do you mean?"

"Your birthday is in 48 seconds," Y/n said, raising an eyebrow. "How did you know what time it was?"

"I don't know... it's just, l know," Xiaoting abruptly broke the hug and pressed her forehead to Y/ n's, surprising the other girl with the unexpected action. What is she doing with her sisters?

"30 seconds," Xiaoting said. Their figures are gradually being dragged by the sea near the cliff tail, and the waves are becoming stronger. "Jie, I think we should go home n-"

"20 seconds," Y/n nodded and waited for the clock to strike zero. She had just gazed at Xiaoting, who was staring back at her soul. As she peered further into Xiaoting's eyes, Y/n sensed something different. There's something in it that she can't put her finger on.

"10 seconds," the younger one did not realize their faces were only an inch apart. Y/n doesn't want to think about anything else right now; she's just interested in Xiaoting's soul. "5...4...3...2..." Y/n joined Xiaoting's counting was the other second, none of them could speak yet. He? As the clock strikes midnight on Y/n's 18th birthday, their lips contact.

Their lips were going to move in unison when Xiaoting cut them short.

"Happy birthday, my darling"

Regardless of how inquisitive Y/n was about her place, the waves quickly drove the confusion away... literally.

Even before Y/n could object or ask why, a massive wave surged up behind Xiaoting and pulled them onto the rough surface of the cliff rocks, Y/n's head and body collapsing and bleeding.
