Battles and death

"That's it" Sci muttered. "They're coming. Right now." He started to breath heavily. Farm rubbed his back to try to comfort him.

"Relax. They've been training for this. And they're all strong." He said. Sci nodded.

He started walking out of the lab, and into the outside. Back to the hospital's entrance. Where everyone was standing or sitting in the middle of the hall.

W motioned for him to come over. He gulped. "Okay everyone. I'm sure you've all been preparing for this ever since we mentioned it, but yes. When the Ink clone came he told me that XGaster is planning to attack today."

Everyone visibly tensed up, except Cross and Error. The only two that didn't remember the constant torture and torment that they had to endure at the hand of the one and only, XGaster.

"Calm down." W said, in a father like tone. In a way he had become the skeletons' father. Even if he didn't show himself, he still took care of them, and made sure they were safe.

"They may have a lot more skeletons than we do, but we have practice. They may even start to attack each other since they are not used to working together." W explained.

Everyone nodded, feeling a little more determined to protect their home. "The last thing I need to say is-." W was cut off by an explosion happening on the corner of the hospital. "Duck!" W screamed.

Everyone tried to take cover. As they lifted their skulls all they saw was dust from the wall that had collapsed, and a large group of their enemies. Thankfully the kids were not in the hospital anymore, being all put safety underground in the lab. "Quick!" W yelled, but also held back a bit as if he didn't want anyone else other then the originals to hear him.

"Try your best not to get injured, but most importantly protect Classic at all cost." Then he teleported away, presumably to find the source of the problem. His brother.

Everyone looked at each other in horror. "Well we're going to have to go eventually." Dust commented, and he teleported away to join the fight.

Killer and Horror nodded as they left to. Outer, Lust and Blue following shortly after. Red looked at Classic with a scared look. Classic held his hand tightly.

'We won't die.' He tried to reassure Red. 'I promise.' Red nodded. They teleported together.

Dream watched Ink as he was getting ready. Even more terrified then anyone else because Ink was pregnant. Ink had told Dream that it was fine, and that he was strong. But it didn't help. The only reason Dream had allowed him to fight was because he would be right by his side.

"You ready?" Ink asked as he held out his hand. Dream nodded hesitantly, as he took the others hand and left.

The last ones there were Error, Nightmare and Cross. They looked at each other not muttering any words. They smiled at each other. It was like a conversation without words, yet they all understood what the other meant.

They all went in for a group hug, as they teleported away.

W was right. Even if they did have significantly less people on their team, their strength was that they were working together.

When one was weak the other was strong. Most of them working in pairs.

They were all starting to think that they might win the battle without anyone dying. That thought was short lived though.

Red saw a sharped bone going straight for Classic. Time seemed to go in slow motion.

He wanted to scream. To tell Classic to get out of the way. Do something. But he couldn't.

Even if he did scream it would still be to late before Classic noticed that the bone was going straight for his soul. Red didn't know what to do.

In that moment there was only one thought in his mind. Protect Classic at all cost. 'Protect my love at all cost.' He thought. He threw himself at Classic forcing him out of the way, while he took the hit.

Since he wasn't directly infront of the bone it prevented him from being hit right in the soul. Still though it might have been better to be hit in the soul. At least he would have gone quickly, and not have to see Classic's horrified face.

He started to bleed rapidly. The bone leaving two holes, the first where it hit from the front and at the back where it came out of.

He fell down, having to be laid on his back as his H.P. started to deteriorate. He was dusting fast, and sure it hurt like literal hell, but nothing could hurt more than the face Classic was giving him.

Ink and Dream had gotten in front of them, seeing that they could do nothing except protect them to give Classic the time to help.

Classic kneeled down I front of Red. Tears streaming down his cheeks. "Come here." Red said. He also had tears in his eyes by now.

He used most of his strength to bring his hand up and pet Classic's cheek. Classic grabbed his hand as he held it closer to his face.

"Im gonna miss you sweetheart." Red said sadly. Classic shook his head rapidly, as if rejecting the fact that Red was going to die. "I love you." He muttered.

Classic sobbed more and more. He took his hand and caressed Red's cheek as well. "I-I love you too you bone head." He said, his voice broken and breathy from not being used in a very, very long time, as he was trying to give Red his best smile.

Red was initially shocked that Classic spoke. That was his first time hearing Classic speak, and it was worth it.

Classic bent down and kissed Red on the lips. Red kissed back, as he slowly dusted away. When Classic looked back down all he saw was a pile of dust, and Red's clothes.

Classic started sobbing non stop. Thankfully Ink and Dream had stayed in front of him, shielding him from the enemies. He could mourn later, right now he had to fight.

W was watching from the forest. He had not seen any signs of XGaster though he thought he was getting closer to where he was.

