"Everyone please listen up!" The teacher's voice echoed through the classroom. Everyone stopped talking, and looked up to see what the teacher had wanted. She motioned towards you. "We have a new student! This is (Name) Kaiba. Please welcome her to this class" She smiled at you and told you to sit down at an empty seat.

You thanked her, and went to the very back of the classroom. You felt someone staring at you, so you turned your glanced their way. You quickly looked away when you saw it was a boy with spiked hair. You wanted to laugh. Who had hair like that now and days? You placed your hand over your mouth and listened to the teacher go on about what you would be learning today.

Once the lunch bell rang you closed your books and pulled out a book that you had just gotten the other day. You had been meaning to start reading it but you've been so busy that you hadn't had the chance.

"So are you Seto Kaiba's sister?" A voice asked. You looked at her and furrowed your eyebrows.

"Yes I am. Why do you ask?" You replied cautiously. Your brother wasn't good with people. He didn't seem to understand that people had feelings. You noticed that he was only kid around Mokuba, and you. You guessed it was because you two were younger then him and he felt that it was his responsibility to care for the two of you. You snapped out of your thoughts when the girl talked again.

"My name is Tea, and over there are my friends. The blonde haired one is Joey, the brown haired one is Tristan, and the twins over there are Yami and Yugi. The more mature one is Yami and the younger one is Yugi." She smiled at you. "Would you like to come eat lunch with us?" She asked. You looked over at the small group. They looked nice but you weren't so good with people.

"No thank you, but thanks for the offer" You replied with a small smile. She frowned, but nodded. Once she left you opened your book and started to read.

The rest of the day was rather boring you had math, and science left and the teachers were as dull as ever. You were happy to hear the bell ring. You had left the class as soon as you could, and made your way to your locker. You shoved all of your books into your locker then left.

Just as you were heading for the doors a voice stopped you.

"Hey (Name)! Wait up!" You frowned and turned to face the voice who had called after you.

"Tea? What do you need?" You asked the girl. She smiled.

"I wanted to walk home with you. I hope you don't mind if the rest of my friends join" She said as she looked over her shoulder.

"I'm not so sure-"

"Hey you're (Name) right?" An arm slung over your shoulder. "I'm Tristan!" The male gave you a grin and you gave him a nervous smile.

"Tristan you're scaring her" You looked over to see that it was Yugi-no Yami. He was much more taller then the other boy. "Will you be walking home with us today?" He asked you with a pleasant smile. Tea was the one who jumped up.

"Yes! She will be wont you (Name)!" She looked at you with bright eyes.

"Yea sure I guess" You said. She grinned and locked arms with you dragging you out of school.

Through the past few months you had gotten close with the small group. Especially Yami. You had slowly developed a crush on the spiked hair boy. You had tried your best to push it aside but it was a little hard.

"Hey (Name)!" Yami called out to you. You stopped reading and turned to face him.

"Yea?" You asked a little nervous.

"We were going to go to my house after school would you like to join?" He smiled at you.

"Well actually-" You said as you looked away.

"Great I'll see you there" He waved to you then ran off. You had gotten used to people cutting you off. They knew when you were about to reject their offer so they'd often just force you to join them. You didn't mind though. At least you got to spend time with them.

Once school had ended you had joined your friends in walking to his house. Just as you guys were close Tea sighed.

"Oh man I forgot I have to work tonight!" She quickly turned around and winked at Yami.

"And I promised I'd help clean up at home!" Joey said quickly as he started to shuffle away.

"I promised I would help Joey" Tristan said.

"And I promised I would help Tristan help Joey" Yugi said nervously. You squinted your eyes.

"You know that sounds a little-" You were cut off again.

"See you tomorrow!" They called out as they walked away from the two of you. Yami looked at you with a shrug and the two of you walked inside of his house.

"So what are you working on?" Yami asked as he pulled his books out.

"Finishing my book. What about you?" You asked as you pulled out the book you were reading earlier.

"Math" He frowned, and you let out a small laugh.

"I'll be here if you need any help" You said, and opened your book to continue reading.

As the hours passed Yami got more and more annoyed with his work. X's turned into Y's and the formulas just turned into a jumble of numbers. He slammed his book shut and shoved it into his bag.

"Okay I'm done. I'm going to grab something to drink do you want anything?" He asked as he stood up. You looked at him.

"What are you going to get?"

"I think just a soda"

"Then the same for me I suppose." You smile and he leaves the room. After a few moments you find it awkward without his presence so you walk into the kitchen where he is grabbing the sodas. When he sees you he stops what he's doing.

"Is there something you need?" He asks and you shake your head.

"I would rather stay with you" He smiles and throws you your drink. You catch it and he grabs his own and takes you into the other room. "Why do you think the rest of our group ditched us?" You asked out of the blue. Yami choked on his drink and quickly looked away.

"I don't know" He answered quickly. You looked at him as the two of you sat back down on his bedroom floor.

"Are you sure? Tea was giving you the look." You said as you opened your pop and took a sip.

"What look?" He asked.

"It's the 'Do it' look" She always looks at me like that. He started to fidget around with his fingers.

"Okay I have something to confess..." He said.

"Yes?" You stared at him intensely.

"I've liked you for a while now... And I was wondering if you'd go out with me?" He looked down at the floor. You smiled and leaned over to place a kiss onto his cheek.

"I'd love too" You said with a smile.

"What about Seto?" He asked and you shrugged.

"I'm not too worried about it" You smiled and Yami seemed relieved.

"Then I won't stress about it." He leaned over the table and pulled you into a kiss.
