Lin Yiyi was certainly curious about an entertainment company of this size.

Ever since she had walked inside the front lobby downstairs, she had seen quite a few individuals that looked familiar.

Most of them were pretty faces that she had seen on screen before and then there were the ones who possessed truly solid acting skills…

With so many pretty faces walking around, even the company itself seemed much more glamorous.

Lu Xun first took them to tour the Film and TV Drama Investment and Production Department.

This was also the department that was responsible for the assessments and production of the materials pertaining to the cooperation of the two companies.

As the producer of the new film, Lu Xun had handed over the early preparation work to Manager Xiang of this department.

Noticing that she had been called out, Xiang Liuyue quickly walked over and started explaining her work to Lin Yiyi.

A group of their size was pretty intimidating no matter where they went.

That and the big boss was also with them. Everywhere they went, all the employees were extra careful and cautious.

Someone saw them from afar and stopped to look. After a little while, she was startled that the woman standing next to their big boss was Lin Yiyi!

Technically speaking, this person was Lin Yiyi’s former agent, Mei Zhi. Most others referred to her respectfully as Mei-jie. 

That was also how Lin Yiyi used to refer to her.

Mei-jie had only recently left her previous company and came over to Shengshi Entertainment. She had a few actors/actresses under her wing but so far none of them had become a superstar.

If she must say, Lin Yiyi was arguably the most famous one of all the actors/actresses that she had groomed.

Back when Lin Yiyi was never able to rise and shine and remained a third-tier actress at best, she had long since given up on her.

Sure, Lin Yiyi was pretty, but without acting skills and popularity, it was all moot.

Lin Yiyi had, somehow, returned well prepared and became very famous all of a sudden. And now she even owned her own film company. The change between before and after was quite drastic.

Mei-jie only wished she had known about Lin Yiyi’s background back then, but it was all for naught now.

After the group had finished touring Shengshi Entertainment, Lin Yiyi noticed that all the managers and employees that had been accompanying them on their best behaviour were inadvertently showing signs of weariness. She had Tao Jiahui take off first and bring the others with her.

Seeing that, Lu Xun also waved his hand and had the others return to their own posts and take care of their own businesses.

Then, he took the elevator with Lin Yiyi and headed with her to the top floor to show her around his office.

Seeing that the two of them were gone, the employees who had been on their best behaviors resumed their desire to gossip stealthily.

“Did you see that? I have never seen the big boss paying so much attention to a business associate.”

“With all my years of experience in gossiping, I am sure there is something going on between the two of them!”

“How exactly did Lin Yiyi hook up with our boss?”

“I am familiar with the Investment and Production Department. Let me go over there in a bit and see what I can find out.”

They were so engaged in their exchange that they didn’t even notice a few workers from the Strategy Department had walked past them.

One really couldn’t blame Zhang Xiying for thinking that Lin Yiyi had a hand in everything. Everything seemed like coincidences, but how could there be so many coincidences in life?

Was it because she married Meng Yan?

But Meng Yan and Lin Yiyi were divorced a long time ago. Even if Meng Yan didn’t end up with her, it’d be someone else. There was no reason for Lin Yiyi to hold grudges against her.

That was so vindictive of her!
