Akashi X Reader (Kuroko No Basket)

You worked at your school library on Mondays, and Wednesdays from the time the bell rings for school to be over till six thirty. You got voulunteer hours for this so it wasn't that bad. You'd be done in a few weeks. You had often spent your after schools at the library anyway so even if you did finish your 40 hours you'd probably still work there.

Lately you have seen this boy in the library. He had bi-eyes. One red, and the other a gold yellowy colour. He was a little on the weird side. You knew he was the captain of the basketball team, and that he had some kind of scissor fetish? You didn't quite understand that one. Anyway. He's been coming in more frequently, and to your understanding from what the librarian had told you was that he only came the days you were there. You didn't really know what to think so you mostly just did you best to ignore him. He usually left a half an hour before closing time, which was good, because everytime he took a book off the shelf he would always put it in the wrong area so you would have to go over and put it in it's right place.

"Dammit" You muttered as you tried to reach the book. That kid Akashi was really short so you wondered how the hell he got it up on the very top of the book shelf. "I really hate this" You said as you tried to jump up and get it once again.

"Have you tried using a chair?" A voice said. You looked over to see Akashi.

"No..." You grumbled as you passed him and grabbed a chair placing it next to the book shelf and stepping onto it. "Seriously man. What the hell is your problem? You never put the books back where they came from" You asked as you grabbed the book. You jumped off then moved to put it back where it originally was supposed to be. You then grabbed the chair and put it back where it was supposed to be.

"Date me" He said bluntly. You looked over at him.

"Hell no" You said "Why do you want to date me?"

"Because you're interesting" He said with a shrug.

"What a horrible response. No wonder you've never had a girl friend before" You said as you pointed a finger at him. "And put your damn books back or else we're going to have a problem" You said as you shoved him out of the library doors and slammed the door shut. He stood there with a smirk sprawled out across his face.

"How interesting" He murmered.

He of course came back the next day and just as he was about to leave he looked at you dead in the eye and placed the book where it wasn't supposed to be.

"GoD DAMMIT YoU STUPID CAT!" You yelled at him as you crossed the room in a flash and grabbed the book. "Put your book away or else I'll ban you from the library." He looked at you.

"Then date me" He said once again.

"nO! You're an arrogant ass. If you're going to ask me out you have to win my pathetic heart you idiot" You said. He nodded.

"Okay challenge accepted" He hummed and left the room. You looked at him confused.

Over the course of the next few weeks anytime Akashi saw you he'd give you flowers or even your favourite drink. How he had found out that, that was your favourite drink you never really knew. He would compliment you in the halls personally invite you to his basket ball practices, and games. You often rejected them since you were usually.

"Wow he really likes you" Your friend Penelopy said as she watched you open your locker and watch as a letter fell onto the ground. You frowned and picked it up.

"It's just a game to him" You said with a sigh. "I don't think he really wants to actually date me. I think it's more of a status thing maybe? Or maybe he's trying to annoy an ex of his?" You shrugged.

"I really don't think a guy like that has an ex. Plus he seems to like you. He would have given up by now wouldn't he?" She asked.

"Yea maybe... I just... I just don't think I'm mentally prepaired for another relationship.. after what happened with Jake" You ran a hand through your hand. "I really don't want that to happen again" Your friend gave you a sympathetic look.

"That was months ago (Name). I know how hard it is for you to forget what happened but you have to let it go and move on. He was an idiot for thinking that he could find anyone better then you" She said as she ruffled your hair. "You don't have to date, but you do have to get over it at some point" She said. You looked at you with a small smile.

"You always know what to say thanks Penelopy" She grinned.

"Well obviously. You know the next time he asks you to go to one of his games you should go. What could go wrong?" She said with a shrug. You nodded.

"Okay" You said.

"(Name)" Akashi tapped the table to try and get your attention. You turned to look at him, placing your book on the table.

"Yes?" You asked.

"I'm having a game this Saturday. Will you come to watch me play?" He asked. You nodded.

"Sure. I'm ot busy then. You better win" You say as you grab your book.

"If I win will you go out with me?" He asked. You shrugged.

"Sure if you win" You smirk. Akashi smiles, and gets up.

"Then I'll pick you up on sunday at two PM."

"Someone's getting a little cocky. Who says you'll win?" You ask. He turns to look at you.

"It's because you'll be there that I'll definitely win." He said as he walked away. You blushed and shoved your head into your arms.

"Idiot... If you keep on saying things like that I'm definitely going to fall for you" You groan out.

As soon as Saturday rolls around you enter the gymnasium. You're a few minutes late, but you attend none the less. As soon as you sit down at the very back you sit, and you notice a quite familiar face that is not Akashi. You putch your sweater and ignore the male. You pretend that you had never even seen your ex. Now you really hope that Akashi beats that cheaters ass.

The game is on its last five minutes and you obviously know who is going to win. Akashi's team. He's a lot better then you thought. Throught the game every time he would score he would glance your way and you would give him a small thumbs up. Also throughout the game you had felt someone staring at you. Of course you knew it was Akashi since you kept your eyes on him at all times. You knew exactly who it was. As soon as the sound went off indicating that the game was over and they declaired the winners. You waited until you were the last one to get up and off of the bleachers, and moved to wait for Akashi near the front doors, but your stopped by a hand grabbing your arm.

"(Name)" You look over and glare at the male who held onto your arm.

"Don't touch me" You hissed, and pulled your arm back, but he still held on tight.

"Listen. I know what I did wrong. I made a mistake please take me back." He pleads. You stare at him bewildered. Like he gets a second chance after what he did?

"What did you just say? Take you back? Like hell I will" You growl. "You knew what you were doing. You can't say you didn't. You ruined your chances after you cheated on me" You say. He frowns

"Come on. Weren't you the one that was all about second chances."

"Did I stutter? You lost your chance" You hissed. He glared at you.

"I did nothing wrong. The relationship we were in wasn't moving along" He said.

"So cheating was the answer?" You yelled "Do you know how many sleepless night I spent awake wondering why I wasn't good enough? Do you know how many times I cried myself to sleep because I thought I was useless" You pulled your arm away, and this time he let go. "You ruined everything so don't come crawling back to me thinking you can just get it all back. Leave me alone" You said and as you went to leave once again he slammed you against the wall.

"You-"

"I'd advise for you to remove your hands from my girlfriend" You looked over to see Akashi standing there with his gym bag on the floor. "I've heard quite enough I need to. Now I understand what has happened. So I suggest you leave before anything happens... Do you understand?" Akashi asked as his gaze turned dark. Jake growled and removed his hands from you.

"Whatever" He said. You looked over at Akashi. He turned his gaze to meet yours. He slowly walked towards you before wrapping his arms around you. He put his head on your shoulder.

"I don't care how long it takes. As long as you want to stay with me I will show you what it is like to have someone who truly loves you. For now our relationship may not be that strong, and I understand that love takes a very long time so I'll wait. I've known you for a lot longer then you may think" He says, and he soon pulls away. "I'll walk you home to make sure he doens't bother you again" He says before he plants a kiss to your cheek. You blush a little and nod.

"Alright..." You mutter. He grabs his gym bag and the two of you head out the doors hand in hand together.
