Christmas/Christmas eve

"Nightmare?" Cross asked.

"Yes?" Asked Corrupted.

"Can I ask you a question?" Asked Cross.

Corrupted chuckled. "Of course."

"What is Christmas?" He asked. "Blue has been very excited and when I asked him why, he said that it was almost Christmas." Cross explained.

Corrupted looked at him with amusement. "Then why didn't you ask him?" He asked.

Cross' face lit up with a light purple blush. "I-I just thought that I was asking to many questions, and that you wouldn't mind answering it." He said sheepishly.

Corrupted chuckled again. His tentacles froze as he thought of the best way to explain it to Cross. "Christmas can mean different things to different people. For some it's the birth of light and for others it a day of celebration, and being with family. It really depends on how you want to take it." He explained.

Cross nodded as he took in the information. "Thanks Night." He said softly as he wondered about this 'Christmas' thing more. Corrupted smiled, so did Nightmare.

"Wake up!" "It's Christmas." "Get Up!" Blue was an even bigger ball of energy today. He had gotten out of his room and was now trying to wake up everyone at the same time, while singing what Cross guessed was Christmas music.

"Nightmare wake up!" He said to the skeleton sleeping outside of Cross' room.

"Cross! Wake up! Wake up! WAKE UP!" Blue was shaking Cross violently. Cross sat up and was about to ask what was going on, but Blue got out of there as fast as he got it.

"Lust wake up! Red! Classic!" He yelled into his room. Everyone grunted or made a noise of irritation.

"Horror! Killer! Outer! Dust! Wake up! Wake up!" He yelled into the third room. He was greeted by a variety of weapons being thrown at him which he quickly dodged and moved on.

"Ink! Drea— ohhh. You're already awake?" He asked.

Dream looked happy, but Ink looked agitated. "Of course we are with all your yelling." Ink glared at him.

Blue rubbed the back of his skull embarrassedly. "Merry Christmas Blue." Dream said as he hugged Ink from behind. Ink huffed, but laid back into him.

Blue smiled. "Merry Christmas." He ran away to presumably go and wake up everyone else.

Ink growled. Dream laughed. "Come on let's go." He said.
————————————————————
Nightmare groaned. He walked about two feet into the room before he gave up and fell on the floor. Cross laughed. He went and dragged Nightmare to his bed, which proved to be a challenge since Nightmare weighed pretty much the same as Cross.

"Mmmm- thanks." Nightmare mumbled as he drifted off to sleep. Cross chuckled.

"Blue's not gonna like that."
————————————————————
"Dust!" Blue whisper screamed. Lust, Dream, Cross and Ink were the only ones who actually woke up. He decided to leave Red and Classic alone since they looked so peaceful. He had tried to wake up Horror, Killer, but they would attack him. He also didn't want to bother Outer since he did not sleep well in the first place.

There was only one left. He knew Dust had a soft spot for him, and he knew it was safe if he bugged him.

"Dust wake up." Blue whispered.

Dust took the blankets off of himself and turned to look at Blue. He gently stroked Blue's cheek. "You're so cute." He said sleepily. Blue blushed deeply. "But I'm tired. Good night." He said as he pulled the covers over himself again.

Blue groaned. "Please wake up!" Blue pleaded. He proceeded to pry the blankets off of Dust.

Dust whined. "No let me sleep." He tried to get the blankets back to no avail. He thought of a great idea. He grabbed Blue and held him close as they laid together.

He took the blanket out of Blue's grip and laid it over both of them.

"No. It's Christmas. I'm supposed to be awake." He whined as he tried to get away. Dust just hugged him tighter, as sleep took him over. Blue sighed in defeat, as he melted into Dust.

Cross stared in awe as Epic put up a large tree in the middle of the cafeteria.

"It's a Christmas tree." Explained Dream. Cross didn't react and kept staring at it.

"Do you want to help us decorate it?" Asked Lust. He was holding a bundle of string lights. Cross nodded excitedly.

They started to put ornaments on the tree along with the lights. After they were done they took a break at the seats. "So what do we do with it?" Asked Cross.

They all looked at him confusedly. "What do we do with what?" Ink asked.

"The tree." Said Cross enthusiastically.

"Ohh it's just for decoration." Said Dream.

