When Winnie's brother Pete would walk by her and loudly say, "Here's Johnny!", she would no less hesitate to punch him in the face.

By the age of thirteen, Pete had learned to only say it when others were around and she would get in trouble. Promptly by thirteen and a half, he realized she would only make up for it later.

At sixteen, he knew it was best to just shut up.

But of course she could still hear it when he thought of saying it.

Thankfully, Pete was the only one who pestered Winnie for her ability. Her parents were scared by it at first, but when her Uncle Brendon witnessed a moment of Winnie's when she was five, he knew what it meant.

He'd told her it was a gift, but she was never sure if that was the right word for something like the shining.

disclaimer; I do not own MTV's Teen Wolf created by Jeff Davis. The characters, plot and all that other good stuff belong to him. I also do not own Stephen King's The Shining. The abilities of the power belong to him, but I do explore them with additives not in the book. I do, however, own Winnie, her story, family, friends and I made up her school. The painting aspect of the shining also came from me.
