as tsireya showed us around the village, we picked up some things to make us feel like home.

as we walked, i realized that the path thingy was bouncy. i motioned to tuk and she began bouncing. i smiled.

"this way" tsireya exclaimed, tuk stopping when one of the metikayina people rose up from the water on an water ikran? a water ikran? that's dope! i thought stopping for a second to get a closer look at them.

neteyam turning to me, smiling. "(y/n), keep up come on!" i turned to the vice quickly, apologizing softly.

"just up here" the girl said turning her head to us quickly, a metikayina kid about to follow us but their mother stopped them. i laughed to myself being the only one noticing the action.

"this is for you, your home." tsireya said showing us a pod. mr.jake went inside looking around.

"yeah this'll work," he said briefly. "this is great! this is nice right?" he said turning to us. i shrugged looking away.

ms.neytiri dropped the item she was holding and let out a big sigh.

yeah, it'll take a while to get use to i thought while looking around.

timeskip

"hey sullys, fall in!" jake said as he crouched down. lo'ak and (y/n) following behind neteyam.

"family meeting remember?" neteyam said while grabbing lo'ak and (y/n)'s wrist to pull them down.

"come on take it in, let's go" jake said sternly.

"kiri" neytiri said softly while looking at her. kiri only wrapped the blanket around her tighter.

"what?" she said a little bit annoyed.

"okay uh.. i need you kids to be on your best behavior," jake said, "i mean it." he continued.

"learn fast, pull your weight. don't cause trouble, got it?" jake said while looking directly at lo'ak and (y/n).

"yes sir" they said in union, nodding shortly after.

"i want to go home!" tuk said with tears brimming her eyes. jake turned his head to face hers.

"oh tuk" neytiri feeling sad for her daughter, imagine having to experience this at such a young age?

"tuk, this is our home now." jake said now holding turk's hand in his. "we're gonna get through this.. we're gonna get though this, we have each others backs. right?" he said looking around.

"what does your father always say?" neytiri said.

"sully's stick together" neteyam said, being the only one who said it. he looked at (y/n) and lo'ak and shook his head.

"yeah that's right, sully's stick together. this time with some feeling!" jake said.

"sullys stick together" everyone repeated with some 'feeling' like jake asked.

timeskip again 😝

"come on!" neteyam said motioning to (y/n) and lo'ak. the three sully boys cannoned ball into the water, creating a big splash.

tuk and kiri screaming while jumping in as well. (her little scream is so adorable)

pov switch

what i saw in the water was beyond beautiful, it was so colorful. so many fish!

i looked over to neteyam and lo'ak and saw their expression the same as mine.

as we started to swim, tsireya and the boys from way before motioned us to follow them deeper. we did, well we tried. after a minute or so we hurried and swam up to get a fresh breath of air.

as we rose, we all made funny breathing sounds.

"bros, that was awesome!" i said while taking breathes after each word. i dipped my face underwater while lo'ak and neteyam did the same, seeing as tsireya and the other two looked up at us confused.

she signed something that neither of us could understand, i looked to them and they looked as confused as i was.

neteyam made a gesture with his hands to signal them that we had no idea what they were saying, she then just motioned us to follow her.

we all took a big breath and swam to where they were. as we got there, we were already getting out of air. i hurried and started to swim up, eyes following me. neteyam trying to tell them that they had to go back up again.

they then swam up, tsireya looking at us with concern in her eyes.

"are you alright?" she asked, looking at each on of us.

"you're too fast! wait for us" tuk said while rubbing some water out her eye. tsireya smiled.

"just breath, breath" she said motioning to breath. ao'nung then came up from the water.

"you are not good divers, maybe at swinging through trees-" he said before he was smacked in the head by tsireya

i thought to myself

i then was the one to speak up, "come on bro, we do not speak this finger thing you guys do." i said motioning my hand to move in a weird way.

"we don't know what you are saying." neteyam said after.

"i will teach you." tsireya said shortly after.

"where is kiri?" rotxo said, we looked at him. seeing as there is in fact no kiri.

"kiri?" tuk said softly.

"who?" ao'nung said, not bothered to remember her name.

"kiri, where is kiri?" rotxo said. hmm, oddly suspicious man i thought.

"it's okay, i'll quickly find her" tsireya said going underwater. as we waited, i just pointed to different looking fishes with lo'ak and neteyam.

rotxo and ao'nung doing there own thing, i lifted my head from out the water and saw ao'nung staring at me.

i turned my head towards him, and before i can ask what he was looking at he quickly averted his stare. almost as if he was embarrassed to be caught,

i shrugged and saw that tsireya appeared which felt like hours when it was onlyb5 minutes.   

"kiri is okay, she seems like she connected with the water quickly." tsireya said looking at the three of us.

as we swam to shallower water, ao'nung did a little call which seemed to attract what looked like water ikran.. well sorta.

he then turned his body to face us, "these are ilu. if you want to live here, you have to ride." he said directly at us.

pretty short chapter and sorry for the late update, next chapter will be longer.

ao'nung seems to be staring at (y/n) a lot more 👀👀 HMMMM
