[9] TOXIC.

MICHAELA CLIMBED out of her window after an hour of staring at nothing. she made her way to fez's house, but when she knocked the door her breath caught in her throat when seeing arvin.

"michaela? how did you know i would be here?" he asked with a grin, if michaela was in a good mood she might of just put up with his smug attitude. but she was far from being in a good mood.

"i'm not here for you asshole." michaela deadpanned as she went to move past him. arvin had other plans though.

michaela was the only person he ever thought of, he was in love with the girl. he couldn't get her off his mind ever since they hooked up again a few nights ago.

before she could walk past him, arvin grabbed her arm forcing michaela to face him. "we need to talk." he started but was immediately shut down by michaela; "no we don't." as she tried to turn away which only caused arvin to tighten his grip.

"about us." arvin raised his voice at the girl, michaela stood there in utter shock until it hit her. arvin loved her, in the same way she loved rue.

"we aren't lovers arvin." michaela spat as she ripped her arm out of his grasp. "what? you think just because we've had sex i want to be your girlfriend?" she laughed dryly, "now, let me get my fucking drugs and leave me the hell alone."

pain was the only thing arvin was feeling at the moment as he watched michaela starting to walk away. he felt used but was clearly blinded by his love for her. something in him snapped after she spoke to him that way, "don't know what i was thinking, a drug addict like you? you don't even know what love is." arvin spat his words laced with venom.

michaela carried on walking as she heard every word he said, she had no verbal reply, she simply stuck her middle finger out at him and found fez in the kitchen.

"mic? yo what you doin' here?" fez asked, "you got my usual?" michaela asked not making any eye contact, fez didn't reply instead he rummaged through his cupboard pulling out a brown bag.

"be careful mic." was all fez said as he handed her the package, "don't go soft on me fez." she chuckled dryly as she shoved the bag in her pocket. "na i care 'bout you, n i know rue does too."

michaela had no reply, she walked out of the door ignoring both fez and arvin as she made her way to a run down motel lot.

MADDY SAW HER SISTER, she looked rough as she sat on a brick wall smoking a blunt. maddy was actually grabbing some drinks off of nate to bring back to the girls.

but as of right now, michaela came first.

maddy didn't say a word to her sister, she simply sat next to her looking ahead at the parking lot. michaela didn't need to turn her head to know who was beside her.

"why're you here." she asked taking another hit of the blunt, "what happened with rue earlier?" maddy ignored her sister asking another question.

"doesn't matter."

but maddy didn't believe that, "i know you love her." maddy said, michaela was about to make a comment but maddy then continued; "if you're going to deny it because you think i will judge you, you're wrong."

michaela sighed, her and maddy loved eachother, but they never had deep conversations. especially not about who michaela may or may not be in love with.

"doesn't matter how i feel anyways." michaela replied, she had denied her feeling for rue and rejected her because she was too scared.

"she loves you back, you'd have to be blind to not see it." maddy reassured but michaela knew she wasn't good for rue.

"i'm toxic for her, a relationship full of toxicity isn't healthy for two addicts." michaela answers as she came near the end of her blunt.

"or maybe a relationship like that could help two people trying to be people they want to be."

michaela didn't doubt maddy's words, she doubted herself. "i can't stop maddy, i can't just become someone i'm not."

maddy stared at her sister as she listened to her words, she didn't understand what she was going through at all, but she knew she needed rue.
