Tomoe X Reader (Kamisama Kiss)

"Morning Tomoe" You chimed as you stepped into the shrine. Tomoe sat up straighter and looked over to you. His face held a serious expression, he was trying to keep calm. He nodded in your direction, acknowledging your presence.

"Good morning miss (Name)," He says, bowing to you. You pulled your shoes off and placed them at the front door. You took off your scarf and coat placing them on the coat rack. You smiled and shook your head.

"Call me (Name), please. I already call you Tomoe" You say as you step into the room. You looked around before frowning. "Where is Nanami?"

"She's-"

"(Name)!!!" Nanami yelled as she pulled you into a hug. You laughed and hugged the girl back. Tomoe growled, looking away from the two of you.

"You're looking better Nanami," You told her as you tucked some of her hair away from her face. You pulled away and began rummaging through your bag. "I brought you your homework and some medicine. I wasn't sure if you had run out yet. Have you eaten yet?" You asked her as you held her homework and medicine. She stared at you, tears in her eyes.

"(Name)! You're so much nicer than Tomoe!" She cried out as she pulled you into a hug. You laughed and gently pushed her away.

"I'll make you some chicken noodle soup," You said as you walked towards the kitchen. "Tomoe would you like something to eat as well?" You asked, sparing a glance at him. The male shook his head.

"I'm fine. Thank you... (Name)" He said as he turned back to the book in front of him. Nanami sat across from him, looking over her homework. Tomoe listened as he heard you hum a happy tune as you cooked.

"Alright! I'm done!" You chimed as you handed Nanami a bowl. She happily took the bowl and began to work on finishing the soup. You had a bowl in front of you and slowly worked on it. You weren't all that in a rush to leave. Nanami asked you a few questions about her homework before she fell asleep.

"Ah- She's getting heavier," Tomoe said as he walked back into the room. You gently laughed before reaching over to look over her homework.

"I'm glad that she isn't starving herself," You said as you made a few corrections on her homework. Tomoe sat beside you, watching you work away.

"May I ask why you're so modest?" He asked you carefully. He didn't want to sound rude. You blushed at the comment and attempted to laugh it off.

"Well- um- Nanami is a hard worker and an amazing friend. She deserves to be treated with kindness. She's always treated me that way. I just wanted to do something for her." You smiled at him before shrugging. "Ya know?" He hums in response. He allows the pads of his fingers to trail up your arm. You continue to stare into his eyes. He leans closer and you copy his movements. You both freeze when you hear a groan and then a thump.

"I'll get that." You say as you scurry away from the room, a blushing mess. Tomoe inwardly groans as he watches you walk away. He was so close! He pouted and looked down at the papers. "She's fine" You chimed as you walked into the room. "I should get going though..." You eyes wonder over to your coat.

"I'll walk you home!" Tomoe exclaims, a little too soon. You jump at the immediate response but slowly nod. You don't mind the idea. You get your things and throw on your scarf and coat. You lace up your boots and the two of you walk towards your home.

When the two of you arrive to your front door you turn to look at Tomoe. You nervously rub your hands together.

"Well- Thank you for walking me home and thanks for taking good care of Nanami" You say to him before slightly bowing. He smiles and nods.

"I should be saying that to you. I know she can be a pain at times so thank you for staying with her" He says, a smile still present on his lips. You laughed at his comment before shaking your head. "Before you leave. May I kiss you?" He asks you quite bluntly. You both stand there in the darkness of the night. You're face is slowly turning red, he questions if it's from the cold or from him but decides not to say anything.

"Yes." You say quietly. He wastes no time in taking a few steps up your porch to reach your height. He places one of his hands on your cheek and the other on your waist.

"Goodnight" He says as he pulls away, walking quickly down the street. You barely have time to say goodbye but you can definetly see a distinct hue of red on his cheeks.
