**I suck at wedding chapters, so I apologize ahead of time for how bad it is. Not my strongest writing, I know**

Ohmigosh! I'm just so nervous right now because this is the moment I've been waiting for. Today is the day I'm going to marry my true love and best friend, Emu Hojo.

It's just amazing how we got to this point. I was a stranger from another world to him at first. I appeared during a fight and then got taken in by him and the others to shield me from their enemies. I then got into a relationship with his virus and made up some stupid, yet somehow believable backstory. Of course, it was a huge lie that I'm surprised anyone forgave me over. After breaking up with Parad, somehow Emu wanted more than anything or anyone else in the world. I truly don't deserve such a pure man.

"You look so pretty," Jennie comments, snapping me out of my own mind.

I turn to her, turning away from the mirror in front of me. "Thank you."

I certainly do look lovely today. I'm sure that is because I'm glowing from pure bliss. I am marrying the love of my life. Of course I'm going to look so pretty for him. I want to look pretty for him. Emu deserves nothing but the best.

"Elkie, I'm so proud of you," Jennie says, moving towards me with her arms out. "I can't believe that you're going to be marrying someone so wonderful."

Jennie is so for me to marry Emu. Of course, she's right in that. Emu is the one for me. He's perfect for me and I can't believe I didn't see that at first. I was so stupid and dated Parad before giving a chance to the right man. Cliche, right?

"Jennie..." She's going to crush me and kill me before I get married.

She puts her arms around me, hugging me tightly. "Don't forget me when you get married."

I return her embrace, hugging her pretty little body that is covered in a yellow dress. "I won't. I promise you that."

"Walter is here somewhere. He is probably crying in the bathroom due to you getting married. He is still in disbelief." She pulls back from me a bit, grinning. "Like my yellow dress? It's so cute and sparkly, which doesn't violate the bride wearing white only thing."

"I know I wanted you all to wear something else entirely, but I am glad I changed my mind last moment to let you all pick something of your choice." I want their personalities to shine through and this wedding isn't all about me. It is about bonds that we're making with each other. "I want you all to shine with me."

"You shouldn't though. This day is for you and Emu." She shakes her head, looking like she's holding back some laughter. "Elkie, you're too kind. You made the right choice in guy. He really does suit you."

I nod. "I agree. He really does."

Emu is everything one wants in their partner. He's super kind and puts his partner above himself. He goes out of his way to do what he can and makes sure that everyone is happy before he's allowed to even smile. That's why I love him so much. He is always putting everyone else first.

"When you left, Elkie, I thought that would be the last time we would see each other," Jennie says, bringing up when I gave up my happiness for everyone else to be happy. "You saved the world despite you not owing it to anyone."

"It isn't right for me to take this world from anyone. The people here are real." Even though they started as fiction, they're real. "I could never be happy sacrificing the happiness of the many just for my own."

I wanted to pick my own happiness deep down inside me. I mean, who wants to sacrifice their true love for a life of being single and lonely? It wasn't a simple situation either, but I did the right thing. I didn't even question it in the moment. At least, I don't think that I did.

Knock!

"Hey, it's everyone favorite bike!" There's the person who started this problem.

As much trouble as he is, Kiriya has been lovely to have around. He's always up to no good, but that is what he is needed for. That is his calling in life anyways.

"Come on in." I remove myself from Jennie as my eyes go to the door.

"I also brought someone with me. It is your brother," Kiriya tells me.

"We're not related," Hiiro's voice comments.

"But yet you still act like her brother and call her your sister most of the time," Kiriya responds. "Don't be shy and get in there with me. Don't make me force you inside!"

"Why were you even invited in the first place? All you do is cause trouble," Hiiro says, sounding annoyed.

The door opens finally, revealing the two boys, and they enter the room. Hiiro shuts the door behind himself and he looks at me, eyes looking every inch of me. He must really be proud of me if he is going to come here and talk to me before the wedding while dealing with Kiriya being glued to his side.

"Looking beautiful!" Kiriya exclaims. "Emu is going to love you. He hasn't seen you in a hot minute, right?"

I nod. "That's correct. Emu hasn't seen me in quite sometime due to all the stuff going on. I heard you all had fun going out of town for a few hours. I hope you all didn't get yourselves into any trouble."

I have no clue what went on during the little bachelor's party they had, but it must have been good since Parad showed up wasted. I'm amazed he was able to even get wasted like that, but I shouldn't be too surprised. He gamed and then went to bed after telling me they did nothing bad. Not like I would be mad if someone hired strippers because Emu's loyal and won't even waste time looking at them.

