So you had a small problem. It wasn't anything too serious but it's been bugging you for a while now. Your boyfriend, Gilbert Nightray, went off to do some mission with Oz, and Alice. You loved the two like they were your family but they were taking Gilbert away from you when you needed him the most, and that royally pissed you off.

You had gotten used to the feeling of human warmth beside you, or sometimes when Gilbert was brave enough he would wrap his arms around you and bring you into a close embrace. It was a wonderful feeling being able to wake up with him by your side, but without him you couldn't sleep. You really couldn't. You would lay in bed an stare at the ceiling for hours, and hours on end. Long before the candle beside your bed went out. The candle let out a sweet aroma so you liked to keep it burning. You would often twist, and turn in the sheets throwing them away and then back onto you. No matter what position or what you did, did not help you get to sleep. There was only one person would could help you, and he was gone.

Of course you had never told Gilbert about this little issue because you didn't want to worry him. So instead you sat at the long table in the dining room and drank your tea. You were staring off into the distance as you drank. You had snapped out of your trance as you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around to see Gilbert. He looked a little worried.

"(Name)? What are you doing here sitting in the dark? Are you okay?" He asked. You nodded, smiling up at your boyfriend.

"I'm fine. I was just excited for your returning so I stayed up to wait for you. How did the mission go?" You asked as you stood up, leaving your cup of tea.

"Let's talk about that tomorrow. Right now I want to go to bed." He examined you before frowning. "And you look like you need some sleep too" He said as he lead you towards your shared bedroom.

"You sure know how to speak to a lady" You said with a quiet laugh. He smiled back at you. "Where is Oz, and Alice?"

"They're already in their rooms" He said. "There is no need to worry about them. Here" he said as he opened the door.

"Thanks" You said as you went in, and he followed behind you. The two of you immediately jumped into bed. Too tired to change. Gilbert had removed his jacket, hat and shoes then entered the bed.

Tonight he decided that he wanted to hug you. So he wrapped his arms around you, and pulled the blanket up closer to the two of you.

"I'm sorry. I promise I won't leave for that long again okay? I don't want you to lose sleep over me. I love you (Name)" He said as he buried his face into your hair. You hummed a small 'love you too' and wrapped your arms around him. You had fallen asleep in the matter of seconds.
