I woke up in the middle of the night and felt well rested. Just listening to the sounds around me, I could hear that Aizawa was asleep. Since it was still dark out, I had a couple of hours to use and fly around if I managed to get out of here that was.

At first, I was only awake and listening to Aizawa's breathing in order to be sure that the man was really asleep after that I slowly opened the sleeping back and got out of it. I hated to see the man sleeping on the floor against the wall just like that so I took a blanket of the bed and went over to him to cover him. I was careful to not wake him up. After that I went to the window opened it and climbed out just to open my wings and fly.

Naturally I closed the window again. I didn't want the man to catch a cold after all. He was deeply sleeping which told me that he was exhausted and actually hasn't slept for a while. I knew that he didn't sleep the entire day either so he needed the rest.

Once I was out, I immediately started flying around, greeting the kids and being on the lookout for kids that were about to throw their life's away. Luckily no one was doing it this night. After I did a quick round, I could tell that this was of the rare nights where I could just enjoy the night and so I flew to the highest building and just stood there watching the city.

The night sky was soo beautiful and it was also calming. It was only a couple of minutes later that I could hear some gun shots. Looking at the direction, I could see two kids not even 14 years old running out of the alley. This didn't sit well with me and so I decided to fly down to them. Just a couple of seconds later I was hovering before them.

Me: Wow, wow, wow! Don't be scared! I'm Dark Phoenix.

Once close look and I could tell that both of them were homeless. This was why I used my other name instead of Vulture.

???: Save him!

???: Please save Hawks!

???: He saved us!

The moment I heard his name, I couldn't help but immediately fly up into the sky and dash towards the alley just a couple of meters above their heads. It was not hard to find them. There were 5 people against him and he looked badly injured. The moment I saw one of them go at him, I immediately flew down and used my wing to slice though his neck serving his head from the rest of his body.

He was one of the men's that killed his own family and went missing not only that but the man loved to murder people. The police were on a lookout for him. Guess not anymore.

Me: You look beaten up chicken nugget!

My eyes were fixated at the other men. Every single one of them was also a gang member of the same group that tricked the LOV and the reason our mission failed.

The criminals all looked at me.

Number 1: So it is true! Vulture is now siding with the heroes!

Me: Oh my, where are my manners? I should have killed you first!

Number 2: Hahahaha as if that was possible.

Number 5: Yeah, what he says!

Me: Mhm~!

Just like that I flew past them and served all 3 heads. It took a moment for the body to fall down and their heads to roll of.

Number 3: I give up!

Me: Tsk! As if I would believe that!

All the criminals stopped in track. They looked at me frightened. I was angry and anyone could tell that. They were now paralyzed out of fear. Not a second later 3 and 4 charged at me. They were scared and shaking but they took their guns out. That was the moment I went in front of them and just cut the gun in two pieces with my wing and looked at them cold. The gun exploded and I quickly slashed the man in front of me. His whole chest part was now open and he fell to the ground. The only one left was one guy and he was backing away from me. I had no intention of leaving him to live and so I went over to him and stabbed him with my wing.

After that I quickly went to Hawks and looked at him.

Hawks was looking at me the whole time however he was barely conscious and I could tell that he was trying so hard to preserve energy. Now I had a better view of all his injures and they he wasn't nearly in a good condition. There was a blood poodle forming at his side.

Better fix his injuries quick!

I went to his side and picked him up and began flying in a really fast. My wings changed to white as I was flying across the town. I felt the warm coming of them. There was only one place that could heal him.

Hawks: What .... -cha..... doing.....birdy?!

Me: Don't talk! Please! Just stay awake! I'll get you to Recovery Girl.

Thanks to activating my whole quirk, I was fast and landed on UA's ground. I knew that the healer was living on UA's ground because of the students and so I went to her room from the outside and knocked at the window. I was holding Hawks. There was no way I would break in since I didn't had the permission for this part of UA.

Me: RECOVERY GIRL!

She immortally went to the window and saw me with him in my hand.

Me: Please!

I knew by now that I was a crying mess. Until now I didn't realize that he has somewhat grown on to me.

Once she saw me, she immediately opened her windows and I helped her get Hawks in through it. The healer immediately went to work after letting me in too. All the while I had one of his precious feathers in my hand and was squeezing it.

You can't die!

It was one and the same thought circling my mind. He just couldn't. He was now allowed to do that.

After 1 hour she came over to me and had a look at me too.

Recovery Girl: Dearie, why don't you get the blood of you first.

Me: I would rather stay with him.

Recovery Girl: He won't run away and I will stay here until you return.

Thinking about it, I was completely covered in blood and my feathers were too so a bath was not a bad idea.

Me: Kay.

After that I quickly showered got the blood from myself off and was allowed to stay in the same room as him. I was so worried about him that I was sitting on the ground with my wings open and laying my head on the bed. I still had a feather in my hand as I fell asleep.