"What did you do with the girls?" Hiiro asks me, changing the subject quickly to be about me.

"That's a secret," Jennie responds, answering for me. "We are bound by code to not speak of it to you boys."

"Right!" I nod, grinning. "But I will say, we did a lot of singing."

The entire night was a good one. Poppy planned out a majority of our outing and it was filled with a few drinks, some dancing, and plenty of singing. I sang a lot of boy group songs and I butchered a bunch of Japanese and Korean songs while I had my turn of singing. We had some special visitors during it, but nothing bad. Just an old Bugster friend.

"Kuroto got really wasted," Kiriya comments. "He is a beast when it comes to partying surprisingly."

"And me?" Hiiro looks over at Kiriya.

"Yeah, you're not much of a party boy until you're absolutely trashed," Kiriya tells him, laughing. "You were so stone cold the majority of the night. Really, he was stiff."

"Well, he's always like that," I say, laughing a little. "Umm...can I have a few moments alone with him?"

"Sure." Jennie moves over to Kiriya's side. "Hey, want to hear about what Taiga has been up to lately?"

"I guess I have nothing better to do than to hear about that. So, sure." Kiriya is so easy to get rid of sometimes. Then again, it is a serious moment and he isn't just going to stick around if he isn't needed by me.

They link arms and head off to the door, leaving together. I look at Hiiro as he stares at me with his cold eyes, hardly any emotion showing in them. I wonder what he's thinking of right now. I asked for him to be alone with me, so he probably thinks it is something serious.

"Elkie," he says, moving towards me.

"Yes?" I raise an eyebrow.

He looks away, swallowing a bit as his eyes change to look a bit more watery. "Elkie..." Is he about to cry?

He puts his arms around me, pulling me into his chest, and I put mine around him without thinking.

"Elkie, I can't believe that you're going to be fully on your own with him soon. That Intern better take good care of you," Hiiro says, his voice shaking. Yeah, he's definitely about to start balling his eyes out.

Hiiro sniffles as he starts crying, holding onto me tightly as he keeps his head off me. He is really working hard not to ruin my look. I'm glad he's being considerate despite crying the way he is right now.

"Hiiro, you're going to have to let me go so I can get married today. I am so thankful for you being here for me. You're the greatest brother in the world. Despite not being related to you, I see you as my brother and that will never change."

"I know, Elk. If you need...if you need anything..." He pulls back, staring at me with his messy face. "Let me know, okay?"

"I will." I smile. "Hiiro, don't cry any longer. You're going to make me cry." I can feel it coming if he don't stop what he's doing.

Hiiro nods his head, lowering his head a bit as his lips twist upwards into a small smile. "Right. You're not allowed to cry yet, huh?"

"Nope."

He moves back from me and pulls out a handkerchief. "Emu won't like it if you end up a mess because of me."

"We definitely don't need both of us being an emotional wreck. I'm already struggling to keep it all in anyways."

He wipes off his wet face, laughing a bit. "I'm pathetic."

"No, you're anything but pathetic. You did what you could for your friends over having your true love back," I tell him. "And guess what? You got it all now. You were rewarded for being such a good person."

"Yeah, you're right. I did get rewarded after doing the right thing. It took time, but I did end up getting rewarded for it." He nods, removing the handkerchief from his face. "Elkie, thank you so much for reminding me how good the world is. Despite the mischief you caused, you actually ended up being the greatest friend a person could ever have."

"Oh, Hiiro..." He is making me feel so nostalgic.

Knock-knock!

"Who is it?" Hiiro asks, heading turning towards the door.

"It's me!" Parad's voice calls out, answering the question. "Is it too late to speak to the bride?"

"No, um...come in," Hiiro says.

"Yeah, come on in. Just don't do anything bad in here." I do not need to cancel my wedding last second.

Even if he were to ruin my dress again, I wouldn't dare cancel marrying Emu today. If I have to wear a trash bag to get down the aisle, I'll do it just to marry him. Nothing is keeping me from marrying the love of my life and enjoying a refreshing night together later.

"I promise I won't," Parad assures me, promising not to ruin anything like he typically does.

"I will let him in." Hiiro opens the door for Parad, allowing him into the room. "Come in."

Parad steps into the room, a grin on his handsome face, and stops a bit in front of me. "Hey, you look so pretty," he says, complimenting me.

"Thanks." I smile.

"I'm going to head out," Hiiro announces. "I want you two to have a few moments alone. I will stay near the door, so let me know if you need anything."

"Hey, were you crying?" Parad asks, turning to Hiiro. "I just noticed, you were holding a handkerchief."

