piano lessons + a baseball game!

*Just a oneshot of Archer and Sparrow's two favorite hobbies! Thank you to Rami-Is-A-Sweetheart for helping me write this! Enjoy! Love • Bree ❤️*

Today, Sparrow and Archer are both pretty busy! Sparrow has a baseball game later and currently, Archer is learning piano.

Piano was a little easier to Archer, since he has a natural interest in it. Sports are what Sparrow has natural interest in.

Right now, Archer is doing a simple song with both hands, it was Happy Birthday, but just with chords instead of notes. He has already learned other easy songs like Twinkle Twinkle and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

"Good job, Archer! You're a fast learner." The piano teacher praises to Archer.

"Thanks!" Archer says in reply, playing a different song in the sheet music and getting a little frustrated when he messes up quite a bit.

Archer manages to finish the song though, knowing better than to stop immediately when you mess up.

"I kept hitting the wrong keys. It's hard." Archer admits, feeling annoyed at his own mistakes.

The song Archer was learning was called Lavender's Blue which is a common nursery rhyme.

"It's okay! It takes practice! You just started learning this song today! You are doing a great job!" The piano teacher says to Archer, happily encouraging him.

Archer smiles and continues to practice the song while Crouton closely sits by.

Meanwhile outside, Sparrow is practicing his running and batting skills. Sparrow did some catching practice earlier with Archer.

Sparrow can play a lot of positions but he usually plays left or center field and sometimes second base.

Sparrow's baseball team is called the Cubs and today they will be playing against the Sharks, which is one of the better teams.

Tyler is busy in the laundry room getting much needed laundry done! Tyler is wearing a jersey to support Sparrow's baseball team. Tyler also is the snack parent, meaning he has to bring a few snacks and drinks for the team!

An hour later, Archer was finished with his piano lesson, and he goes upstairs to get a jersey to match Tyler's to support Sparrow's team.

And Sparrow is getting ready himself, making sure he's hydrated enough to run and play however he needs to, so Sparrow is drinking a big glass of water.

"Mommy! I can't find my jersey!" Archer calls out, really wanting to wear it.

"Here it is, Archie! I had to wash it." Tyler says to Archer, making Archer smile ear to ear.

"Thank you, Mom!" Archer says as he happily puts his jersey on and fixes his pants, making Tyler smile.

"We are both wearing our jerseys to support Spar!" Tyler says as he smiles at Archer.

"Yeah! Go Cubs! Go Cubs!" Archer says as he cheers happily:

"Uncle Korey is coming too! And Dad!" Tyler says with a grin.

"Uncle Tyde is in town too! He and his girlfriend Maddie are coming!" Archer says as he jumps up and down.

"Oh, how fun!" Tyler says as he hugs Archer and kisses his forehead.

Sparrow comes downstairs wearing his full baseball uniform. His jersey, hat, cleats and white pants. Sparrow is also carrying his bag full of other equipment he needs.

"Hey, bud! Are you ready for today?" Tyler asks Sparrow with a smile.

"Yes!" Sparrow says happily to Tyler.

"Hey, Spar! What position are you playing today?" Archer asks Sparrow happily.

"I'm playing center field today!" Sparrow says happily.

"Awesome! Can you two help me carry the snacks and drinks? I was picked to bring food today!" Tyler says to Archer and Sparrow.

Archer and Sparrow happily carry the drinks  and snacks while Tyler helps them out!

"Bye, Crouton! We will see you later!" Tyler says with a smile at Crouton.

"Bye Crouton!" Archer and Sparrow both say in unison with big grins.

Soon enough, the family is all at the baseball field for Sparrow's big game!

Archer, Sparrow and Tyler all get the snacks and drinks out of the car and place it where it belongs before both boys gets distracted.

"Uncle Korey!" The twins cheer, both running over to give their Uncle a big hug.

"Hey, guys! I'm glad I can make it to this big game!" Korey says enthusiastically hugging Sparrow and Archer.

Korey is wearing a shirt with a cub on it, Sparrow's baseball team logo.

Just then, Troye, his younger brother Tyde and Tyde's girlfriend Maddie all walk over to greet Tyler, Korey, Archer and Sparrow.

"Dad! Uncle Tyde! Maddie!" Archer and Sparrow both say in unison as they run over to greet their dad, uncle and uncle's girlfriend.

