The lights were dimmed down so she could sleep peacefully within my arms. She slept so soundly, but I couldn't. Too many questions roamed my head, it made it difficult for me to close my eyes and drift away.

Caressing her cheeks while I pondered. Through my series of questions, I knew one thing was for sure. Looking down at her sleeping figure, I felt the same giddy feeling that happened repeatedly. Again and again, it reached my chest.

Everything I ever wanted was in front of me.

"Shit. I'm acting like a high school nerd who just figure out what love is."

I rubbed my face with my hand, it was burning red from embarrassment. It was the thoughts of my pathetic-ness that got me in shambles. Peering through my fingers, my eyes landed back on her face. It only made me flush more. I tired my best to contain myself from moving around too much so I wouldn't wake her up.

To be honest, I never figured out when I started feeling this way. I was never the type to believe 'love at first sight', actually I never believed in love in the first place.

As everything I saw while growing up always supported my idea of how stupid love was. How it wasn't a real thing. That all of that was built upon lies.

But maybe...just maybe...

I'll allow myself to be lied to.

I yawned, detangling my hands from her hair to close the lamp. As the room turned dark, I made sure she was comfortable and warm before closing my eyes, already on the verge of falling into slumber.

"Hopefully one day...you'll stop hiding things from me [N/N]."

"Morning sleepyhead..."

I stirred around at the sound of his voice. I slowly opened my eyes to see Hawks, still drowsy, but he had on a gentle smile. I could feel the weight of his body beneath me, how his chest rose and fell with each breath he took. The steady beat of his heart, how warm he was and the scent of citrus with a hint of lavender coming off him.

"Morning Kei."

His eyes widened at the nickname but he quickly got over it by pressing his lips on my cheeks. I squirmed in his hold, feeling ticklish.

"There." He stated proudly, "The payment for being adorable."

I rolled my eyes on him, "Nonsense."

He chuckled, fingers brushing my hair out of my face. I hummed, hand trailing up to play with his fluffy hair.

"Hey [N/N]?"

"Yeah?"

"How expensive is your rent?"

I quirked a brow at his sudden question and stop curling his hair around my fingers to think about the answer. He pouted when I stopped playing with his hair. He looked too adorable, so I couldn't help, but fall into his trap and ended up playing with his blond hair again.

"Why do you ask?" I questioned him, "Want me to move in or something?"

"Why not?"

I stopped and dropped everything again.

"What?"

He smiled so happily, "The neighborhood you live in is always crime ridden and the rent there is unusually high too." He grabbed my hand that was once entangled in his hair and intertwined our fingers. "Why not just move in? You get to save some money too."

I was too shock to even react and blush at how he had intertwined our fingers. Immediately I started shaking my head at his suggestion, ready to crawl out of bed. But then I looked down at our hands, remembering how he was holding onto mines.

"That's too much!" I argued, "Even if I did Ill feel way too guilty to live here rent free-"

"Then just marry me." I blinked. He blinked. "Ha! I was just joking!" He laughed it off.

Didn't seem like a joke to me.

I honestly couldn't tell if he was being serious or not, so I stayed quiet. He pressed another kiss onto my cheeks, smiling cheekily.

"Anyways, what I was trying to say that you shouldn't feel too bad. You're my assistant afterall, so we should stick close together."

"I don't think assistants should be living-"

He pushed a finger to my lips, successfully shushing me. I rolled to the side so he could get up from the bed. Knowing that he probably has to get to work soon and I shouldn't stall him any longer.

"Then my offer still stands."

"But-"

He was already out of the room.

I sweat dropped as I looked at the last spot he stood at before disappearing. Now wondering what I should tell my brother. He won't kill me for this right?

"And if you ever need help just call me alright?"

I nodded, snuggling myself into one of the hoodies he had allowed me to borrow. He couldn't deny it, he loved it when I popped out of his room in his shirt.

"I got it Kei."

"I had to make sure-"

"Just go already!" I shoo him away from me, "You sound like worried boyfriend."

He bit on his tongue before he could say something stupid. Seeing how red I was turning, he was satisfied that he had this affect on me. So he'll let me go, just this once.

"Alright, I'll come back quick, love."

"Just hurry up and leave."

The house felt to big and empty without him here. Before I could realize, I was already missing him. Getting bored with nothing to do, I decided it would be best if I headed over to the league to ask if staying here was really the brightest idea.
Head over the arms of the coach, looking around upside down to change scenery.

"Oh that's right. We have a new base now, hope it's not as disgusting as our old one." Already feeling the blood rush to my head, I sat up, now looking down at Keigo's hoodie, "That also means I don't have any clothes anymore."

Shrugging, I realized that it really was best to head to the base. I don't know when another opportunity to be able to roam around without catching Keigo's suspicion will pop up.

I walked down the streets, it was basically a normal day. The weather outside was perfect, sunny, but not too hot, there was still a breeze but not chilly either.

I wonder if I'll get to have some fun with Dabi after...

Referring to the time where we would go out and commit arson together or just go on a mad killing spree. But like even spending time like, finishing a puzzle or having lunch is fine with me.

It wouldn't take long for me to reach the new place. As I turned the corner, I heard two familiar voices from behind a dumpster. Rising a brow, I sneaked up on them. The pair of vermilion wings were a dead giveaway of who they were. Making sure to not get into a distance where Keigo's feathers could sense my presence. But still close enough to hear what was going on.

"I was hoping we will get along better than this..."

"Oh, I thought you only had weak feathers left?"

I wasn't really surprised to hear that it was my brother and Keigo at it again, about to tear off each other's throat.

"While, I can't exactly meet an lair unharmed?"

Standing there, I waited for a while, eventually the conversation got so boring I zoned out. Trying to remember what I had for breakfast, then what I should eat for lunch.

"Hawks you fucked up."

"Really how?"

He snarled, really fed up with Dabi's bullshit. He suddenly tensed up, his feather catching something out of the ordinary.

"Fuck."
