Another day another nightmare

I squint as I step outside into the warm yet blinding glow of the morning sun. I yawn and walk up to Dadzawa.

"Morning Da- Aizawa, so what are we doing today?" I ask, thankful that I saved myself from embarrassment. I see a little smirk form on his face.

"We're going to be developing your Quirks." He says.

"So, am I gonna be training with you again?" I ask.

"No, it's not good to train with one person only. We need to expand your abilities to other fighting types. If you fight with one person for too long, you'll develop there from fighting style and their weaknesses." Aizawa explains as we walk into an opening. Everyone is told to do specific tasks to strengthen their Quirks. Ragdoll, one of the W.W.P.C, assigned me my training task. I focus and lift my arms, my left eye begins to glow a royal blue. I clench my fists and begin to try lift everything around me. First, I lift about ten trees, then 20, then 30, and soon I'm lifting about 97 trees. I feel myself getting tired and begin to lose my grip.

"Keep going!" Yells Ragdoll, I look over to her. I lift my arms back up and take a deep breath. I close my eyes, flashes of genocide flash through my thoughts, causing me to lose focus and drop the trees.

My eyes snap open as I breathe heavily, the memory's leave fade away. "Ok, summon as many of those skull things as you can!" Ragdoll says, I nod. I summon one, get on it, fly up above the trees and summon about ten more. "Come on, you can do more!" Ragdoll shouts. My eye glow intensifies as I summon about 40 more blasters, I turn them away from any people and fire them.

The day passes by slowly, but eventually, it's time for dinner, we return to the camp. I look around at everyone's exhausted faces and sigh.

"You all look exhausted! But that doesn't mean you can make any old sloppy cat food!" Ragdoll says, Iida yells something.

"Okay..." Everyone moans back, everyone drowsily heads to a station and begin to cook. I walk over to where Midoriya is, and help him.

"Hey, Sans, could you cut up some potatoes?" Izuku asks and points the knife toward me. Memory's flood in, and on instinct, I grab his soul and throw him backwards, the sound of him crashing into a nearby wall snaps me back into reality. The realisation hits hard, guilt crawls up my spine.

"midoriya! i'm so sorry, i didn't mean to!" I say, running over to him to see if he was alright.

"It's fine, Sans, I shouldn't have pointed the knife at you..." Midoriya says with a small smile. Midoriya seemed to be trying to analyse me again, what is he looking for?

I push the thoughts away and help him back to his feet. We walk back to our station and continue to cook.

While starting up again, I notice a few confused glances land upon my back, I do my best to ignore the feeling.

Once we finish, we take it to the table and begin to eat. Soon I finish and go to bed, so I have enough energy for tomorrow. Sadly my sleep wouldn't be sound, but instead restless.

~Nightmare~

I open my eyes to see I'm in the judgment hall, the birds are singing, and the flowers are blooming. I look to the end of the hall to see the kid... I sigh.

"that expression your wearing... you're really kind of a freak, huh?" I say as we enter a fight. "Ready?" I say as I use my first attack, I do my normal attack and dialogue. The battle continues, and soon, the kid gets halfway.

"ugh... that being said... you, uh, really like swinging that thing around. huh? listen. i know you didn't answer me before, but... somewhere in there... i can feel it. there's a glimmer of a good person inside of you. the memory of someone who once wanted to do the right thing. someone who, in another time, might have even been... a friend? c'mon buddy. do you remember me? please, if you're listening, let's forget all this, ok? just lay down your weapon, and... well, my job will be a lot easier." I say as I attempt to spare them. But they attack.

"welp, it was worth a shot. guess you like doing things the hard way, huh?" I say and continue to attack them. But like usual, they make it through to my last attack and pass, then like usual, I fall asleep. They attack, I dodge, they attack again and- 9999999. The kid deals the final blow, I finish my dialogue and slip off the screen, soon turning to dust. I open my eyes to the all too familiar darkness, waiting for the reset, but then I hear a voice.

"You failed." I turn to see papyrus scowling at me.

"p-pap, what do you me-" I begin.

"Your so weak, you couldn't even protect your own brother." He says

"i tried, I real-" I plead.

"You watched me die, you didn't even TRY to save me! All you could do is watch as everyone died, knowing you could help!" He yells, I feel tears forming in my eyes.

"i'm sorry, i r-really am bu-" I try, but it's useless.

"I hope you rot here." He says and walks away.

"๐Ÿ’ง๏ธŽโœŒ๏ธŽโ˜ ๏ธŽ๐Ÿ’ง๏ธŽ" I hear someone say,

"gas-" I begin but am cut off

"What will you do next time?" I hear a sinister voice say, I turn to see the demon child as the strike me right across the chest.

~End of nightmare~

I almost fall out of bed as I wake, tears are leaking from my eyes. I take a few deep breaths and check the time, 2:47. I sigh and decide to get some fresh air, walking out of the building, I sit on the grass outside.

"i'm so sorry, pap..." I whisper, I take some deep breaths. I stay outside for about another hour, then go back. Not wanting to fall asleep and risk having another nightmare, I grab a book and a touch. I read until about 5, I get up, change and go outside. I see Aizawa just chilling, so I walk up to him.

"mornin' aizawa." I say, he turns to me.

"You're up early?" He says. "How did you sleep?" He asks.

"pretty well, actually." I lie, he eyes me suspiciously.

"Don't lie, it's pointless." He says, I sigh.

"it was just a stupid dream." I say, he gives me a small glare.

"One would think a stupid dream wouldn't keep someone up for the rest of the night." He says, I sigh. Aizawa bends down in front of me. "Sans, what was your dream about?" He asks.

"... my brother, again..." I say, we lock eye contact for a second, but I break it.

"What happened to him?" He says.

"i already told you." I say.

"You know what I mean, what happened to him in detail?" Aizawa asks.

"i don't want to talk about it..." I say, Aizawa nods and walks away. I sigh and go for a walk.
