Meng Yan didn’t even think that Xiying's incident has anything to do with the production team or the investors.

This was just the way of the entertainment circle. There might be an agreement, but as long as the contract hasn’t been signed, one just might be replaced the very next day. Perhaps there was someone more popular than you or someone who was more fitting for the role, or that one of the investors wanted to add a specific person into the set.

All in all, anything could happen.

Unless one has high enough status, was well-known, has a lot of fans, and great backing, it was only then that others might give it a second thought.

Otherwise, one could be a tier-one actor but could still be swapped out in the blink of an eye. There weren’t a lot of repercussions.