"Shut it, Bugster," Hiiro orders, pretending like he wasn't just being all emotional just a few moments ago. "I'm going to go now. Goodbye."

Hiiro exits, leaving me with the person who ruined my dress, and Parad turns back to me. He looks like he's going to cry too. I can just tell that he wants to because his eyes don't have that mischievous sparkle in them at the moment.

"Hey, aren't you glad it isn't us?" Parad asks.

"I still love you dearly, Parad. It is just...we're not meant to be." And never will be. "You're happy too, aren't you?"

"I am." He nods. "But there's a part of me that wonders what could have been sometimes. You know, like how games have alternative endings?" Ah, there's the side of him that loves gaming so much!

"I wonder that too sometimes, but I stop myself. It does no good to wonder about something that is already done. We're with the right partners for us." Emu has always been meant for me and Sakura is meant to be with him.

"No, I don't mean regretting things. Just pure curiosity at what could have happened instead. I even wonder what would have happened if Masamune won."

"And the world ended?"

He nods. "Yeah, that too."

"Well, I believe Kiriya would have ascended to Godhood and ruled over as a bike," I say, laughing.

He laughs. "Yeah, sure." He rolls his eyes.

"I think there is another world where I made the wrong choice in partner and we're out there dominating as a duo. We're a good team, but not in the romantic way. So, I can only imagine how that world is doing with us at the helm."

"Not so hot, I'm sure." He looks down.

"Parad, I am not trying to say anything bad about our time together. It wasn't healthy for either one of us. I was deceiving you the entire time. You deserved better and now you have that. If that's going on in another world, I hope it stops. For your sake, I hope it hasn't happened in another world."

He looks back up at me, eyes teary. "I know what you mean, Elkie. I think that you're right that we shouldn't have ever been together."

"Yeah, of course I am." I nod. "We're not meant for each other at all. There is no reason for us to be a match."

"I agree. It is just...I don't know. Maybe it is because I feel like I should have said more during the break up."

"You should have called me out. I clearly was a liar."

He looks away, chuckling lightly. "A really good liar."

"No, I was bad," I respond, laughing a little. "You just didn't see it."

"Well...um..." He clears his throat and looks back at me, looking absolutely soft. "How about you get going out there? You have a man that loves you waiting out there, hoping to catch a glimpse of your beauty."

I roll my eyes and smack him gently on the arm. "Parad, stop!"

"I'll see you out there. Thank you, Elkie."

"For what?"

"Being so brutally honest with me about things. It isn't like I want to be with you. It is just...you know?"

"Regret. You regret how we all handled things. Try harder to not regret the past because you can't change it. You can only move forward from it."

"Yeah," he says. "No regrets moving forward."

As we all should.

~.~

I stop at the end of the aisle and turn to Hiiro's father, who agreed to walk me down it so no one else had to do so and cry.

"Thank you, Mr. Kagami," I say, smiling softly. "I wish my parents could walk me down the aisle, but here we are. You're doing it."

He smiles softly, looking quite emotional about this moment. "You're like a daughter to me and a sister to Hiiro. Of course I would want to lead you to the man of your dreams. That's what a father is for, right?"

"You're a great dad. I'm honored to be seen as a daughter by you."

He is the reason things went well for me here. He's given me everything I have ever really needed. I was allowed to stay in the CR and he kept me a secret from a ton of people who should have been told about me. After all, I'm not from this world.

"Elkie, thank you." He looks away as his face crumbles, turning into an emotional sobbing mess.

"Aw..." I feel so much for him right now.

It must be difficult to hand over someone so precious to you. I didn't know how precious I was to him until this entire process came. I did have someone else in mind to walk me down, but it ended up in his hands. I'm thankful it ended up like this though. It beats having Kiriya trying to get me down it as a bike.

"Go." He looks over at Emu. "Take good care of her."

I turn to Emu, staring at him as he stares at Mr. Kagami, and he smiles. He nods his head, agreeing to take care of me, and places a hand on his shoulder. He pats it gently and his eyes go to me.

Emu looks absolutely dashing in a tuxedo. Of course, the tie suits him and his unique style. With how he dresses, one would definitely think he's no doctor. He's lucky the hospital is so relaxed in this world. In mine, he couldn't show much individuality.

His eyes look me over as a smile grows on his face. "You look so beautiful right now," he comments.

"You should have seen this one coming. I couldn't look ugly on our big day," I respond. I wouldn't dare look awful on my wedding day to Emu.

