On January 22nd, Ash turned 16. On January 22nd, the human race was wiped out forever. On January 23rd, Ash woke up in a jail cell. A mysterious boy about her age visited everyday. He would make the laser grid disappear, and make it reappear when he left. It made no sense. Magic, maybe, Ash thought. One day, he toke her out of the cell. And they ran and ran until they were safe. The animals of the world had taken over, and they were after the magic.
