Sorry, Bullying at Stark Industries is Illegal

Peter wasn't sure if he was lucky or not to have spent the night at the Tower. Usually, May said no to sleepovers with Tony on weekdays, but Peter and Tony had both came to the front door of Peter's apartment and begged. May was impressed that Peter had gotten Tony to literally beg, so she had allowed it under the one condition that he be on time for his school field trip the following morning.

Tony and Peter spent the night in the lab working and watching TV until Pepper told FRIDAY to kill the connection. After that, they had gone to bed and woken up to bacon and eggs sitting on the kitchen counter beside a note from Pepper reminding Tony to get Peter to school on time.

"I wish they would just let me show up on my own," Peter said, buckling his seat belt as Tony shot out of the garage. "I'm just coming back in an hour. I could have slept in."

"That would have upset your ridiculous sleep schedule," Tony teased, giving Peter a look as he rolled his eyes. "You have your permission slip and lunch?"

Peter patted his pocket where his Stark phone (a birthday gift from Tony) and permission slip were.

"Wait, I don't have a lunch," Peter said, looking in the backseat just in case one had appeared there.

Tony sighed. They were already too far from the Tower to turn around and grab something and the restaurants they passed were all too far off the freeway.

"I'll bring something down when you stop your tour for lunch," Tony promised. While he would have just given Peter money for the cafeteria, he wasn't sure the cafeteria was where they'd be eating. His class might eat outside on the lawn. "Text me where you stop for lunch and I'll bring you a sandwich or something."

Peter nodded. Despite choosing not to tell Tony about Flash, he had spent a decent amount of time making Tony promise not to give him any extra attention. With the excuse that other kids would get jealous and ask questions, Tony had promised to leave him alone all day until the end when he was required to do a Q&A with the kids. Just to be safe, Peter had given Tony strict instructions not to talk about, talk to, or even look at him under any circumstance.

As they pulled into the school parking lot, Tony asked, "You're all set?"

Peter nodded and once Tony parked the car, he opened his door.

"Text me when you get back to the Tower. Don't roll your eyes at me! I just want to know when to hide and when to deactivate FRIDAY to acknowledge your presence."

"Alright," Peter agreed, stepping out of the car. "Bye!"

The door slammed shut and Peter bounded off towards the school bus, handing the permission slip to his teacher then climbing on board. Once Peter was safe and inside, Tony pulled out of the parking lot and returned to the Tower.

* * * * *

Peter followed the group of students around the Tower. A lot of the floors he hadn't actually been on before, so he allowed himself to look around and enjoy the tour. Of course, most of his classmates found the labs to be the most interesting, but Peter found them one of the more boring parts of the tour. Compared to Tony's lab, the SI labs were lacking. Heck, Peter's personal lab was more high tech than this one.

"Hey, Penis!" Flash called from across the room, "Is this too lame for you?"

Peter sighed from where he stood beside Ned.

"I bet you're gonna say you've been to Tony Stark's personal lab so this is way below you."

Ned and Peter shared a look that didn't go unnoticed by Flash.

"Leave me alone, Flash," Peter said, glancing briefly up at the security camera that he knew FRIDAY was watching from.

If he had any semblance of luck, FRIDAY wouldn't alert Tony to his bully's behaviour. If not, Peter doubted Tony would come running in 0.3 seconds flat and he wasn't particularly thrilled by that thought.

"Alright everyone, we're gonna go eat lunch now," Mr. Heinz announced, ignoring the way a few kids whined.

The tour guide led them downstairs and outside where they were told they'd have an hour for lunch. As the class found their seats, Peter texted Tony and told him they were having lunch outside before joining Ned and Michelle under a tree.

"Did you forget your lunch?" Ned asked, pulling out his sandwich.

Peter nodded but before Ned could offer him part of his sandwich, he told him that Tony was bringing something down for him.

"Tony Stark made you lunch!" Ned gasped, nearly dropping his sandwich.

Peter rolled his eyes with a smile as his phone buzzed, telling him Tony was headed to the lobby and he'd better be there to get his food.

"I'll be right back," Peter said, getting up to tell Mr. Heinz he was going to the bathroom.

Peter rushed inside just in time for Tony to exit the lift.

"Hey, kid," Tony greeted, handing him three sandwiches. Behind him, Pepper held a bag of cookies.

"These cookies are for you to share," she said, handing them to Peter.

"Thanks, Pepper!" Peter grinned, taking the sandwiches and the cookies excitedly.

"Are you having fun?" she asked. Peter nodded eagerly. "Good. You're coming up to talk to me next."

