Jamming in the keys to your new dorm, you not-so-gently closed the door behind you with a slam, making your way to one of the two beds. Obviously you took the one furthest from the bathroom. I mean, who would want to sleep near a stinky old toilet?

You were quick to unpack and 'decorate' your side of the dorm so that if your roommate wanted to switch sides they would have a hard time moving everything.

The familiar buzzing of your phone rang from your bed, the new schedule had just been released. The further you scrolled, the deeper your heart sank.

Resisting the urge to throw your phone across the room and scream in protest, you rolled around in your bed, trying to get used to the new environment (the hard bed).

*CLICK*

Bringing your head up, you stared expectantly at the door.

No way. No fucking way.

If it wasn't for what little self control you had left, you would have gagged at the sight of your new roommate. Letting out a scoff you pocketed your phone and put on a jacket before walking out the door, swiftly avoiding any form of contact with your roommate.

"You will never believe who I'm paired with."Deadpanning, you lay your head on the clean table in misery, the ice cream in your hand slowly melting at the warm air.

"Rin?" Anri looked up from her phone.

Raising a brow at her, you nodded your head. "how'd you know?"

"I just checked the new pairings..." For some reason her voice suddenly turned dreadful towards the end.

Inching closer to her, you stared down at her phone only to burst out in laughter a second later. Despite her desperate attempts to keep you quiet, your laughter seemed to have attracted some attention as people were giving you weird judgemental looks.

"heheh Ego..." You wiped an imaginary tear from the corner of your eye. "I can't believe you're stuck with him, now I feel loads better about getting Rin."

Sulking, Anri only gave you an unamused glare. "yeah yeah you don't have to rub it in."

"What..." You gaped, mind completely blank and devoid of thoughts.

"What?" A slightly annoyed voice asked.

"Why... What-" You gawked at your roommate, words failing your shocked expression.

There was no way you weren't dreaming right now. You were gone for what? An hour? And you come back to all your things being moved to the other side of the room. The side closest to the bathroom which you had purposely avoided.

"You weren't here so I helped myself." Ignoring the murderous gaze you had on him, he flipped through his textbook with an unconcerned look on his face.

Mumbling curse words under your breath, you removed the pile of things that Itoshi had oh-so-carefully thrown onto your new bed without a second thought.

Reorganising your things wasn't the hard part. It was ignoring the stupid blobfish that kept glaring at you from his cave.

Putting both hands on your hips in a sassy manner, you shot him a questioning look.

"If you have something to say just spit it out already!"

"You're making too much noise."

"I'm cleaning the mess you made."

"Clean quieter."

You wanted to jump him, punch his stupid mouth off his stupid face so he can stop being stupid. If you squint enough, there would probably be steam coming out of your ears right now.

A not very wise person once said that 'ignorance is bliss'

Locking the door to the bathroom, you made sure to use all the hot water so that your roommate will be left with nothing. Being the nice person you are, you also made sure to hog the bathroom for as long as humanly possible— which isn't very long because your fingers were starting to prune up.

By the time you decided to get out, the mirror was no longer foggy giving a clear sign of just how long you'd spent in there doing nothing.

Feeling contempt, you opened the door only to be met with the ugliest most putrid sight in all humanity standing right in front of you.

Slipping past Rin fucking Itoshi, you were ready to plop onto your bed and scroll through your phone until you couldn't possibly stay awake any longer and pass out.

But of course, you just had to be disturbed by the knocking of the room door. Swinging your legs off the bed, you trudged over to the door.

"nope, never heard of him." You slammed the door shut.

"ah wait!" Groaning you turned to face Isagi Yoichi who had unfortunately broken into your dorm by sticking his foot in between.

"Are you sure you don't know who he is? I thought the two of you were roommates?" The boy stood near the door awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck holding up his phone which inconveniently showed the dorm arrangements.

"mhm, no idea." Lying back down you ignored the uncomfortable tension in between the two of you.

Isagi stood near the door, awkwardly playing around with his jacket while you couldn't be bothered and continued scrolling on your phone.

The door to the bathroom unlocked and lo and behold, your lie got exposed real quick. Isagi was quick to shoot you a questioning look before turning his attention back to Rin.

And finally, after what seemed like forever (it was just 2 minutes) they left to go discuss some football stuff that you didn't pay any mind to.

The thought of shifting your things back occured to you but it quickly vanished when you realised that it would probably backfire and the two of you would end up going in circles, neither being able to enjoy the school year.