Emu shakes his head a little, chuckling. "You're never ugly. You're always perfect to me."

"Aw..." He's making my heart melt.

Well, it's time to get on with this wedding!

~.~

I take a deep breath as my heart pounds.

We've been standing through this ceremony, which seems never ending. Of course, that is a good thing. I want it to feel like eternity. Honestly, that is how long I want our relationship to last. Even when we die, I want to still be all his. And that is what this moment is for and why I'm so nervous right now.

"Take your time," Emu tells me. "You don't have to push yourself to say it too quickly. It's an emotional moment for the both of us."

He has that right. "I got this," I tell him.

"Okay then."

"Here I go..." I take a deep breath.

"You got this." He grins.

"Emu, I vow to always be faithful to you. I won't ever look at someone like how I look at you. Also, I will always be at your side. No matter what, we're the perfect team," I say, telling him my vows. "I wrote an entire thing down in a notebook at home, but I totally forgot what I put in it the moment I came up here to marry you."

Everyone laughs.

"Everyone is laughing because this is super relatable. We've all forgotten something, huh? I shouldn't have forgotten what I put since this is a very important day to me, but crap happens." I smile as my heart keeps going hard. "But that isn't the point. The point is I want to be yours for the rest of our time here on Earth and beyond that. Emu, I love you so much."

"Well, that beats my vows," Emu comments, looking down as he laughs. "Am I allowed to say mine now?"

"You can." The Priest even approves.

Emu looks back up at me. "Elkie, I feel that exact same way. I will always root for you as you go through life at my side. I will also be there for you no matter what to offer my support. I want to grow old with you, grow up to be a better man, and grow with our future children. I will always be yours. I promise you that."

My eyes are literally burning right now because he's so sweet. "Emu..."

"And that isn't all. We're always going to be a team, Elkie. We're the perfect duo."

Take that Parad. "Aw..."

"And with that, I guess we should exchange our rings," Emu says, looking at the Priest for confirmation.

The Priest nods. "Please exchange your rings."

I turn and take my ring from Taiga, who didn't want this task in the first place. He looks away, looking unhappy about his position in the wedding, and I snicker. He'll get over this. He'll always get over this.

I turn to Emu as he holds out his hand towards me. After all, ladies need to go first. I'll put the ring on his finger and then he'll put it on mine.

I grab a hold of his hand and slide the ring on, my hand shaking as my eyes keep burning. He takes mine and slides the ring on, no words needing to be said between us. We know what these rings symbolize. No one needs to say it.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Emu grabs onto my hand and pulls me towards him a bit, his eyes lighting up brightly. I hope I have that look in my eyes too. I wouldn't have this any other way. I am glad that I'm becoming Mrs. Emu Hojo.

He leans in towards me and I close my eyes as our lips meet. I can hear everyone cheering right now and clapping, happy about our union. This is the moment I want to last forever. I'm surrounded by those who love us and support us. Weddings truly are beautiful.

I am happy to be Mrs. Emu Hojo.

A/n: I originally wrote a different note here at the bottom about how I suck at writing wedding chapters (which I do), but I decided to say what's going on in my personal life and where I've been. I know this chapter is long overdue and I meant to have it up sooner, but life has been kind of rough.

In December, I got sick with strep throat. That was a fun experience for sure. After that, the start of the year seemed to be going well. I was wrong that it would be well because in February, I had to put down my dog after he suddenly got really sick. There was no signs or anything that I noticed before it happened to. He was fine the week before, but then he wasn't. I shared him with my twin and we had him for ten wonderful years. It was the hardest thing I've done in my life (deciding what to do with him). I've been struggling a lot after it due to making that choice for him.

After that, I contracted COVID-19 (literally the week after I put my dog down, I got it). It was rough to deal with and I'm feeling a lot better now, but not one hundred percent. Something I noticed after it was a clogged ear and my right wrist now makes a snapping noise and hurts here and there. It has gotten better though, but still a pain to deal with as I can't turn my wrist a certain way sometimes without pain.

I hope to eventually get back to a normal schedule of writing, but work has been brutal with people quitting and retiring. I decided to go ahead and post this chapter so you don't have to wait any longer and I will keep being transparent with you all about what goes on in my life. I am having quite the year, huh?

I hope you all are doing well and thank you for those who were here for me. I know I didn't message any of you, but I didn't want to dump everything on you all. I really do appreciate it though. I just feel bad about that kind of thing.

Thanks again and I will see you all again soon with the final chapter. I'm nearly done writing it and hope to have it done within the next few days to maybe two weeks from now depending on how things go at work. See you soon.