"Hey, turds!" Tyde says playfully making the boys laugh.

"Oh my gosh, you two have gotten so tall since I saw you two last!" Maddie says with a giggle.

Sparrow jumps up and down excitedly, very joyful that his family was all here.

"Yeah! We grew super tall!" Archer says to Maddie, giggling as well.

"We're so glad we get to watch you play, Sparrow!" Troye says happily, since he doesn't get to watch the baseball games much.

"I'm glad too! But I have to go on the field now! Bye!" Sparrow says and he runs off.

"Good luck!" Troye, Tyler, Maddie, Archer and Tyde all say as they all sit down on the benches.

Sparrow joins his fifteen other team mates on the baseball field with their two coaches!

Sparrow and his teammates begin to practice on one side of the field while The Sharks practice on the other side of the field!

"He looks so cute out there." Tyler says with a smile as he sits his head on Korey's shoulder.

"He looks just like Troye, it's really cute." Maddie says as she holds Tyde's hand.

"He is sassy like Tyler though." Troye says as Tyler playfully smacks him.

"Oh stop!" Tyler says making Korey, Maddie, Troye and Tyde all laugh.

"Mom, can I get a pretzel with cheese and a snowball?" Archer asks Tyler, wanting a snack from the snack area.

"Did you bring your money?" Tyler asks Archer, wanting his son to learn the value of money and work.

"I brought a bit... I have.. eight dollars." Archer says counting the cash he bought.

"If you want both of those, how much will it cost then?" Tyler questions, encouraging math.

Though, this was a bit of a special occasion, so if Archer almost had enough, he could give the money owns to Tyler at home later.

"The pretzel is three dollars and the snowball is a dollar so that's four dollars!" Archer says happy that he has enough money.

"You have to add fifty cents if you want cheese with your pretzel!" Tyler says as Archer giggles.

"So then it will be $4.50 cents!" Archer says making Tyler smile proudly.

"Plus tax!" Korey says playfully making Archer giggle loudly.

"Tax! That's lame." Archer says as he tries to figure out the tax but he doesn't know what that is exactly.

"I don't think they do tax at a little snack stand! But they might! So to make sure you have enough, you should add another dollar! Tax isn't the same amount each time. So your grand total will be five dollars." Tyler says as he watches Archer count out five dollars in ones.

"If they give you change, you should put it in the tip jar, that helps the workers. It is always good to give something back!" Tyler says and Archer smiles.

"Okay, Mom!" Archer says as he hugs Tyler.

"Go ahead and get your snacks before the game starts!" Tyler says as Archer happily runs over to the snack stand.

"Jeez Tyler! Making him use his money!" Troye says playfully making Korey, Tyde and Maddie all laugh:

"That's what his money is for! To buy whatever he wants." Tyler says playfully back.

"Yeah, you're right. He looks so proud of himself." Troye adds softly, looking at the baseball teams practicing.

Archer politely orders his snacks and remembers to put change in the tip jar.

"Thanks for your purchase, kiddo! Have a good day!" The employee says to Archer,

"Thanks, you too!" Archer says before heading back over to sit with Tyde, Maddie, Tyler, Korey and Troye.

"Those look delicious! Baseball game snacks are so fun." Maddie says and Archer offers her a bite of the pretzel.

After ten minutes of practicing in the field, the baseball game finally begins!

The umpire flips a coin and the coin lands on heads which means The Cubs are batting first!

Tyler cheers happily making Korey giggle and smile.

"Tyler is such a baseball mom!" Korey says with a big smile.

Archer happily enjoys his pretzel and snowball while he watches the baseball game begin!

"Yeah! Go, Cubs!" Troye cheers, getting excited by the game even though it has just begun.

Sparrow and his teams take turns batting, and when Sparrow is up, he hits a foul ball.

Sparrow doesn't get too frustrated though, he just sighs and keeps trying.

Sparrow then hits the baseball and runs over to first base, causing Archer, Tyler, Troye, Korey, Maddie and Tyde to all happily cheer.

"Great job, Sparrow!" Tyler says as he claps his hands happily and cheers.

Archer giggles and smiles at Tyler's excitement and smiles. Archer than turns around to talk to Troye.

"Dad! I'm learning a new song on the piano!" Archer says with some excitement.