"Decoration? Why?" Asked Cross.

"Well on Christmas you put gifts under it and then you open them so it's like a Christmas tradition." Explained Ink.

Cross nodded curiosity. "Strange." He muttered. "Well what else do you do on Christmas?" He asked.

They thought for a while. "We can make ginger bread houses." Said Ink. Dream nodded excitedly.

"I wonder if they are ready." Said Lust.

Cross was lost in thought thinking about what they just said. "Cross!" Lust yelled. Cross flinched. "Sorry." Lust whispered.
"I was just going to ask if you want to come with us." Lust said. Cross nodded quickly as he stood up.

They walked to the kitchen.
————————————————————
"Now put them in the oven." Said Farm.

"I know what to do NOW I just didn't know how to make ginger bread, that's all." Said Sci annoyedly.

Farm laughed. "Sorry its just-.................." Farm faltered. "I actually haven't seen you leave the lab in a long time." Said Farm.

Sci shrugged. "Do you sleep there too?"

"Occasionally." He responded.

Then Ink, Dream, Cross and Lust came in. They were a bit confused as to why Sci was there, but shrugged it off.

"Do you guys need the cookies?" Asked Farm. They nodded. Farm walked over to the table and grabbed a large silver tray. It had lots of little stacks that had ginger bread cookies, each stack having six identical pieces. Besides the stacks were bags full of white frosting, and multiple bags of varies different kinds of candy. He handed it to Dream.

"I've only made six for now, but the others should be ready soon." Said Farm. They nodded and started to leave.

"Do you do this every year?" Asked Sci as he carelessly ate a piece of a deformed ginger bread cookie.

Farm nodded happily. "You would have known if you actually left that lab of yours." He said in amusement.

Sci blushed. This was the first time he acted so....careless with someone. It felt great.

Classic held his hand out towards Red. Red regrettably handed him a piece of a sharpened bone.

Classic took it with an apathetic look. He walked towards his bed and took out a small box. Inside were more sharp objects coated with a dried red substance. He nonchalantly put the piece of bone inside and closed the box, as he put it back under his bed.

He walked back towards Red who was crying by now. He hugged him slowly, which Red melted into immediately. He cried into his chest as Classic shed a single tear. "I'm sorry I-" Classic put a finger on his teeth, telling him not to talk.

"I understand" he wrote out. Red sighed. "I love you." He muttered quietly, avoiding Classic's gaze. "I love you too." He slipped the paper under Reds eyes so he could see. They both smiled. Classic held out his hand. Red took it.

Classic led them to the cafeteria. They saw Lust, Dream, Ink and Cross in the distance decorating mini, brown houses.

"Hey guys." Said Dream.

Classic gave a little wave. "Hey." Said Red.

"Did you come to make ginger bread houses?" Asked Dream. Red looked at Classic. Classic nodded. Dream passed them both a stack of materials they may need, and they started building.

Outer and Nightmare were standing quietly in front of the same isolated hospital room. "I think we should go." Said Killer as he put a hand on Nightmare's shoulder. Nightmare nodded. He grabbed the little black box decorated with a blue bow, that was at his feet, and put it against a wall where there was already four other boxes.

He desperately wanted Geno to let him in, but he knew that in the long run it would only make him feel worst. Outer put a hand over his other shoulder. When he turned to look at him Outer gave him a sympathetic look. Nightmare sighed, and started to walk away, Killer and Outer trailing behind.
————————————————————
"Mmm yeah add a lot of those." Said Dust. He had his bandana on since the colors on the tree triggered him. Blue was helping him pick candy to put on his house.

"What about sprinkles?" Asked Blue.

Dust nodded rapidly. Blue smiled. Then a loud noise rang out from the other side of the cafeteria. There were three skeletons on that side. When the timer ran out they all stopped what they were doing. They put some some sort of box on top of whatever was in front of them and carried it to the table that the rest of the skeletons were working on.

They stood in front of their respective boxes proudly eyeing the others that had a box. "Who's going first?" Asked Ink.

Nightmare pointed at Killer. Killer pointed at Nightmare. Cross shrugged. "Killer you're going first." Said Outer. Killer whined, but nodded.

He carefully pulled the box off of the thing that was underneath. Underneath was a very detailed ginger bread house that was about two stories. It had snow on top and Christmas decorations. It even had a small shed on the side, and snow covering the floor.

