Tour Guide Stark

Peter really liked unofficially working at Stark Industries. His mom and dad were more than willing to give him small jobs to do for the company, but ever since Peter had asked, they'd been letting him lead tours to the various people or groups that showed up. If he was honest, it was his favourite part of the day when he was allowed to give tours to new employees, interns, middle schoolers, high schoolers, or interested college kids. The only condition his parents had was that no one discovered Peter was their son.

"Peter?" Pepper called, hanging up her phone. "There's a group downstairs that wants a tour."

Peter looked up from his homework then back down at it as if having an internal struggle.

"You can finish that later if you want."

Grinning, Peter jumped to his feet and hopped in the lift. After a quick ride down to the lobby and once he had grabbed a fake badge (it said Peter Parker instead of Peter Stark), he turned the corner into the lobby to collect his group.

His heart dropped and he stopped in his tracks when he recognised the six kids and teacher from Midtown Tech. Worst of all, standing amongst the group were Flash, Michelle, and Abraham. The other three kids he didn't know.

Seconds after Peter had seen him, Flash looked up and spotted Peter.

"What are you doing here?" he sneered, "Are you really trying to get in to prove your fake internship here?"

"He's the one in," Michelle said drily, winking at Peter when Flash wasn't looking. She already knew Peter's secret. Both of them, actually. "Can you not be a jerk for once and just let us enjoy a club trip?"

Club? What club was this?

"Um, yeah, I'm your tour guide," Peter said awkwardly, holding out a tray of guest badges. "You'll need these. Happy gets upset if you don't wear one."

Flash glared at Peter as he took out a badge and clipped it on.

"How were you able to pull this trick?" he hissed, following Peter through the security gate and into a lift.

"I have an internship here," Peter repeated, sharing another look with Michelle.

For the full duration of the whole tour, he could feel Flash's eyes on him. At best as Peter could, he ignored Flash as he took the group to some of the labs, the cafeteria, and then back down to the lobby where they finished.

"Thanks for the tour, Peter," Abraham said, returning his badge to the basket with a smile.

Once he'd collected all the badges and waved goodbye to his classmates, he turned to give the basket to the receptionist. Confused, he was met first by the sight of Flash instead of the usual receptionist.

"I don't know how you did it, but I know you don't actually know Tony Stark," Flash sneered as he shook out his hand. "You may work here for real, but Tony Stark would never hire you as a personal intern."

Even though Peter saw it before it happened, Flash slammed his fist into Peter's jaw. Peter yelled out in pain as his jaw snapped and he brought a hand up to touch it gingerly.

Across the lobby, Peter heard his mother call his name and come racing through the security gate. She rushed over to Peter who tried to assure her he was alright without drawing her attention to Flash who was still in front of him. Unfortunately, it was not Flash's lucky day because once Pepper was certain Peter was fine, she rounded on Flash.

"How dare you come in and assault our workers!"

"Why do you even care?" Flash exclaimed, gesturing to Peter. "He's an intern!"

Pepper fumed.

"You just punched my son and if it weren't illegal for me to hit minors, I'd do it," she threatened.

Peter's eyes widened as Flash blurted, "I'm not a minor! I'm 19!"

"Oh," Pepper said, straightening up. "Perfect."

Without further warning, she leaned forward and punched Flash so hard he fell over. The few employees that remained nearby glanced to see what had happened only to immediately turn back to their own work. Standing beside his mother, Peter looked warily down at Flash.

"What the hell? You can't hit me!" Flash exclaimed, climbing to his feet and cupping his chin. "I'm a kid!"

"You're 19," Pepper reminded him, folding her hands in front of her. "Now get out of here before I punch you again."

Flash was gone in a blink and as the door was still closing, Pepper turned back to face Peter.

The first thing to come to Peter's mind was, "You told him I was your son."

Pepper gave him a look and he got defensive.

"What?" Peter exclaimed. He gestured out the doors that Flash had just left through and said, "I figured you should know you just told a teenager you had a son and it happened to be me."

"I'm glad that punch didn't kill your sass," Pepper said instead of responded.

Peter grinned then grimaced, cupping his jaw again.

"Come on. Let's go find you some ice."

"Where's Uncle Steve when you need him?" Peter joked only to receive a sharp look from his mother. "Sorry."

"Yeah you are," she said despite both of them knowing that he wasn't.

When they arrived in the penthouse though, it quickly became clear that FRIDAY had sent Tony the footage of Pepper right hooking Flash and the following conversation. As Peter got a high five for his comment on Steve, Pepper grounded them both.
