Being gone for two weeks, Lin Yiyi felt especially happy about being home again.

Plus, so much has happened in the last two weeks, even though she has been away overseas…

In addition, “Hot Moms and Caring Dads”, Chanel 2’s parent-child show, that had been pegged to Meng Yan with all its publicity, started airing today.

This show would be filmed and aired at the same time. There had already been leaks that they were already filming the second season at a certain location a few days ago.

The entire family gathered in the living room to watch TV after they had woken up from their naps and had dinner. 

Ms. Lin Ping switched to “Hot Moms and Caring Dads” and started enjoying it. 

As she was watching, she even emphasized that, “My Shanshan was almost on this show!”

Lin Yiyi casted her a glance. “I thought you were the one who didn’t want her to be in it.”

Her Majesty pouted unhappily and said, “That all depends on who she’d be on the show with. I wouldn’t be happy if she’s on the show with someone that I don’t care for.”

“Yes, mother, you are always right…”

As long as you are happy.

Unsurprisingly, the show “Hot Moms and Caring Dads” was a very successful show.

The premise of the show was already quite appealing, plus there had been a lot of advertising prior to the airing of the show. In addition, Meng Yan and Lin Yiyi have appeared on the Top Searches a few times and the show, pegged to Meng Yan, also gained quite a bit of exposure with the public because of that.

The show was practically popular before it was even aired.

Looking at it from this perspective, Meng Yan seemed to have missed out on it.

Meng Yan, returning after his work was completed overseas, planned to rest for a few days at home. 

Knowing that he was returning, Zhang Xiying, who had been busy with her own work, quickly took a little bit of time off with her filming crew to go home and spend the night with him. 

The couple had been busy ever since their honeymoon; this was a rare instance for them. 

That was also why many actors/actresses tended not to pick someone in the same field as their partners. Unless, of course, one of them started fading out of the entertainment circle and becoming a full-time housewife…

It was mainly because there was no set time in the acting industry. It was natural for one to be away for months during filming. And that would create situations where one was finally back from their work, but the other one was still stuck filming with the crew. Or that when one was back, the other one had already left for their next assignment.

Zhang Xiying’s career has been trending upward. Plus, being with Meng Yan, her resources had been growing. Many directors think of her positively and feel that she has a lot of potential. She, too, was reluctant to give up what she had that was difficult to come by. She wasn’t willing to give up on her career.

In addition, Meng Yan was quite supportive of her as well.

Lin Yiyi was an example of someone who had given up on her career in the entertainment circle after she had gotten married. On top of that, she was from a well-off family and could still spend as much as she wanted even without working. That led to her subsequently focusing all of her time and energy onto Meng Yan. 

It was quite horrid to be the center of attention of another person for 24 hours and not even have a moment of one’s own time. 

But now, when he returned to his Haijing Mansion, it was cold and quiet, with nobody there.

He thought he’d very much enjoy the freedom of being alone…

When he picked this mansion, he wanted a quiet place that was a distance from the bustling city. But now, he started to wonder if it was a little too quiet.

If it was quiet even in the day time, what about at night?

He had taken a nap the afternoon that he returned for the jetlag. When he woke up, the entire mansion was dark and eerily quiet.

At that moment in time, he couldn’t help but remember that last time he had visited the Lin’s mansion. There were lights coming from behind Lin Yiyi and Shanshan, and boisterous sounds that could be heard from the front door.  Laughter could be heard coming from inside of the house.