They all looked at it in amazement. "Okay Nightmare your turn." Said Dream.

Nightmare pulled off the box from his house with a smug smile. Underneath was an even more detailed looking mansion. It was grey and black, with little pieces of gingerbread cut out to make it look like stone. It also had the same decorations for Christmas as Killer's house like snow, lights and a wreath. Killer stared at it, dumbfounded. "How-" is the only thing he could say.

Nightmare laughed. "Okay Cross it's your turn." Said Ink excitedly. Cross slowly took the box off. They all stared at it in disbelief.

It liked like an exact replica of the hospital. It even had a couple of trees surrounding it. "Umm- I think we have a clear winner." Said Dream. He moved behind all of them. On the table behind was Classic.

He had three dioramas. They showed, in clear detail, the first, second and even third floor of the hospital. Dream laid down a ribbon shaped cookie on the table in front of the dioramas. Killer and Nightmare growled in anger. Cross laughed as he tried to convince them not to attack Classic.

Classic handed the second and third floor to Horror, which he downed in less then a minute. He took the first floor for himself and Red.

"It's not fair he always wins." Said Killer. Nightmare agreed.

"Maybe if you guys worked together you could beat him." Said Cross as he giggled.

Nightmare and Killer looked at each other for a moment, before looking away. "No" they said in unison.

Cross laughed again.
————————————————————
Nightmare was once again at the tombstone. He knew Cross would come soon. He always did.

As if on cue Cross came and sat next to Nightmare. He stayed quiet knowing that Nightmare liked to be silent whenever they were here. Today though, Nightmare started the conversation.

"Did you have fun?" Asked Nightmare. He looked at Cross with a genuine smile.

Cross nodded happily. "I've never done anything like this." He said. "Then again I don't really remember much." He chuckled.

Nightmare smiled sympathetically. "I got you a gift." He said. He handed a medium sized white box to Cross. "Well I guess me and Corrupted got it for you." He said.

Cross blushed. "I'm sorry I didn't get you anything." He said frantically.

Nightmare chuckled. "It's okay you barely even knew it was today. Plus I didn't really want anything." He explained.

Cross nodded and opened the box slowly. Inside were small bottles of a light brown liquid.

Cross eyed them curiosity. "It's chocolate milk." Said Nightmare.

Cross took one out and looked at it. It was indeed chocolate milk hence the label that said it was. "Try it." Nightmare said in amusement.

Cross carefully opened the bottle and sipped a bit of the liquid hesitantly. His eyes widened. It tasted just like chocolate. He drank more. He finished about half of it.

Nightmare smiled. 'He looks so cu- NO.' He thought. A single tear went down his cheek bone. He tried to stop it, but failed as a couple more got through.

"Nightmare?" Cross was now sitting in front of him, blocking the tombstone. It made Nightmare even more sentimental. He shed more tears. "Are you okay?"

Nightmare nodded, as more tears escaped his eyes. "No." He stuttered out.

Cross didn't know what to do. What would he want in this situation? Cross hugged him slowly, something that took Nightmare by surprise. Nevertheless he hugged back. He needed this. God he didn't know how much he needed this.

He cried into Cross' shoulder for a while, before he pulled away. He wiped his tears. "I don't want to talk about it." He said.

Cross was a little disappointed that he couldn't get more out of him, but decided that it was a least some progress. He nodded, and they stayed in a loud silence for the rest of the time.
————————————————————-
Chara was sitting on Cross' bed enjoying the chocolate milk. Cross had let him come out just for that reason. He was now sitting on the floor in his ghost form next to Corrupted who was also a ghost.
Nightmare had gone to sleep early.

"Cross can I tell you something?" Asked Corrupted.

Cross nodded calmly. "I know we've only known each other for about 2 months, and that you may not feel the same, but I love you." He said slowly. Cross faltered and was frozen by the statement. "I-I" he started to stutter incoherently.

"Shh it's okay." Corrupted put a finger over Cross' mouth though it just went right through. "All I wanted to do was tell you. It's been eating away at me ever since we met. I also want to ask you a question." He said. Cross was still in shock. Corrupted took a deep breath in.

"Will you be my boyfriend?"
