Jennie comes to a stop in front of us, staring at us with her pretty eyes, and smiles. "How's it going?"

"It is going pretty well. Just hearing these two tell me that things might go to crap soon due to us being here." I am just going to be honest. "I know it isn't exactly our fault things are going to go down the drain, but I'm sure we're speeding up some of it."

"So, you're telling me we're causing the issues?" Jennie looks away, smile dropping. "Do you even know if that is true?"

"I can't prove it, but it is possible," Kuroto answers. "I may have made things worse by bringing Elkie and you here. I'm sorry."

"So, that's it? You apologize to us and we have to figure out how to fix things quickly or else?" Jennie, not helping. He's trying to be nice to us, so be nice back.

"No, I'm just saying that you two are possibly the cause for it. I didn't say you have to fix it in a threatening manner."

I sigh heavily. "This is getting serious isn't it?"

"Our lives are in danger from not doing what we need to get done. I know we're fictional characters and you're not, but that doesn't matter. We're living beings now due to some sort of weird world magic type thing. It literally makes no sense to me no matter how much I try to think about it. I'm intelligent, but not that intelligent." Kuroto is being honest that he's not as smart as he makes himself out to be.

"So, you're admitting to not being a genius, Kuroto?" Jennie asks. She's onto something right now. Maybe Kuroto isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

"I am a superior minded person to you in every single way, just not when it comes to explaining how all of this happened. I guess it is a case of someone's will wanting something so much that it comes true. Just like a cheesy movie storyline."

I nod my head. "Ah, that makes sense." Kind of.

"We can all thank Kiriya for how this all has happened. He's literally the reason behind everything." Jennie really is upset with him despite having the man of her dreams. "He brought us into this world."

"That he did," Kuroto responds. "He just wanted something exciting, I'm sure of it."

"Yeah, something like that," I mutter out. I clear my throat. "So, what are we going to do moving forward? Like what plan do you have for us that is doable right now?"

"I don't know anything but what I've already told you all to follow. Kiriya's words are something you should follow as well." Kuroto looks down. "It isn't easy for us to know what is up, but that is fine. It is the same way in the medical field for the ones you two love. It is unpredictable sometimes."

He's right on that one. Things are unpredictable in the medical field. A random virus can show up and catch everyone off-guard. This Bugster Virus thing going on has. People don't know how to treat it besides using Kamen Riders. We're going to have to keep that in mind. It isn't like we can make a vaccine to keep them away right at this moment in time.

He looks back up. "You two should get to your positions here at the CR. We all have work we need to be doing."

"Yeah, we got that," I say, smiling a little. "Jennie, come on. We're going to find something for ourselves to do."

"Alright. Sure."

And we're off.

~.~

"No, you cannot touch her," Hiiro says, speaking to Parad harshly.

Parad sighs heavily. "But I'm allowed to. I am her good friend you know."

"Good friends don't usually have a threesome and then let the entire world know about it," Hiiro responds, sounding unamused by Parad's antics. I don't blame him for being annoyed with him. He's allowed to be.

"Hey, Parad," Jennie says, greeting the Bugster. "So, you banged my friend? How was it?"

"We're not talking about our private matters in the open. We're working here," Hiiro spits out, obviously wanting to not hear about my sex life. "Elkie is like a sister to me, so I rather not hear about who and what she is banging in the bedroom. Got it? Good. Thanks."

Parad moves to Jennie's side and frowns, his eyes going to Hiiro. "Hiiro, you're just jealous that I can get laid while you can't. Besides, we were safe. You shouldn't worry so much about what will happen to her. She's obviously not infected with the virus like Jennie is at all times."

I look at Jennie and raise an eyebrow. "You and Nico need to let the professionals do their jobs."

Jennie's lips curve upwards. "You should try it sometime. You can lend a helping hand to those professionals and then get a reward."

"Can we not do this while we're here at work?" Hiiro asks, sounding quite demanding. "I want to focus on what we should all be focusing on."

Clank!

