The Event

ElARA BLACKTHORNE'S POV

"It has been a considerable amount of time since the last occasion our paths intertwined, Lyra," I address the ethereal being who stands before me, her graceful presence emanating a sense of pure beauty and tranquility. Her resplendent, alabaster wings, which are the epitome of elegance and magnificence, are unfurled from her back, gracefully accentuating her already stunning appearance. The way her wings shimmer and gleam in the light, casting a soft glow around her, reminds me of the gentle beauty of a clear night sky, when the stars shine bright and twinkle like diamonds in the dark.

Standing upon a lofty platform before the castle, observing the gathering of the citizenry below. Suddenly, her gaze meets mine, and she addresses me, "Elara, it seems that you have not yet relinquished your human attributes. Though you walk among us immortals, the passing of time holds no weight for our kind. To us, a mere century is but a fleeting moment. Nonetheless, it is good to see you again, Elara."

"Indeed, I doth doubt that she shall alter her ways any time soon. unlike ourselves, akin to thee, Lyra, who hath been eternal since the dawn of time, the notion of an inevitable end doth always loom, although it may no longer hold significance," declared Thorne with his odd way of speaking.

I shift my gaze upon the towering figure before me, it is impossible to ignore the striking features that make him stand out among all of us. The first thing that catches my eye is his fiery mane, cascading down his broad shoulders like molten lava. It is as if his hair is ablaze, with tendrils of flame dancing wildly in the wind. The sheer intensity of his gaze, as he stares back at me with eyes that seem to pierce through my very soul, only serves to further emphasize his otherworldly presence.

But it is not just his hair and piercing gaze that set him apart from the rest of us. No, it is his towering height, which is so great that it makes him undoubtedly the tallest among us, if not in the entire world. He stands with a commanding presence as if he is a force of nature in human form. His broad shoulders, like pillars of strength, are a testament to the sheer power that resides within him.

And yet, as remarkable as his current height may be, it pales in comparison to the unfathomable magnitude he can achieve when he unleashes his true form. For in those moments, he transforms into a being of such immense size and power that he becomes the very embodiment of a titan. His height reaches astronomical levels, making him seem like a colossus that could touch the sky. It is a sight to behold, one that leaves onlookers awestruck and humbled in the face of such raw power.

"I shall forever remain unaltered, a constant reminder of my humanity. The prospect of aging and eventual mortality holds no significance for me, yet it serves as a poignant reminder of my origins as a human being."

Unexpectedly, a voice behind me exclaimed, "Well, well, well, what have we here? And I was under the impression that I would be the first one here."

As I turned around swiftly, my eyes landed on the familiar form of Eira Shadowhunter - a loyal companion who, just like Lyra, had been by her Highness's side since the very beginning. Eira's long, crimson locks flowed down her back in a mesmerizing cascade, reflecting the light in a way that made them seem almost like flames. But it was her piercing, ebony gaze that caught my attention - it bore into me with an intensity that seemed to challenge and dare me all at once.

I tried to take in her otherworldly beauty as my gaze was suddenly drawn to the nine tails that sprouted from her form, moving behind her like a mesmerizing dance. Each tail was long and slender, and as they swished about gracefully, they seemed to glow with a strange, ethereal light that sent shivers down my spine.

She was draped in an enchanting piece of clothing, a kimono that took my breath away. It was not just any ordinary kimono, it was an extraordinary piece of art that seemed to have come alive. The intricate details on the fabric were stunningly beautiful and perfectly blended in harmony, like two lovers in an endless dance.

The colors on the kimono were a sight to behold, a mesmerizing mixture of scarlet and onyx. The shades of red were so vivid, so passionate, that they evoked a feeling of warmth and intensity that could not be ignored. It was as though the fiery hue was alive, bursting with energy and passion, igniting the fire within me.

On the other hand, the black hue was deep and mysterious, a perfect contrast to the vibrant red. It was as if the black was a void that could swallow everything around it, yet it exuded a sense of elegance and grace that was hard to ignore. The two colors danced and mingled with each other, creating a beautiful symphony that was a feast for the eyes.

With an imposing aura that commanded attention, Draven and Magnus followed closely behind her, their every step exuding confidence and authority. Magnus, in particular, radiated an unmistakable air of intellect as he strode forward with purpose, his eyes fixed on the path ahead.

Despite his somewhat shorter stature compared to the rest of us, standing at a respectable height of at least five feet ten, Magnus remained undaunted, his diminutive size belying his remarkable presence. His gait was measured and deliberate, as if every step he took was imbued with a deeper meaning.

Indeed, it was difficult not to be impressed by Magnus's demeanor, which seemed to suggest that he was a man of great intelligence and formidable intellect. He carried himself with an air of quiet confidence, his sharp eyes taking in everything around him with a discerning gaze.

