"Elkie, stay inside for now. We're going to head out to deal with business," Hiiro says, his eyes not looking into mine as Masamune stands beside him.

"We'll be back soon," Masamune states.

It has been a bit since they went out to do whatever they want to do. How long am I supposed to wait for them to get back? Is this what it is like being one of Masamune's employees full time? You just wait around for him to come back with something for you to do?

"You're Elkie Winters, right?" A voice asks me and I look over as some guy in a black jacket stares at me with a smile on his face. This man looks familiar, but I can't place a name. "Yes or no?"

"I am. Who are you?" I don't know this man, right?

He steps towards me, grinning widely. "You should know me from all the stories about me. Kiriya Kujo, at your service," he answers, holding out his hand to me. "We're going to be working together from this moment on."

Kiriya Kujo? Didn't he die? How did he come back? Unless...Masamune brought him back from the dead and he's now a Bugster!

"You're not going to shake my hand?" He drops it, his smile dropping a bit. "I knew about you before dying. It is interesting that the one I selected would be selected by Kuroto too. Of course, he's was probably at random."

"What are you even talking about?" I don't get it.

"The one who opened up your world to ours was me. I was studying some sort of crack in this world when I accidentally opened up some kind of portal. I stepped into your world and saw you with your friends. I went back to my world, which somehow gave me the knowledge of my world being fake."

Kiriya's the one who got us all into this mess? Masamune wasn't lying when he said he had nothing to do with it then. I guess that man isn't a liar, but just plain creepy and mean. What an awful guy.

"Kuroto is the one who officially yanked you in, but I was the one who selected you in the first place. I selected you because you seem like you needed something to make your life more exciting. What's more exciting than this, am I right?" Kiriya grins, looking kind of like that cat from Alice in Wonderland.

"You..." He's the one who made this possible for me.

"You're going to help me save the world. This world is in need of something and you're going to help me figure it out," he tells me. "And I'm not lying to you. I may be a good liar, but that doesn't mean I'm always lying to someone."

Kiriya selected me because he thought I needed some excitement in my life? Does that mean he thinks I was boring before all this? How can he determine that I'm a perfect fit for fixing this world?

"What happens when we close this world off to mine?" I ask. "What happens then?"

"We'll go back to being in our own world and you're going to go back to yours. You'll have to forget this world and move on with your life. You're going to remember everything here, but you won't be able to come back."

I won't be able to see Emu once I leave then. Hiiro wasn't wrong about that. He knew it. He knew I wouldn't be able to come back and see Emu the moment I head home. How am I going to live with that?

"I know it sucks to go home once you have attachments to all of these characters here, but it is what it is. We're fictional."

I shake my head. "You're not. You're real."

"We're fictional and we know it. So, Elkie, I saw your friend here as well. Kuroto got her himself it seems. I don't know why he grabbed her, but he did," he responds, pretty much blowing off me and my feelings. "Hiiro is helping you out with the others, right?"

"We're trying to fix this world. We don't know what it needs to close it up."

"We have to finish the main storyline and make a sacrifice. I brought you here to close off the hole to your world. You're the only one who can seal it," he tells me, admitting to the easiest solution of them all. "It needed you here for the main storyline for some reason, which I don't even know why yet, and you're going to complete it."

This world needed someone for it? How does that even work? How does something like this even happen?

"It just happens."

"It doesn't just happen," I spit out. "Kiriya, why me?" I want to know why I was selected out of everyone else. He has to have an actual reason.

"Because you seemed like someone who would try to do what she can for someone else. That is why I wanted you here. I died before I could get you in here though, but it seems like Kuroto gained his own free will then. So, he took something he stole from me and used it to get you into this world."

This is all so complicated and too difficult to understand properly. I hope Masamune knows nothing about this. That would complicate matters and he won't let me go then. Masamune would force me to stay here so he can sell his game in my world.

"The solution is simple, so why don't we just get it over with?"

"You have to end the storyline. That's final," he responds, being straight with me. "Elkie, you're going to save this world and you're going to be a hero. You won't be able to tell anyone what you did, but you will live with the satisfaction of preventing your world from experiencing Kamen Riders."

