Peridot never understood why you did this unusual thing called 'sleep'. She would always question you about it and you would always say

"Well if I don't sleep I won't have much energy to move around. Don't you need to sleep?"

Of course she did not need sleep. She was literally a rock. A gem. She got all of her energy by her gem. She would always give you a confused expression when you said that, but when you did fall asleep it was often in your bed and on rare times leaning or on top of her. She watched as your chest rose and she would watch your peaceful expression. She liked whenever you slept. You did not look as stressed as you did while you were awake. Sometimes she wished she could just sleep her worries away.

She brought her fingers up to the top of your head and gently stroked your hair. You were cuddled up against her your arms wrapped loosly around her waist. You were obviously asleep she could hear your soft snores. She smiled gently when she saw your face. You truly were cute. She pressed a small kiss to the top of your head before turning her attention back too the movie the two of you had been watching before you fell asleep. She did not mind it. It was some movie about a man who had come from a different planet to come and save the planet Earth.

After a while Peridot became bored but she did not want to wake you up so she sat there awkwardly wondering what she could do. She did not have anything to fidget around with and the movie had ended. She sighed and placed her head ontop of yours and closed her eyes.

To be honest she was not sure what she was expecting but when she awoke she saw you looking up at something while giggling she became confused. When did you wake up? And why had she not noticed?

"Peri! You never told me that Gems could dream!" You say with a grin. She looked at you.

"(Name) just what are you talking about?" She exclaimed. You grabbed hold of her shoulders.

"You were asleep - I think- and your gem was projecting your dream! It was..." You giggled "It was quite cute. I didn't know you liked cuddling with me so much Peri! And if you want me to kiss you more you should just say so!" You say while you pull her into a tight hug. She looked horrified. Her face became a dark green and she pushed you away.

"N-no! I don't know what you are talking about!" She yelled but you ignored her and kissed her on the cheek.

"It's okay Peri! I don't mind giving you kisses" You say with a grin. She looked at you before covering her face.

"(Name)..." She groaned out. You laughed and nodded.

"Right right. Sorry" You chime and wrap your arms back around her. She sighs and pulls her hands away from her face to wrap her arms around you. She placed a kiss to the top of your head.

"Please don't mention this to anyone" She said.

"I promise Peri" You say while you snuggle closer to her. "But I can't promsie that I won't tease you about it."
