(52) She Totally Had The Wrong Guy!

Lu Xun was quite surprised.

This was a member’s only club. Privacy aside, it was also rare that one would run into someone who’d behave so improperly.

But now, he started to have doubts.

He lifted his brows and saw the woman sitting down in front of him.

“It's like this. You might not be aware, but I've already been married once. I also have two children. My daughter is only six, and my older son is thirteen,” the woman said.

Lu Xun remained silent for a little bit and suddenly chuckled.

Her attempt to strike up a conversation… was so unique!

At the same time, Lin Yiyi was baffled by his words as well.

What did he mean by that?

Did her family leave out his marriage history and the children part as well?

Or, was he only teasing her because he wasn’t happy that her family had left that part out…?

Right at that moment, her phone rang.

Just when she was feeling awkward and debating if she should ask follow up questions about the status of his ex-wife and children, a well-timed call saved her like a hall pass.

Lin Yiyi didn’t even look at the caller ID before she picked up the phone. A man’s clear voice came from the other end of the phone, “Miss Lin, I just want to see where you are at right now.”

Lin Yiyi, “……”

She quickly pulled the phone away from her ear and took a look at the caller ID before she immediately looked towards the club’s engraved front door.

A young man with a fairly decent aura had just walked in through the door.

He took a look around the few tables in the room, and his sight barely lingered at the only two tables that were seated.

The tall, dark, and handsome man she was supposed to meet was quite punctual.

He was neither early nor late. His timing was perfect; not even a second off!

Lin Yiyi didn’t expect that she’d stumble so badly and embarrassed herself so much on her very first blind date.

She totally had the wrong guy!

She was stunned by her own mistake!

She gripped onto her cellphone tightly, took a deep breath, and asked incredulously, “If you are not the Mr. Lu that I am here to meet, why didn’t you say so?”

He just let her ramble on about her family background in front of him. Why would he do such a thing?

The man sitting in front of her casually picked up his coffee and took a sip. With a smile in his eyes, he answered, “But I am Mr. Lu.”

It was clear what he meant by that.

It was her fault that she had mistaken him for someone else, not his.

Lin Yiyi, “……”

If there was a hole in the ground right now, she would quite readily stick her head inside right about now.

After going through such an embarrassing moment as taking the wrong man as her date, she really didn’t feel like doing this blind date thing all over again, nor did she have the courage to repeat what she had said earlier about her marriage history and her two children.

And then, there was this man in front of her……

Even though she was the one who made the mistake, for some odd reason, she still blamed him for the incident.

She stood up abruptly. Through gritted teeth, she spat one word at a time, “Pardon me. My mistake.”

“Don’t mention it,” the man said in a low voice.

His tolerating mannerism, plus the slight smile that he had on him the entire time, made him seem all the more gentlemanly.

Lin Yiyi turned and walked away.

As she was walking, she hadn’t forgotten to send the tall, dark, and handsome man a short text stating that something came up at the last minute and she wasn’t going to be able to make it.

She wasn’t going to meet up with him anytime soon.

That was way too embarrassing!

After she had gotten back into her car, she sat inside for quite a bit.

It was only after she had completely calmed down that she remembered the buddha that was waiting for her words at home…

She wondered what Lin Ping would say when she found out about the failed blind date? She rubbed her forehead as a headache was beginning to form.
