Wild Dog 8

Waking up against a warm body with firm arms wrapped around him immediately had Blake on high alert, but before he could even begin to panic he realized something that quickly put his mind at ease.

I can smell Wyatt's scent.

Coming back down from his near-panic attack, he focused on what he could hear and feel. He was definitely in Wyatt's arms, and the man was clearly still asleep judging by how calm his breathing was. It also helped that he was pressed firmly but comfortably against his chest, though their positions had shifted a bit since he'd fallen asleep. He was now very snugly tucked between the man's body and the back of the couch, but was still partially on top of his chest, too.

He considered trying to get up, but quickly decided against it. Their legs were entwined a bit and he'd definitely wake the guy up if he tried to unwrap himself from him. The faint sound of something walking around drew his attention away from his current predicament. He was nervous for a whole four seconds before he realized that it was Ravi who was pacing about. He could hear the pup's quiet panting, and when he came closer and began sniffing at Wyatt's arm, Blake couldn't help but grin.

He's still asleep, little one.

He couldn't really see the pup well from where he was, but the moment he sent that thought to him he saw two huge pointed ears perk up beyond Wyatt's body.

Sorry to startle you.

He waited for a few moments, curious about whether Ravi would reply to him telepathically or not.

Master Blake...

Blake raised an eyebrow at the master title, but didn't really mind it. He did tend to be a bit more dominant than most subs, and he had considered trying to be a master, himself, a few times.

That had actually been the plan once I finally left, and yet here I am, snuggled up nice and comfortably with the first dom I happened to meet.

He was beginning to rant to himself in his mind when he felt Ravi nudge at his thoughts.

Master Blake, I met a new person and took his scarf.

Blake's internal musings halted immediately as his attention returned to Ravi.

A scarf? A new person?

Suddenly, most of Ravi's upper body became visible as he found himself a tiny foothold on the edge of the couch. His little pink tongue tucked in and out of his slightly-open mouth as he stared over Wyatt's resting form at him.

Ah, he really does have a scarf on now.

It looked like a pretty nice one, too.

I like it. You must have gone out while we'd slept. Do you know the name of the person who gave that scarf to you? he asked curiously as Ravi removed his paws from the edge of the couch, dropping out of view again.

His name was Trever.

Blake smiled, then hesitated right before he was going to send another thought. A certain someone was beginning to wake up. He was a tiny bit uncomfortable with the man's slowly wandering hands, but it was clear that he wasn't coherent yet. That didn't mean that he was just going to let him continue doing what he was, though.

"Wyatt," he said quietly, trying to wake him up more.

When he didn't respond, Blake lifted his right hand and tapped him a few times against his chest. That began to get his attention, but what really woke him up was the insanely-loud sneeze Ravi gave off a moment later. Heck, it even startled him, so it was no surprise at all when Wyatt abruptly sat up in response. What did surprise him though, and make his back go ramrod straight, was when the guy suddenly pulled him super tightly against his chest with one arm while his free hand lifted to the back of his head, tucking it quickly but carefully against his chest for protection. It was honestly kind of cute, but he hoped that it wasn't an automatic response from a previous negative situation.

He was holding back on me earlier.

The guy had some serious strength in him, even though he wasn't really all that buff. Unfortunately, he relaxed his hold as soon as he realized that the culprit of his abrupt awakening was an overly-excited Ravi. The pup was dancing on its paws next to the sofa, wiggling its back end as it sniffled here and there.

"Did you go outside, Ravi?" he asked as he carefully lowered his hands away from Blake's body.

He knew that he should have let him go, too, since he'd reached up while the guy had panicked and wrapped his own arms around his neck, but...

Don't want to.

In fact, he wanted to do the exact opposite.

I don't mind, but your flight is scheduled to leave in two hours... unless you're planning on missing it?

Disregarding the fact that the man had heard his thoughts, again, Blake quickly unwrapped his arms from around his neck and glanced over toward the clock.

"You're right. It's almost five A.M.." he mumbled quietly, earning a chuckle from Wyatt and a needy whine from Ravi. They had slept a lot longer than they'd meant to.

He allowed the cute dog to take his attention after he carefully moved out of Wyatt's lap with the man's helping hands on his hips. As soon as he'd scooted off the couch and onto the floor, Ravi was in his lap. The pup couldn't stop wiggling as he sat down, but he honestly didn't mind.

"I could use some of that energy, bud," he said as he tugged Ravi into a gentle but firm hug.

He got a few excited licks for his effort before he felt the pup suddenly being lifted from his lap. He watched as Wyatt actually began to wrestle with Ravi on the couch, enticing him into hopping back up onto the sofa, too.

They basically played tug-o-Ravi for a few minutes as the pup happily bounced back and forth between them. What actually stopped their fun was when Ravi got so wrapped up in his new scarf that he needed assistance freeing himself.

It took both of them a few moments to get him free, but it took the pup less than two seconds afterward to start trying to bounce between them again.

"As much as I'd like to play with you all day, and I really would, I have to get ready to catch my flight," Blake said with a relaxed smile.

He'd thought he'd be tired, especially after sleeping with some—

I... slept with him. Well, against him, but that still counts as with, to me.

Feeling his face burn in the dark room, Blake struggled to find words. He'd never slept with another guy besides his previous master. He'd only ever had one serious crush in his entire life, too, and when he'd majorly messed that up as a kid, he'd decided to just go at it solo for a long while.

It's okay to accept help sometimes.

Blinking a few times, Blake looked up from Ravi, who had situated himself back into his lap without him even realizing it, and met Wyatt's calm eyes. He wanted to argue that sleeping against someone you didn't even know wasn't exactly considered help, but he disliked arguing, especially with a dominant he was growing to respect a lot.