After a little while he saw something. A bright light. It was coming from a lizard monster he had recently found out was named alphys. Though it looked more like a robot than a monster, but he knew XGaster had to be somewhere near by now.

W teleported closer to Alphys, but hid behind a tree. He saw him. Watching without any emotion on his face. It seemed that Alphys was controlling the copies from a screen in front of her.

He had to think fast, but instead he froze. Unsure of what to do. He just stared at them, unable to move.

XGaster saw him though, and teleported behind him. W slowly turned around. They stared at each other for a bit. Both of them trying to read the others expression. To no avail though, since they both had a pretty nonchalant face.

XGaster said nothing as he took out a couple of his hands and grabbed W. "Wait!" W screamed, becoming frantic.

XGaster put him down, but kept his hands holding him in place. "Before you kill me I'd like to talk." W muttered.

XGaster thought for a while. Still no emotion on his face. After a while he nodded. Truth is, he didn't actually want to kill his brother. The only reason he was doing so was because he had to. W was in his way, and if the only way to get him out was to kill him, then so be it.

Though he allowed him to talk for the last time. Maybe it would give him some closure. W sighed. "Why?" He questioned.

XGaster didn't respond only staring at him with a cold look. "Remember when we were like Dream and Nightmare?" He asked. Again, no response.

"You being the stubborn older brother, that still somehow acted nice around me." W explained, chuckling a little as he recalled those memories.

"Why?" He asked again. "Why did it have to change?" The tight grip loosened a bit, it was working.

"Why did you have to leave? Just to come back as a mad man addicted to his work?" W asked. XGaster's calm and unfazed demeanor faltered, as a bit of regret found it's way to his face.

"You- you wouldn't understand." He said finally.

W looked at him sympathetically. "Trying to make something that's fine the way it is 'perfect'. For what reason?"

"I-" he didn't know what to say. W was saying all the right things to get X to doubt himself.

"Sure you made wonderful creations like all the people inside of the hospital, but at what cost? Dream and Nightmare having to live with an evil version of themselves up until very recently. Dust, Killer and even Horror at times having the worst nightmares that we have to lock them up cause they were getting aggressive. And so many more that we couldn't save like insanity and freak."

X had been oblivious to all this for so long. Of course he knew that the sanses had suffered, but he didn't think they'd remember. Even after he erased the memories of the first part, it seemed that most of them had remembered the second one.

"I had to-" X muttered, to reassure himself, that there was no other choice.

"What?" W asked.

"I HAD TO-!"

"No you didn't." W said calmly.

X froze. He was already pretty much frozen, but he had now found that he no longer had control of his body.

"I-"

"There was no reason, X." W took a step forward. X stepped backwards.

"There was no reason." He repeated quietly, as he realized. He looked down at himself in disgust, and back at the hospital even though he couldn't see it much from here. He took out one of his bones, and stabbed Alphys with it, causing her to glitch for a while before disintegrating. W was shocked at how fast X did that.

X started walking away very fast, as he let W go. "Wait! Don't go." W yelled as he ran up to him.

He grabbed his shoulder, only to be met with a sticky, wet substance. It was like X was melting? No. That couldn't be, unless-.

"D-d-did you?" W asked.

X sighed. He pulled out a little vial that contained a bright, white soul. He pulled out his own soul which was red. W looked at it in shook.

"I-I can put it back, it's pretty easy." X reassured. W nodded. X turned around to leave again.

W grabbed his hand. "Don't go." He pleaded.

"I have to." X said. He sighed. "It wouldn't be safe." He pat his little brother on top of his skull before he teleported away.

W sighed. He started to walk back to the hospital.

They were all there. It seemed that Alphys really was controlling them, cause apparently there were no more left.

They were all waiting for W to get back. Sci had gotten a note from him that was basically a suicide note, saying that if he died to take care of the hospital, and everyone inside it.

Sci and Farm were taking care of the children, and had left the lab to make sure W wouldn't die. Farm didn't make it.

Sci was holding his jacket that was pretty much identical to Sans', but it looked more run down and dirty, probably from working in the garden.

"Did he?" W asked. Sci shook his head. W nodded sadly. "Anyone else?" He asked.

"Red." Sans answered. He also had Red's sweater and was holding it tightly. W sighed dreadfully.

"At least no one else died." He tried to lighten up the mood.

"Yeah." Sci said.

"At least.

Not my best work, at least I don't think so.
I'm disappointed, but as always I hope you liked it. I also hope my motivation for writing comes back. It will, I mean- it always does.

Also 2 more things.
Every time I wrote W I continued to sing: W,X, Y and Z, now I know my Abcs next time won't you sing with me XD
And also I kept having to tell myself that W and X are brothers in this story so that I wouldn't ship them.
Gosh I really do have a shipping problem-V
