"i wish i had been there," kiri said looking at me and lo'ak in awe.

"the ocean has blessed you with a gift, my brothers." she continued.

i shook my head, denying it.

"it blessed lo'ak, he had such connection with the tulkan." i said, waving my hands around to exaggerate the word connection

"the tulkan have not returned yet," ao'nung spoke up after. "and anyway no tulkan are ever alone." he said bending down to everyone's height.

"this one was." lo'ak said, looking at ao'nung.

"he had a missing fin, like a stump on his left side." i said, quickly turning to ao'nung then to the rest.

tsireya's eyes widened, she shook her head softly like she wanted to deny it.

"the payakan," she said softly. "it's the payakan." she said looking at rotxo and ao'nung.

"the payakan?" kiri asked, tilting her head to the side.

"a young bull that went rogue," rotxo said, answering kiri's question.

"he's outcast, alone. and he has a missing fin." he continued, looking around.

"they say he is a killer," tsireya said, looking at lo'ak in worry.

"no, no." lo'ak said, shaking his head. we both knew that payakan was no killer.

"he killed na'vi and other tulkan," ao'nung said, backing up what tsireya had a said a moment ago.

"not here but far from the south." he said shrugging his shoulders.

"no he's no killer." i said shaking my head (so much head shaking 😣).

"look, you both are lucky to be alive." tsireya said looking at me and lo'ak.

"no, im telling you guys. he saved our life!" lo'ak said, slightly angry that the others didn't believe him.

"he's our friend, tell them (y/n)!" lo'ak said, looking at me for help.

i nodded my head quickly, "it is the truth." i said shortly after.

as the air got tense, neteyam stood up laughing slightly.

"my baby bros, mighty warriors." neteyam said, going up behind lo'ak and putting his hands on lo'ak's shoulder.

"who faced a killer tulkan and lived to tell about it." neteyam said jokingly, looking back and forth at me and lo'ak.

pov switch

lo'ak then nudged neteyam off him and grunted, looking back at the group infront of him.

"you guys aren't listening." lo'ak said backing away, tsireya's ears went down as she sighed.

"lo'ak, im listening" tuk said, trying to cheer up her brother. (tuk is the sweetest)

"lo'ak come back." kiri said.

(y/n) then got up as he saw lo'ak leaving, ao'nung grabbing his wrist.

"where are you going?" ao'nung asked (y/n) as the others were occupied with each other.

"just to get away from this tense air," (y/n) said as he shrugged. "want to come with?" he asked ao'nung.

ao'nung smiled and stood up, they both left hand in hand to walk around the reef.

timeskip

everyone, but lo'ak and ao'nung , rode on their ilu to the cove of the ancestors.

"we are here," tsireya said, as they rose above the water.

"this is the cove of the ancestors." she continued, looking back at the others behind her.

"our most sacred place." she finished off, her ilu swimming slowly.

everybody, mainly the sully's, gasped in admiration.

"this is crazy!" (y/n) beamed out, his ilu stopping momentarily.

"eclipse is the best time to be here." tsireya said, as (y/n) squinted his eyes and looked at the eclipse happening.

"do not look directly at it, skxawng." neteyam said, smacking the back of (y/n)'s head.

earning a small 'ow' in return.

as they swam more, they arrived to their destination.

"this is it," tsireya said, her arms extending to show what she as talking about.

"this is our spirit tree." she finished.

"it's underwater too?" (y/n) whispered to himself, although rotxo heard him.

"yes it is, we are reed na'go after all." rotxo said, rolling his eyes playfully.

(y/n) smiled i'm return, turning his head back to admire the tree.

they then got off their ilu and swam to the bottom of the spirit tree, tsireya moving signing to them to use their queue.

as (y/n) made the bond, he saw a flash of white and then both his parents had appeared.

"dad? mom?" (y/n) asked as he was in shock and confusion, not knowing he'd see both of his parents.

"𝓇𝓃𝓂, 𝓍𝓃𝓉 𝓁𝓉𝓇𝓈 𝓂𝓃𝓈 𝑒𝒽𝒻𝑔𝓈 𝒽𝓂 𝓈𝑔𝒹 𝓋𝟫𝓆 𝓈𝑔𝟫𝓈 𝒽𝓇 𝒷𝓃𝓁𝒽𝓂𝒻." son, you must not fight in the war that is coming, (y/n)'s father said in a weird language that he did not understand.

"what? i do not understand you father." (y/n) said looking between his mother
and father.

"𝓁𝓍 𝓇𝓃𝓂, 𝓀𝒽𝓇𝓈𝒹𝓂! 𝓀𝒽𝓇𝓈𝒹𝓂 𝒷𝓀𝒹𝟫𝓆𝓀𝓍!" my son, listen! listen closely! (y/n)'s mother yelled out desperately.

(m/n) and (f/n) shared a look with each other, knowing now that no matter how hard they tried to warn him.

his fate was already sealed.

his parents then pulled him into hug, his
mother tearing up.

they let him go and said something that he could finally understand.

"nga yawne lu oer" i love you they said in union, they then began to fade.

(y/n) starting to be 'waken' up by rotxo. (y/n) snapped his eyes open to see rotxo looking worried.

"what is wrong?" he signed to rotxo, he pointed to kiri.

"it is your sister, she is seizing!" he signed quickly.

they both swam to kiri and everyone helped her up to shore.

"kiri, kiri!" tuk yelled as she clung to my back, having trouble keeping up with the others.

"what is wrong, what is it?" tuk asked, worry laced through her voice.

"it was a seizure." neteyam said quickly while he hoisted up kiri onto his lap, giving cpr quickly after.

"is she breathing?" rotxo asked repeatedly, worried for kiri's life.

"get her to the village, hurry!" tsireya said, mounting her ilu.

"neteyam, i'll mount your ilu for you." i said giving tuk to tsireya.

quickly making the bond with the ilu, swimming back to the village quickly.

dear sister (y/n) thought, scared to death for kiri.