So, he simply decided to accept the man's words for what they were and nodded his agreement. It was okay to accept help sometimes, he was just upset with himself because of the kind of help he'd decided to seek out.

You're a good man, Blake.

He was about to respond when Wyatt suddenly got up from the couch and, after a quick stretch with his arms over his head... and some belly skin flashing, he headed for the hallway. Blake gave Ravi one final head pat before standing and walking to the bathroom. He nudged the door shut before washing his face, then relieved himself and washed his hands.

Forgot to grab my toothbrush.

He was just opening the door to go get it when he nearly bumped right into Wyatt. The guy pressed a hand to his shoulder before he could, though, stopping him with a calm smile.

"Sorry, I'm kind of out of it right now," Blake mumbled, embarrassed that he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings.

Instead of seeming annoyed that he'd almost been run into, Wyatt just gave a quiet chuckle and stepped aside.

"It just means that you're getting a bit more comfortable around us, and I'm glad."

Blake's eyes widened for a moment before he relaxed again and returned his smile with one of his own.

"You're right, and thank you for taking care of me during my stay in your town," he said as he went to retrieve his toothbrush and paste from his bag.

Ravi met him there and was rewarded with one more head pat before Blake got his things and returned to the bathroom. Without thinking, he opened the door... at the same time Wyatt was about to walk out. They did bump into each other that time, but Wyatt was quick to wrap an arm around his middle, easily keeping him from fumbling or falling.

He's so cute.

Before Blake could comment on the man's thought, Wyatt had released him and was walking around him out of the room.

Ah, right. He can't always hear me.

Shaking his head, Blake hurried to brush his teeth, then return his things to his bag and grab his phone. He considered changing, but there was no reason to. He wasn't planning on trying to impress anyone, and after putting on some deodorant and a bit of Ravi's fur from his clothing, he was comfortable with his appearance .

"Ready to head out?" Wyatt asked as he walked back into the room wearing a pair of black cargo pants and a dark blue sweatshirt. A set of keys were swinging from the fingers of his left hand.

He's giving me a ride?

He hadn't expected it, but he wouldn't complain! If, by chance, he was unable to find a ride-share or taxi quickly, he might have missed his flight.

"Yes, thank you, sir. I appreciate it," he said with a nod as he tugged his suitcase over to the door. He opened it a moment later, then held it for Wyatt and Ravi.

The pup sneezed loudly as soon as it stepped back outside, making them both glance down at him as he pawed at his runny nose. Blake was about to comment that it might be better if he stayed home to try and sleep off his possible incoming cold, but before he could say anything a heavy coat was settled over his shoulders.

He recognized it immediately, then blushed when he realized that he'd actually forgotten it.

"It's alright," Wyatt said as he got the door locked.

Blake quickly zipped the coat up, then lifted a hand to adjust the little barrette that was, thankfully, still situated in his hair. He slipped his hand into the pocket of his coat afterward and was immediately relieved when he felt the other little hairpiece within it.

Once Wyatt finished with the door and turned, Blake pursed his lips and lifted the little clip from his pocket.

"Your hair is pretty messy," he said quietly as the cold early-morning air began to chill their skin.

Wyatt tilted his head as he processed what he was saying, then grinned and bowed his head a little bit instead of taking the barrette.

Blake fidgeted for a moment, but knew that if he took too long to decide what he wanted to do, that Wyatt would retract his gesture and take the clip to put into his hair, himself. Tamping down his nerves, he carefully reached up with both hands and after gently brushing aside most of the unruly bangs on the right side of Wyatt's face, slid the black and red patterned barrette into place.

Before Wyatt could even straighten back up Blake had turned and begun walking toward the stairs. He knew that his ears were likely already turning red from the cold, so he at least had a way to shrug off his terrible blush if someone asked about it.

"No one should ask, because it's not their business," Wyatt said as he gently caught Blake's left hand with his own surprisingly-warm one. "And it's a beautiful way of expressing yourself. Blushing is nothing to be ashamed of."

Blake gave a silent nod, agreeing to his words even though he had none of his own to respond with. His mind was too focused on Wyatt's hand. The guy didn't move to actually hold his right away, and instead kept just enough pressure from a few fingers to prevent his from slipping out of his grasp as they walked. If he wanted to, he could remove his hand with little effort. He wouldn't, though... because he didn't want to.

So, when he didn't pull away by the time they got to the stairs, Wyatt carefully wrapped his hand around his, then gave it a gentle, reassuring squeeze. It honestly felt like he was squeezing his heart, and not his hand, but he kept his mouth closed and his thoughts to himself. Even if he was developing a small crush on the man, it wasn't the right time. He was still way too skittish around other people and quite honestly, just uncomfortable in his own skin. He knew that Wyatt wasn't ready for a new sub, either, so it would be selfish to try and push his way into the man's heart.

When they finally got to where he'd parked his car, they released each others' hands and got in after letting Ravi into the back. He could already tell that the ride was going to be a quiet one, and that was perfectly fine with him. He had a lot of thoughts running around in his mind that needed sorted out, and it seemed like Wyatt wasn't interested in chatting much, either.

Leaning his head against the cool window, he allowed his eyes to close as the car was turned on and they started on their way to the airport. He would admit that he was leaving something behind, but he just couldn't stop himself from moving forward. Staying wouldn't be beneficial to either of them right then. They both had things to deal with in their lives before they could consider each other.

It's just not the right time... but maybe that time isn't too far in the future.

He let a tiny, hopeful smile slip onto his face at his thoughts as he settled in for the short, peaceful drive.