"Ooo, which one?" Troye asks Archer curiously.

"Lavender's Blue!" Archer says with a grin.

"That is awesome! Lolli loves that song." Troye says making Archer smile.

"Once I know how to play it I'll film a video of me playing it for Lolli!" Archer says happily to Troye.

"She will love that!" Troye says as he takes a piece of Archer's pretzel.

"What flavor of snowball did you get?" Korey asks Archer curiously.

"Cotton candy!" Archer says with a cheeky smile.

"Ooh! That's a fun and yummy flavor!" Korey says as he smiles back at Archer.

Archer nods and continues cheering his brother on. Archer doesn't like to play sports, but he thinks baseball can be enjoyable to watch!

A while later, the score is now 2-4, with The Sharks having four points. But there is still time for the Cubs to win.

It is time for Sparrow to bat again! Sparrow heads to the plate and gets ready to swing.

"You got it, Spare!" Archer cheers his younger twin brother on happily.

Tyler, Korey, Troye, Tyde and Maddie also cheer on Sparrow loudly making Sparrow smile.

Sparrow smiles and then hits the baseball, hitting a double! Sparrow quickly runs on the field and makes it to second base!

Archer, Tyler, Troye, Tyde, Maddie and Korey all cheer for Sparrow.

An hour later, the baseball game is over! The Cubs won the baseball game 6-4!

The Cubs and The Sharks players all happily shake each other's hands before all of the kids join their families and go home!

Sparrow joins Tyler, Archer, Korey, Troye, Tyde and Maddie as they walk over to their cars, talking about the baseball game!

"You did great, Spare!" Archer says as he hugs his twin brother.

"Thanks, Archeroo! I tried my best and had so much fun! We won and beat The Sharks, the best team!" Sparrow says hugging Archer back.

"Yeah! You kicked their butts!" Archer says as he and Sparrow both laugh.

"Good job playing, buddy! You and your team did so good!" Troye says as he ruffles Sparrow's messy curly hair.

"Thanks, Dad!" Sparrow says as he drinks his Gatorade.

"You did awesome!" Maddie says as she cheers Sparrow happily.

"Yeah! You killed it out there!" Tyde says making Sparrow smile.

"Thank you Maddie and Uncle Tyde!" Sparrow says with a big smile.

"You make baseball look so easy! I couldn't even hit a ball until a few years ago!" Korey says making Sparrow laugh.

"Do you guys wanna go out to eat?" Tyler asks Sparrow and Archer making both of them smile.

"Yes, please! Can we get In-N-Out?" Sparrow asks, and Archer nods happily.

Both of them being Californians, they love In-N-Out, which is a fast food place!

Since it was a celebration of the Cubs winning and the baseball game in general, Tyler decides to let them get special food.

"Sure! We don't have that often!" Tyler says in agreement, making both kids cheer.

"And because they always have a huge line!" Archer says as he laughs.

"Let's go then! Korey, Troye, Tyde and Maddie, do you all want to join us?" Tyler asks Korey, Troye, Tyde and Maddie.

"Yeah!" Archer and Sparrow both say in unison with big cheeky smiles at Korey, Troye, Tyde and Maddie.

"Sure!" Maddie and Tyde both say in unison with big smiles.

"I'd love to!" Korey says as he rubs Tyler back since he and Tyler didn't want to hold hands in front of the boys yet.

"Dad! Are you coming?" Sparrow asks Troye.

"Yeah, Dad! Are you coming?" Archer asks Troye.

Troye wanted to go home to do some work, but instead he always puts his boys first.

"Sure! I'll come!" Troye says making Archer and Sparrow's both cheer.

Tyler, Archer, Sparrow, Tyde, Maddie and Troye all go get In-N-Out and enjoy hanging out together!

Archer and Sparrow of course asked for fries lite, while everyone else got normally cooked fries.

Sparrow burps loudly making Archer laugh loudly.

"Boys are so gross!" Maddie says playfully making Sparrow and Archer giggle again.

"What do you say?" Tyler says to Sparrow and Archer making sure they use their manners.

"Excuse me!" Sparrow says as he smiles and wipes his face off.

"Excuse me!" Archer says as he smiles.

Sparrow, Archer, Troye, Maddie, Tyde and Tyler all have lunch and talk together until they have to go home! :)
