hikaru pov

i couldn't stop thinking about what bahiyyih said all day, it gave my stomach a bad feeling. "you look a little down, what's wrong hikaru?" bahiyyih asked me. "oh it's nothing... just thirsty." i lied. i got up and poured me a glass of water. i drank it quickly and stared at the ring on my finger, there has to be something more to it. "do you not like it?" bahiyyih asked me. "no no! i love it bahiyyih i promise." i said. she looked away and went back on her phone. "if the day comes...where we're not together.." i mumbled to myself. i didn't know if i was overthinking it, it did seem really weird coming from her. "can we go out to eat?" i asked her. she agreed and we were on our way to our favorite food place, mcdonalds.

AT THE FOOD PLACE.

"the weather is so nice today, it's perfect for a picnic you know?" i said. bahiyyih looked at me and smiled. "we could eat outside today." she said. i agreed but while we were on our way out with the food i realized bahiyyih doesn't like eating outside. "this view is gorgeous." i said. "not as gorgeous as you." she said. we shared a laugh and i told her how corny she was. "was i wrong?" she laughed. i smiled at her, but really i was honestly ready to break down. i was beginning to get lost in my head the longer we stayed out there. what was she planning?

"i'm glad we chose today to spend this time with each other." bahiyyih said while staring at the sky. "why?" i asked. "it's just a nice day." she said. i agreed. we stayed a little bit longer before bahiyyih said she was getting cold. "let's go home then! it's getting dark anyways." i said getting up. we were about to leave and i still had bad thoughts roaming around in my head. "before we go, is there anything else you want? any new shoes or clothes?" she asked. "i've been looking for a new sweater but we can get it another day." i said. "let's get it today! we're already here." she said. i agreed and we went to a near boutique. i again realized, bahiyyih doesn't like shopping late at night.