I look over as the room shakes, knocking over a glass.

"Get down, now!" Hiiro orders. "Get under the table immediately!"

I drop down and move under the table, closing my eyes tightly as the room keeps shaking. I think Parad can get lost with ease during this. He's a Bugster and can just get away from most natural disasters without any issue.

"Elkie, are you alright?" Parad asks. "It seems that it is starting to slow down. Hey, do you think we'll have an aftershock?" Is he being serious right now with that kind of question?

I open my eyes and turn my head, my eyes meeting with Parad's warm ones. "Possibly," I answer. "I don't know really." These things are hard to predict.

"We haven't had one of those in a bit. I think we should go and consult with Kiriya soon about what he thinks we should do in order to prevent as much damage as possible. You know what we're trying to protect right now, right?" Hiiro asks me.

"Us," Jennie states, answering for me. "I'm right aren't I?"

"Yeah, you're completely right," Hiiro tells her and I look at him and Jennie as they glare at each other. Yeah, they totally hate each other and I understand why they do right now. "We need to protect you two in order to get you back to your respective worlds without a problem."

"Maybe I can go to her world one day," Parad says, sounding hopeful about a possible trip to where I'm from. "Do you think it'll be fine to?"

"If earthquakes happen here, I would hate to see what will happen there," Hiiro says, shaking his head. "No, you're not going. You could end up causing the Bugster virus to spread around there and we don't want them to have to deal with that kind of thing."

If that virus breaks out where I'm from, the world will be screwed. I can't imagine what would happen then. Actually, I do think about it sometimes. I'm sure I have given it a thought many times in the past.

"Are you guys alright down here?" Emu?

"Are you all fine?" Poppy asks. "Hello?"

I move out from under the table and look around, my eyes looking at the mess around us. "We're fine," I answer. "For now at least."

"Thank goodness that you're alright!" Emu exclaims as a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. "How are you feeling right now? Did you get hurt during that in any way that you don't know about?"

I turn my head a bit as Emu places his head on my shoulder. "I'm alright, Emu. Thank you for asking me." That was a bit rough to experience, but it wasn't all that bad. I assume it is going to start to get worse soon.

"I am so glad to see you all together! I assume that Kiriya and Kuroto aren't with you guys, right?" Poppy asks us, bouncing to our side. "Emu, you shouldn't cling to her! It could make her upset after experiencing such a traumatic event!"

"I'm fine," I say, assuring Poppy that I'm all good. "Don't worry too much about me, alright? I think it is time for me to speak with Kiriya again. I know I'm always speaking with him, but it has to be done. Someone has to talk about what is going on with him." I think it is almost time for me to head home from this wonderful place that I love.

Emu removes his arms from me. "Elkie, do you really want to go and do that right now?"

"I can push it off just for you," I say, turning to him and smiling warmly at him. "How about we spend some time together?"

"There was just an earthquake from you and your friend not needing to be here and that is what you want to do?" Hiiro asks, obviously not interested in what I want to do. He's always so disapproving. I'm lucky that he lets me date Emu.

"Let her live a bit," Jennie snaps. "She's allowed to go out and have some fun. You don't know if she'll find something cool out there. Masamune isn't going to hunt her down right now since he's going to be busy saying how he can prevent these events from happening."

"You think he's going to do that?" I ask.

Jennie laughs. "He's crazy you know. Anything is possible with him."

"That's true." I nod. "So, Emu, want to head out on a date and then handle business here?"

"I'm free for a bit. So, I can definitely go on a date with you." Emu really always does what he can for me. He's the best.

I'll focus on what is going on later. Right now is Emu time and nothing is going to keep me away from him. Nothing at all.

A/n: I know it is a short chapter, but I want to write a cute date chapter since we're getting closer to some sad stuff in the future (not saying what, but it isn't character death). Please look forward to the future of this story and how it ends. I'm excited to bring you the beautiful ending in the future.

Also, will someone ruin their romantic date? It is possible. I haven't decided yet. ;)
