chapter twenty-two

arriving at the neo universe, the lee's cousin was greeted by a loud explosion that made the both of them flinch and almost fell on the ground. taeyong luckily balanced himself, that's why he immediately helped haechan.

"what is happening?" haechan asked, worrying.

"let's ask renjun," taeyong said.

the surroundings are completely messed up and they don't know what was happening. as far as they remember, the place looked fine when they left since they had to file a work leave because it's kinda hasle for them to leave every morning.

and when they came back, the place suddenly changed.

"hyung..." haechan said as they arrived at the city of west.

"we’re having the same thoughts, do we?" taeyong asked, looking around as he held haechan tight, not wanting him to lose.

"there might be a war..." haechan said, suddenly get nervous.

"move!"

haechan and taeyong immediately covered each other as someone shouted to move, they might not be wrong about their thoughts that there might be a war in this universe.

"it's messy out here, why did you guys come back?!" the small guy asked.

"can’t we?!" taeyong answered, raising his voice a little bit since they couldn't hear each other.

"there's a war happening right now!" renjun shouted, and suddenly made a portal out of nowhere. "let's go! i will discuss it!" he told them.

the two immediately went inside it and renjun followed, they were now inside the kingdom and haechan couldn't help not to walk near the window. and he saw how messy out there.

they were fighting not using the guns, jets or everything that they usually seen in movies and in real life. here, in the neo universe. they were fighting using their abilities and swords.

"two days ago when the family of the prince that the south kingdom put in jail, threatened the four kingdoms that if they didn't let their son out of jail, a war that we were all trying to stop might happen." renjun started, cleaning his suit.

"who's the prince?" haechan asked, frowning.

"well, that prince that they called annoying because he even used to hide in the human world?" renjun said. "luckily the big five found them." he finished off.

the big five that renjun is talking about are mark, jaehyun, johnny, yuta and jeno. the big five who always gave a hard mission but they easily finished off. taeyong and haechan already know that’s why they didn’t ask renjun who the big five is.

"what is happening now?" taeyong asked.

"it's a complete mess," renjun said. "south, north, west and even east. we never expected this because we let the annoying prince out even though he was dangerous. that's why each kingdom has a huge damage because we're not ready for this." he explained.

taeyong and haechan suddenly looked at each other, probably understand what each of them were thinking. they need to go back to the south to check on their sons, friends, and their partners.

"we can't use the helicopter right now and i can only use my powers to make a portal in this kingdom. i don't know how i could drop you off in the south." renjun said worriedly.

"you don't need to worry about that," haechan said calmly.

but they suddenly flinched when something hit the window, it means, the protection of the whole kingdom is slowly disappearing.

"i think we can help a bit, junnie." haechan said.

the prince looked at them, he was aware that they might have their partner's abilities and it's such a huge help for them since mark and jaehyun are one of the strongest people in their universe.

and the question is, can haechan and taeyong handle it?

"hmm, humans."

they were now looking up at the person who's now floating and has a lot of troupes on his back. it looks like they were trying to break the protection of the west kingdom to completely vanish the place.

"nice to meet you then." haechan said and let out a smirk.

seconds after when their eyes suddenly glow, the enemy's smirk slowly faded away and made a fireball to hit it to haechan and taeyong.

taeyong started to float every piece of rock he saw and threw each of them on the troupes, while haechan started to manipulate and control the fireball which was supposed to hit them but instead, he controlled it and threw it back to him. a shout has been heard before he disappeared.

"mark hyung and jaehyun hyung should never hurt them." chenle said who was at their back.

also witnessed how the lee's cousin just vanished the enemies easily who was trying to break the kingdom's protection. he didn't or they didn't expect that they would do that easily.

well, as someone like haechan who can manipulate and control everyone's powers. anyone can be really defeated by it.

"the protection has been fixed," renjun said as he arrived at the field. "you guys can go now, thank you for helping." and he smiled.

"i still wonder how you guys handle your powers that fast." yangyang said, still amazed by it.

"they are teachers, of course they will understand how to handle it." jisung said.

maybe it also helps to understand how they would handle their abilities, their fast learning literally helped them. during the couple of months staying here, the two of them have witnessed how their sons are getting trained little by little.

the kids just need to know how they would handle it safely and when they need to use it because it's kinda dangerous, especially marco. and everytime they get trained, their dadas are also there who are also listening to how to handle it.

and that's why they knew how to use those abilities.

"we're going now." haechan said as he held taeyong's hand.

in just a blink of an eye, they had finally arrived in the south. which surprised them the most because the enemies are so much more compared to the west.

"jaehyun is currently in the north but jaeyu is here." taeyong said, looking around.

"i mean, i can drop you off there." haechan said.

"the south needs more help," taeyong said. "let's separate now." and he left.

haechan watched him leave and let out a sigh, can't even believe that his cousin just left like that. there's even no warning, count or something.

"whatever," haechan said and was also about to leave but he felt someone staring at him.

"human," he said.

"oh, come on. how many times do you guys need to say that?!" he whined and even stomped his feet.

"there's no place in this universe for humans," and he started to make everything's float.

"there is," haechan said as his eyes glowed. "and let me show you." he smirked.

the metals, lights, and other sharp things are now getting thrown to haechan but since he controlled it, it was completely stopped and it was literally in front of him. the enemy was suddenly stunned by it but haechan just smirked widely before throwing it back to him.

"well, maybe there's really no place for us but who the hell asks though?" he asked sassily and rolled his eyes.

not until he heard screams inside the kingdom which made him look at it, he immediately ran inside the kingdom and made his way to the garden where the others were.

"double the protection of the kingdom!" mark said seriously. "these dipshits are really giving me a headache, oh come on! i can't control all of you!" he whined.

haechan let out a chuckle before he went to the terrace in just a blink of an eye, he started to control the wind and hit the enemies away. controlling the laser ball and threw it back to them which successfully vanished them away.

"haechan!"

taeyong threw someone at the air which made haechan immediately get the sharp things from the railings and stab it to that someone.

"how i wish i could also float." haechan said, pouting.

"bleh!" taeyong said, sticking his tongue out, probably teasing the younger one.

haechan rolled his eyes and just went back to the ground, but as soon as he came down, he heard a whine from taeyong just because he hit him using the wind. well, it's hard to explain but it was something like that where you were getting hit out of nowhere.

"yah, lee mark. where's our son?" haechan asked as he leaned a soft kiss on mark, but the older one wasn't still satisfied. that's why he kissed him again.

"well, somewhere with jaeyu and yuta." mark said, giggling.

"they were outside?!" he shouted.
