Shortly after that came Lu Xun’s fierce voice, “And you are not to mention this to anyone else, ever!”

He would never dare let anyone know that their CEO would lose his mind from time to time!

Executive Assistant Zhou’s lips twitched a little. He stared at the phone for a while and finally let out a sigh of relief when he was certain that the CEO wasn’t going to call back with other crazy ideas.

In the middle of the night, Ms. Lin Ping snuck inside the bedroom.

The light by the bed was flipped on abruptly.

Ms. Lin Ping walked over to the bed and plopped down on it before she slowly started talking. “I thought about it some more afterward.” She gave Lin Yiyi a look.

Still baffled, Lin Yiyi waited for her to carry on.

“You said that Lu Xun only came here for free meals. Do you really believe that?”

No way she’d buy that!

Who’d believe that a young man wasn’t interested in a young woman when he suddenly started hanging out around her?

Lin Ping might have been overseas, but Housekeeper Zhang had been reporting back to her daily.

She knew that the Lu guy had been coming over frequently and had been sending over fish or other items frequently as well.

His intention was so obvious! Her daughter was probably the only fool who had failed to notice that!

Lin Yiyi recalled Lu Xun’s excitement over the dinner table and nodded without a shred of doubt in her mind. “I do.”

He was nothing but a foodie. What else could it possibly be?!

She finally realized where the problem was!

Lin Yiyi blinked. She didn’t know what to think.

“I don’t believe that you’d just let him take advantage of you like that if you aren’t fond of him at all.”

“He wasn’t really taking advantage of me. We are just talking about a couple of dinners…” Lin Yiyi mumbled.

This was the first time she had such a straightforward conversation about love affairs.

Through her two lives, there had never been any older females in her life helping her analyze her emotions with their experiences.

She gave her daughter a meaningful look and said, “Anyways, try spending some time and think it through on your own.”
