Lin Yiyi immediately put on her docile front. “He was always coming over to have dinner at our place. I have to give him a chance to repay me.”

“How come you didn’t invite him in?” asked Mr. Gu all of a sudden.

Ms. Lin Ping gave Mr. Gu a stare for having interjected into their conversation aggressively.

Then, she lifted her prideful chin and said, “Yeah, are we that scary that he is too afraid to even come inside?”
