Chapter 8: Baby Shower

A few hours after delivering the heir child, Megatron and Firestar have decided to celebrate as they both have invited all the Decepticons over to their place to welcome their newborn son, Orion Eclipse, to the empire. Many have offered gifts while also wanting to meet the child for the first time just to see how cute and precious the infant was. Dreadwing and Skyquake welcomed Orion Eclipse and they addressed him as their future lord and master while also promising Megatron and his queen that they shall protect their son and train Orion Eclipse in the ways of being a Decepticon while also teaching him to combat and fly like a jet. Breakdown and Knockout volunteered to be Orion Eclipse's guardians as well to which Megatron accepts before he gives Starscream a job he never wanted or asked for: becoming a sparklingsitter (a babysitter if you will) to Orion Eclipse.

One by one, a couple of Decepticons have met the newborn son of Megatron and Firestar before one Decepticon general, in particular, named Doomsayer decided to show up to meet baby Orion Eclipse as well. Of course, Megatron doesn't trust Doomsayer, given how much of an abusive ex-boyfriend he was to Knockout and that he's both evil, power-hungry, and sadistic, so he warns Doomsayer to keep away from his son. But Doomsayer insists that he meets Megatron's newborn son so that he acknowledges him as the future ruler of the Decepticons while also pointing out that he was also invited to the baby shower. Megatron glares at Doomsayer, but Firestar calms down her husband before they at least allow Doomsayer to admire their sparkling. Doomsayer smiles at Orion Eclipse before he leaves after noticing the negative and uncomfortable looks that both Knockout and Breakdown are giving him.

After a while, Megatron gently holds up his son and then he presents Orion Eclipse to his Decepticon army as his rightful heir to the throne which makes both Starscream and Doomsayer jealous and angry. The Decepticons cheered for the son of Megatron before the party ends. Later that night, Megatron and Firestar bring their sparkling back to their quarters aboard the Nemesis before they tucked their son into bed. Megatron couldn't keep his eyes off of Orion Eclipse and Firestar couldn't help but smile proudly at both her conjunx-endura and son. Megatron hopes that one day his son would succeed him and win the war for Cybertron and that he and the Decepticons would be victorious.

After Megatron and Firestar talked to each other about their plans for the future, they kissed their son goodnight before they sleep onto their berth together. Meanwhile, Knockout went to visit his partner, Breakdown, and the hammer-wielding Decepticon invites his conjunx-to-be over to his room where he privately shares with him the good news: they're going to have a baby. Knockout's optics widened with shock before they were forming tears, and yet the red Decepticon medic couldn't believe that it is even possible for a mech to become sparked (pregnant if you will) with an unborn sparkling developing in his tank. Nonetheless, Breakdown and Knockout embraced each other with such joy at becoming parents to their unborn child. Not only will they be guardians to Orion Eclipse, but he will get to meet their own sparkling.

One year later, Optimus Prime and his conjunx-endura, Elita One, welcomed their newborn daughter, Altair Comet, who is a year younger than Orion Eclipse and possibly the same age as Wildbreak, and the Autobots were happy about their leader having a family in Iacon City while they were also concerned about the Great War for Cybertron that's happening right now and how it may affect Optimus and his family as the years go by. But will Megatron's son and Optimus's daughter grow up as future leaders one day and then unite the Autobots and the Decepticons to hopefully end the war between the two? Only time will tell in the future.