I turn away from him and close my eyes, breathing heavily. This man is so frustrating to deal with! Is this how he has always been?

"Elkie?"

"What?" I turn to him, opening my eyes and glaring at him. "What is it now? What do I need to do for you to make you happy, Kiriya?"

"Talk to me some more," he says, laughing a bit. "Kidding. But yeah, you can talk to me some more and get to know what is going on with this world a bit more. Since I'm the one who figured out the problem, you should talk to me to figure out more about it. It is a win-win for us."

"It is a win only for you and you know it. I go back home and gain nothing from this," I tell him, still glaring at him.

"You go home having more experience than you did when you came in. You have dated a few guys and had sex with Emu. That's not nothing," he says, pointing out that I have gained something from being here. If I leave, I don't get nothing it seems. "Hiiro told me you two did it and I'm proud."

"I'm going to kill Hiiro."

"Don't kill the fake boyfriend. That's wrong. Anyway, let's go and grab a drink together," he suggests. "We have a lot to talk about."

~.~

I place down the coffee mug and swallow. "I guess. I will have to go home eventually then." I can't stay here for forever sadly.

"That you will," Kiriya responds, taking a sip of whatever he's having for a drink. "What's making you work for Masamune exactly? I doubt it is for Hiiro. What is your exact reason?"

"Because he's going to take Kamen Rider Chronicle to my world," I tell him, smiling. "There isn't anything I can do about it either really. I'm trying to do something, but it isn't like I really can do something without any powers."

"That is where you are wrong. You do have your own powers and that is why I selected you. You have the power to inspire others and to bring people together. It isn't a great power when you look at everyone else around you, but it is once you look at it on its own. We need you."

"Why are you helping Kuroto's daddy? You have your own special reason, right?" I know Kiriya's not evil, so he's obviously pretending to be loyal to Masamune. "What is making you act so dark?"

"I have my own reasons that I can't get into right now." He smiles and I look over at the doorway as Hiiro enters the room. "Oh, it is the bae. How are you doing Elkie's bae?"

Hiiro looks at Kiriya, his eyes narrowing a bit. "What are you discussing with my girlfriend?"

"I was just seeing what brings her to this fine company. This company has top notch employees, so I was curious why she got hired," Kiriya tells him, lying. Hiiro might see that he's lying, but he probably won't pursue it.

"Can I speak to her alone for a moment? It is important," Hiiro asks.

Kiriya starts chuckling. "Sure, absolutely, Hiiro," he responds. "You can talk to her all you want." He stops chuckling and I look at him as he gets up with his drink. "I'll talk to her more some other time. Have fun you two."

"Whatever," Hiiro says, sounding like he can careless about what he is up to.

Kiriya heads towards the exit, heading by Hiiro, and I look at Hiiro. Hiiro moves closer to me and leans down a bit, staring me in the eyes. What does he want?

"He has Saki for sure and he is the only one who can restore her mind right now. She only says the last thing she told me to do," Hiiro tells me, keeping his voice low. "Elkie, I can get her back and then head to where I belong. I can save Saki."

"Hiiro..." I can't say that he's wrong for wanting to save someone. I would probably do the same if Masamune had Emu the way he has Saki. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry, Elk," he tells me, smiling a little. "You're the only reason why I'm able to relax while I'm working here. I'm on edge because of the Saki thing. He's holding her over my head and I just can't let her go again." He closes his eyes, probably trying hard not to cry again.

"It will be fine, Hiiro. I'm sure everything will be fine," I reply, getting up from my seat and stepping close to him. I put my arms around him and embrace him, giving him a gentle and friendly hug.

Everything will be okay once we finish out the storyline and get me back home. I'm not going to tell him yet who is behind this mess, but I will eventually. My main focus is on preventing Kamen Rider Chronicle from causing harm to this world and mine.

Masamune is going to pay for what he has started doing.

A/n: What? Another chapter? And Kiriya did what now?

I hope you don't mind the twist, but I have had it planned for a long time now. It seems like Kiriya doesn't know how the world exactly opened up, but he did exploit it. Good job, Kiriya!

Thank you for reading and enjoying. I'm going to post another chapter of my Build story soon.