"Awesome," Peter said, already imagining how MJ would react.

When Tony asked him how he liked the labs next, he rolled his eyes. "Boring."

Tony chuckled and gave him a quick hug. Pepper followed suit, pressing a kiss to his head and making Peter's face turn red.

"Better get back out there, Underoos," Tony smirked.

Peter nodded and waved goodbye before racing back out to his friends.

Just as Pepper had instructed, he gave them each a cookie then ate his sandwich. By the time he had finished his third sandwich, he was full and it was time to go back inside and meet Pepper in the conference room upstairs.

Pepper was waiting for them when they arrived and greeted them all warmly. With wide eyes and whispering amongst themselves, the group found their seats around the room and quickly settled in.

"Hello, everyone," Pepper greeted, waiting for the last few to find their seats.

Once everyone was settled and quiet, she briefly explained they could ask her questions for an hour and then Tony Stark would come out. Not to Peter's surprise, most questions were about her and Tony's relationship, but she also got some about how she had become CEO. Beside him, Michelle grumbled whenever a question she considered sexist came up and wouldn't stop until Peter or Ned asked something else.

"Everyone is so sexist," Michelle muttered after Pepper left and Tony appeared.

While Tony received much louder applause, Michelle slumped in her seat and didn't even pretend to care. She had a point to make and goddammit if she participated in fanning the flames of the patriarchy. To Peter's credit, he didn't laugh.

"Okay, I guess I have to answer questions," Tony said, giving Pepper an unsure look. She nodded and he turned back to the students with a grin. "Beware though, I won't answer them if I don't like them."

A couple of kids laughed but Peter rolled his eyes.

Unlike with Pepper, the questions Tony were asked were more technical. Opposite to what Peter, Ned, and Michelle had done before, they offered up questions regarding Tony's favourite shoe store and how he kept his hair styled. After the fourth such question, Tony gave Peter and look and stopped calling on them.

Snickering together, the three hardly noticed when Flash was called on until he'd already spoken.

"One of the kids in my class has an internship here," he said, crossing his arms.

Peter's head snapped up from his phone and Michelle and Ned went still beside him.

"Impossible," Tony dismissed with a wave of his hand. "I don't have high school interns."

Peter paled and Flash turned around in his seat to grin at him.

"I knew you were a liar, Penis," Flash hissed before turning back to Tony. "Penis Parker says he works for you. What do you have to say to liars?"

Tony just blinked. That kid had not just insulted his kid, had he?

"I'm sorry, what?" Tony asked.

From the corner of the room, Pepper looked at Peter worriedly. There was little doubt in either of their minds that Tony would let it go.

Confirming their concerns, Tony said, "You did not just call my kid Penis."

"He's not your kid, though," Flash said, glancing back at Peter who was trying to hide from Tony's eyesight. "He's just a lying nerd."

"Peter is my kid and he's the best kid I know," Tony told Flash, narrowing his eyes.

"That's... That's a funny joke," Flash said, laughing nervously. When he glanced around the room, he noticed Tony wasn't the only one giving him a dark look. "How did Peter set you up to that?"

"Peter didn't set me up to anything," Tony told him sharply.

Peter was nearly under his chair now, trying to avoid all the stares he was getting as well as both Pepper and Tony's gaze.

"In fact, he didn't even want me to show up and talk to him today and now I know why."

God, why couldn't Peter disappear at will? That would be so much more useful than climbing walls.

"That's my kid you're bullying," Tony warned, pointing a finger at where Peter was desperately trying to hide, "So, of course, I found out even without him telling me. I know the signs of someone being bullied and Peter has been showing them since I met him which tells me the bullying isn't a new thing, am I right?"

"Yes," Flash said weakly, sinking down in his seat much like Peter.

"If you ever talk to my kid again or even look at him, you will find no respected company wants to hire you," Tony threatened, "You will never get a job at Stark and I will make sure anyone I have even the slightest contact with will refuse to hire you, understand?"

"Yes, sir," Flash whimpered, sliding further yet down his seat.

Taking a deep breath, Tony sharply announced, "Q&A is over. Get back on your bus."

Without the slightest hesitation, Mr. Heinz quickly led the kids out of the room and Peter was left hiding under a chair with Tony and Pepper looking at him.

"So, pizza?" Peter asked nervously, not getting out from under his chair.

"Yeah," Tony agreed with a sigh.

Peter grinned and climbed out from under his chair, but Tony wasn't finished.

"Pizza and a long talk."
