Chapter 6

Batman's Pov
I rode on top of Joker's car as he sped through the night. I heard yelling and screaming coming from the car. I could hear Harley's voice. That made it worse. I didn't want to take her away, that's the last thing I wanted to do. But it was my job, it was what I was committed to.
The the car sped towards a bridge with water beneath it. I heard Harley yell something. I jumped off of the car and they bursted through the bridge and plummeted into the water.
I stood up and watched the car sink. I sighed then I jumped in. I swam to the bottom and found Harley. She had gone through the window. The Joker was nowhere to be seen.
I started to grab Harley until she swung at me with a shard of glass. I punched her in the face. I felt bad for doing it but it was the only way to keep her calm.
I grabbed her and brought her back up to the surface. I carried her to the batmobile. He long hair hung from her head and swung every step I took. I looked down at her while she was knocked out. He was so beautiful that I almost thought about letting her go again. But I couldn't, I had to take her in. I laid her on the hood of my car. She wasn't waking up. I decided to do cpr on her.
I pressed my lips against her and performed cpr. Then I felt her hand move to the back of my hand and pulled me closer. I enjoyed the kiss for about a second then pulled away. She laughed then I picked her up and put her in the back of the batmobile.
I got in and started driving. She sat up and poked her head in beside mine.
"Oh Batty," she said, "are we going on a romantic get away?"
"Sure," I said, "let's go with that."
"Where?" She asked, placing her hand on my thigh.
"You're not going to trick me this time," I said, picking up her hand and moving it away.
"What do ya mean?" She asked.
"I know last time was just a trick," I said, "to get me into bed."
She laughed, "You thought that? I never thought it was going to go that far! I never thought I would ever kiss you in my life! I just had a little crush on you that's all."
"That's all going to change," I said.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because I'm taking you to Akrham," I said.
She leaned back and frowned. Then her face lit up and she smiled. She lied down across the seats and put her feet up on the window.
"Ya know it's a good thing I'm going there," she said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I'm crazy," she said, "love is what made me crazy."
