You sat in silence beside Yato as he stared at you nervously. He could see them. He could hear what they were saying. They were beckoning you to kill yourself. He frowned and gently placed a hand on yours.

"Hey (Name)?" He asked seriously. Something that was unnatural. Yato was never serious.

"What's up Yato?" You asked sitting up straighter. "Is something wrong?"

"I should be asking you that," He said staring at you. "You seem..." He paused to glance at the little phantoms that were on your shoulder. "Different... off somehow. What's up?" He asked. You gave him a weak smile before you placed your hand on his head and ruffled his hair as if he was a child.

"I'm fine Yato. Just a little tired" You stretched. "I'm going to head home okay? I'll see you soon" You tell him as you send him a wave and start to walk away. He frowned when he heard the phantoms call out to you.

Lonely... You're better off dead, who even cares about you?

He pursed his lips as he watched you walk away. He thought about letting you walk away but something in his gut told him to get up. A small thought that grew into multiple others made their way into his mind. What if she does something? What if today is the last day you'll see her? 

"(Name)!" He called out as he reached out and pulled your arm back. You stiffened at the sudden contact. "I need you to trust me (Name)!" He said as he turned you to face him. "I can't help you if you won't let me," He said as he held your head in his hands. "I want to help you. Please let me help you." He said as he pulled you into his chest and cradled your head. You stood there in shock as he continued to hold you. You wrapped your arms around his waist.

"I'm just not sure what to do. I'm so useless and even though I know I have so many people that love me... I feel just so... Lonely" You admitted and he held you tighter.

"You're very important. I love you (Name) I love you so much. I can't lose you" He whispered and you smiled and dug your face into his chest.

"I love you too Yato" You said and he smiled as he rested his chin on the crown of your head. He glared at the phantom as he whispered to you.

"And I swear I won't let anything take you away from me"
