"See aren't you glad you came along?" Bachira smirked at you.

Sitting on the swing, you licked your ice cream that had been paid for you by none other that Bachira Meguru.

"sure, sure." Of course you would never admit to him that you were truly thankful for the delicious ice cream on a hot school evening. Especially not when you were quite literally dragged by the arm.

The two of you sat in silence, you were thinking of what to say when Bachira broke the silence.

"Chigiri said you're cute."

huh.
what did he say about me?

"Really? You're not playing with me, are you?" A part of you was in disbelief at Chigiri's words, if anything, you would've though that he was cute!

"Nope, we talked about you after I made the shot." He turned to you, giving you a little wink.

Oh.

Looking down at the ice cream in your hands, you didn't know what to think. I mean you thought he was pretty, but to hear someone compliment you was weird. Weird in a way that it made you feel incredibly flustered.

But sure enough, a small smile was visible on your face, and a light blush too.

"So? Will you do it?!"

Ah right, you almost forgot about the offer Reo gave you. Well not almost, you did forget.

"i'm still thinking about it." You deadpanned, at the overly optimistic boy.

"Please?? How much do you want? I can pay you by per hour or per shoot... or, or both!" Reo Mikage was now half on the table, his upper body leaning across towards you with stars in his eyes.

Shaking your head you gave him an apologetic look, sure the money was attractive but you had your doubts here and there.

After a while more of his relentless pleadings, he finally left for his class. Brushing your thoughts aside you decided to listen in on whatever the people in front of you were huddled together discussing about.

"I heard he got suspended for a week"

"just a week? that's barely enough!"

"i'm surprised he hadn't gotten expelled yet."

"um excuse me, who are you talking about?" You tapped on one of their shoulders, now intrigued by them.

"There's this guy called barou shouei who's apparently been going around picking fights with the higher levels. Heard he beat one up so badly they got sent to the hospital."

barou shouei? i'm sure i've heard his name being brought up in multiple conversations before.

"If you ever see a muscular guy with pineapple hair, run." One of the girls warned you, making a gesture for his 'pineapple' hair.

Looking in the mirror, you lifted the end of the dress, doing a spin to get a good look.

"mm yeah, no." You muttered as Anri was quick to shove another dress in your hands.

She had asked you to go shopping with her earlier today. And when she said that, you thought it was you judging her outfits, not you being dressed up.

"give me a spin!" Clasping her hands together, Anri once again made you try on another dress.

After what felt like forever (which in reality was less than an hour) the two of you finally left the shop to find something to eat. Anri had insisted on buying you the two dresses that you thought looked half decent on you.

"I could've paid for them myself you know?" An amused smile on your lips.

You stared at your unusually happy best friend— well not that she isn't usually happy. There's just something more cheerful about her today that you couldn't understand.

You sat down opposite Anri, both of you choosing to eat some chinese food.

"just so you know, i'm paying for this one." Anri took the bill from the waiter, before you could even react.

"what, no! i'm supposed to pay!" you frowned, puffing your cheeks out and folding your arms across your chest to show your disdain.

Turning away from your friend you ignored her as she tried to gain your attention.

"Y/nnn don't ignore me!!"

Not giving into her, you only let a 'hmph' to let her know you weren't completely ignoring her.

"you're so cute when you make that face."

Caught off guard, you gave in and looked in her direction, eyes widening a little.

"what?"

"Nothing! Nothing at all!"
