Akaashi X Reader (Haikyuu!!)

Akaashi watched as you walked away from the group of males you had been talking to minutes prior. His eyes hardened as he heard you muffled cries. Your sleeves were wet from wiping your tears away. You passed him without noticing it. He kept his gaze on the three boys who seemed to be laughing at your retreating figure. He turned to look at you before turning back to the group and walking to them.

"So..." his voice was rough and threatening as his eyes glared at them. It looks could kill the boys would all be dead. "What happened?"

He found you at your shoes locker, pulling out your outdoor shoes to exchange with your indoor shoes. He watched you for a while. He noted your eyes were swollen, your nose was red. You slipped your shoes off and put them in your locker before putting your other shoes of and turning to leave.

"(Name)" he finally called out. You turned to look at him, a shaky smiled formed on your lips.

"Hey Akaashi" you say, you gripped the straps of your bag as you looked away. To him, you looked so vulnerable, so hurt. He wasn't sure what to do, he was not good at these things. He wasn't good at comforting you. A part of him broke when he heard you sniff. He slowly walked closer to you, in fear that he would scare you if he moved too fast. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer. He rested his chin on the crown of your head. Your hands gripped the back of his shirt as you rested your head on his chest. He trailed his hand up your back and threaded his fingers through your hair.

"Want to talk about it?" He asked as he pulled away slightly to look at you. He scanned your face for an answer as the grip on the back of his shirt loosen. You pulled one of your hands back to wipe away some of the tears that began falling from your eyes.

"I don't even like him- I just wanted to tell him I wasn't interested. I hate feeling like I'm nothing to people" you whimpered as you looked away in attempt to save yourself from the hurt expression Akaashi's face showed. It hurt you to see such a stoic boy seem so broken by your words. He caressed your cheek before pulling you into his chest and holding you against him.

"They're stupid. They should mean nothing to you. You, (Name), are so amazing and talented. You shouldn't let them bother you." He pressed a kiss to the crown of your head before pulling away and kissing you. "You mean the world to me (Name)" he whispered. You looked at him, eyes wide. You just stared at him, unsure of what to say. Your hands gripped his sides as you smiled weakly.

"You promise?" You whispered. The corners of his lips tugged upward ever so slightly as he looked at you in the most endearing of ways.

"Promise"