As Draven marched ahead, his customary armor resounded with each step, echoing through the unforgiving floor. It was impossible not to notice the imposing figure in his heavy armor, which seemed to be a part of him. One might wonder if the armor held a deeper meaning for him, for he never seemed to shed its weighty presence whenever he crossed paths with others.

A fresh voice chimed in, "Oh, how thrilling! When was the last occasion we convened in this manner?"

As I turned my attention to the new speaker, it became clear that none other than Gwyneth Silverblade, a high elf of striking beauty, was the one addressing us. She had been in the company of Her Highness ever since my arrival, her cascading blonde tresses, emerald eyes, and gracefully pointed ears lending an ethereal quality to her appearance.

"Ha! The world is at last poised to transform! This dull existence shall shift with the awakening of Her Majesty!" exclaimed Thorne, with a visage brimming with excitement.

Eira's eyebrows furrowed as Thorne's shout jogged her memory. "I was just thinking to myself why I hadn't visited you before," she said, her tone laced with disgust. "But now I remember. Your obsession with brawn is precisely why I avoid coming to visit. I fear that my mental acuity would be jeopardized if I were to subject myself to it."

Thorne's retort came swift, laced with a tinge of admiration. "Verily, Eira, it doth appear that thy razor-sharp wit hath not dulled with the passage of time."

"I am who I am, and no foolishness can ever alter that immutable fact."

Lyra's voice carried a commanding tone as she interjected, "Cease this bickering at once! You two should be well aware that such petty arguments are unsuitable in the presence of Her Highness. Is that perfectly clear?"

They nod while Gwyneth glanced around and remarked, " Speaking of which, if I'm not mistaken, her Majesty ought to have arrived by now."

Lyra nodded affirmatively. "While it's true that she should have arrived by now, I've just received a telepathic message from Evangeline. Apparently, her Highness has made the decision to walk here instead of using the faster method of teleportation. Her brilliance truly knows no bounds. By doing so, she's giving us more time to gather and prepare. So, it's time to put an end to this pointless bickering, everyone."

As the present moment unfurls before our very eyes, each individual's physical appearance exudes an undeniable sense of profound reverence, admiration, and respect, all of which have been engendered by the words that have just escaped Lyra's lips. The very utterance of her Highness's choice to traverse the distance on foot instead of the more expeditious mode of teleportation has left an indelible impression upon us all.

For it has allowed us ample time to make the necessary arrangements and make suitable preparations to receive her Highness in a manner befitting of her esteemed stature. The implications of this decision are not lost on us, for it demonstrates her Highness's humility, her appreciation for the finer details, and her desire to connect with her subjects in a manner that is both personal and sincere. Such actions only serve to reinforce our admiration and respect for her Highness, and it is this very sentiment that is reflected in our current disposition.

"Truly, there seems to be no limit to the breadth of Her Highness's foresight." Magnus declares with an admirable look.

"Let us commence our preparations, for all are gathered here in attendance," Lyra declared. "The remaining four are either distantly situated or preoccupied with matters of great import. Thus, the onus falls upon us to ready ourselves for the arrival of Her Highness."

As we stood there, gazing at one another, united by a common goal, we acknowledged our agreement with a synchronized nod. With a sense of purpose, we proceeded to allocate ourselves to our individual roles, determined to achieve our collective vision.

Eira, resolute and intrepid, descended into the throng of common folk, determined to carry out her noble mission. She navigated through the bustling crowds, with a clear and focused mind, knowing that her actions would bring about the change we all yearned for.

Meanwhile, the rest of us, fueled by a shared determination, busied ourselves with the tasks that lay ahead. Our aim was to ensure that no detail was overlooked, and no stone left unturned. We issued commands with authority and precision, knowing that each task we completed brought us closer to our goal.

With a sense of urgency, we reached out to skilled individuals, enlisting their aid in installing holographic projections throughout our land. These projections would serve as a visual representation of the radiance and glory of her Highness, visible to all who lay eyes upon them.

As the time drew near, the atmosphere was charged with a sense of excitement and nervous anticipation. All eyes were fixed on the horizon, waiting for the arrival of her Highness. The preparations had been meticulously planned and executed to ensure that everything was perfect for her arrival. The townspeople, who had been preparing for this moment, stood poised with utmost composure, their excitement palpable yet hushed.

The moment was of great significance, and it was clear that everyone present understood its importance. It was a moment that would be etched in their memories forever, and they wanted to make sure that everything was just right. And so, they waited patiently, with bated breath, for the arrival of her Highness.

Meanwhile, high above the crowds, we the 12 Apostles of Strength, the elite group of warriors who had been tasked with guarding and protecting her Highness. we stood in formation, our eyes scanning the crowd below. And then, finally, the moment arrived. The first glimpse of her Highness could be seen in the distance, and the crowds erupted into cheers and applause while we stood at attention, our eyes fixed on her Highness as she made her way towards us.
