(167) This Is All Your Fault!

After dinner, Shanshan whispered to her mother, “I think Big Brother Zhe is better than big brother.”

The little girl made a proposition. “Mommy, can we switch the two of them?”

Lin Yiyi was baffled.

Was this the power of the plotline?

What exactly had that kid Lu Mingzhe done to her little daughter??

As such, Lu Xun, who thought he had provided amazing service, didn’t earn any brownie points with Lin Yiyi.

Lu Xun felt so unjust that he almost wanted to touch his fingers together…

Lin Yiyi made Meng Shanshan go take a shower, then she messaged Meng Yuran through WeChat: Did you know that you’ve made your sister unhappy? She thinks Zhe is a better brother than you.

In the room over.

Meng Yuran picked up his phone and looked when he heard WeChat’s notification and his face dropped immediately.

Then again, his face has been dark all day long. Meng Shanshan was already used to it.

Lu Mingzhe walked out of the bathroom and was going to give Meng Yuran a heads up about the hot water heater, but one look at him and he pursed his lips and decided against it.

Somehow he felt that his effort would not be appreciated the way he had imagined

Meng Yuran’s bad mood continued into the next day.

On their way back, Meng Shanshan had a bag of candies in her hand. She was going to kindly offer some to her brother but all her brother gave her was the angry back of his head…

She pouted and decided against offering to him!

Suddenly, a hand came out of nowhere and took away her bag of candies…

Why was it that everybody would bully a cute child like her?

Meng Shanshan abruptly turned toward Lu Mingzhe. Immediately, there were tears in her eyes.

“Too many candies is bad for you.” Lu Mingzhe pulled out a bag of beef jerky made by one of his nannies and said, “Have this instead.”

Meng Shanshan immediately retrieved her tears that were about to roll down her cheeks and broke out into a bright smile. Her voice is delicate and shy, “Thank you, Big Brother Zhe.”

The little girl was so docile and so cute…

The young man was appeased.

Meng Yuran was mainly mad at himself.

Low and behold, Lin Yiyi, who had been paying attention to what was going on in the back seat, happened to witness the scene. She got upset too.

In the end, she took it out on the one who was driving.

Noticing the anxious look coming from next to him, Lu Xun glanced over at her and asked, “What’s the matter?”

“This is all your fault!”

Yes! She was taking it out on him!

Lu Xun, “??????”

The whole family was happy during this short trip, except for Lin Yiyi and Meng Yuran.

Ms. Lin Ping and Mr. Gu Chengyi were quite pleased. Pleased about the trip and also pleased about Lu Xun.

When these two were pleased, that meant the rest of the family had been represented.

Lu Xun wanted to ask Lin Yiyi out before he took off, but before he had a chance to say anything, Lin Yiyi beat him to it. Dragging her daughter with her, she quickly pulled away… from Lu Mingzhe who was standing next to him.

The uncle and nephew duo exchanged a look with each other.

They had both noticed the resentment toward them.

Another new week, a new day, and a new beginning.

The rumors from the week before had just died down and Lin Yiyi also had others looking into the incident. The few media companies that were being sued were still hanging in there by their teeth, but the court subpoenas had already been delivered.

This should have been a good day, but another rumor pushed Lin Yiyi up onto the most trended list again.

Shocking! The CEO of Shengshi and Lin Yiyi are secretly dating!

The first one who posted about it was an experienced paparazzi, nicknamed Brother Spill…

Brother Spill was like a deep undercover agent inside the entertainment circle with eyes and ears all over the place.

Words had it that many stars with solid backing would pay him for the information that he was able to dig up. Naturally, most of the time, Brother Spill was more willing to publish these news for attention.

It wasn’t like he needed any more money.
