Kazuha's POV

It's been weeks since Deadbolt perished in the refinery, and things have been tight lately with new laws being incorporated.

Such a shame many others aren't so complimentary and loyal to our new Governor Hoseok, and there are whispers that he was the one that murdered his political rival, Kim Dal.

However, there's no valid evidence of such things, and people that say otherwise are considered traitors to be dealt with.

"Uhm, Unnie?" Yujin called and I hummed.

"Sakura-Unnie wants to see you," She informed me.

"Okay, I'll see what she wants this time," I replied and she nodded.

Leaving my quarters, I exit the Tawagata Hall of Justice before contacting Sakura-Unnie to ask what she needs.

"Yes, Unnie, what did you need?" I asked.

"Zuha, you might wanna come to see this..." She said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You'll find out when you get here," She answered and I sighed.

Summoning a plant creature using my eco-manipulation powers, the creature rises from the dirt and gravel.

Hopping onto its back, it took no time to arrive at Kkura-Unnie, her location was in the middle of the sidewalk.

The weather is quite harsh with heavy rainstorms but it only benefits to me as it helps boost my powers and strength.

Arriving at the scene, I was shocked to find a gruesome crime scene with yellow police tape wrapped around the street lights.

Entering the crime scene, I was baffled to find the dead bodies of Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and Yunho.

Hongjoong has his own sword stabbed deep into his chest and his blood spewed all over the concrete.

Seonghwa looked like he crashed into the window of a building and the momentum of the impact and shards killed him instantly.

Finally, Yunho head is almost bashed open and I can see the brick the suspect used to kill him and to prevent him from calling us.

"Good God, who could've done this...?" I wondered.

"I don't know, but I'm suspecting a supervillain is behind all of this what doesn't add up is that none of the villains in our database aren't skilled enough... Especially if they're up against three heroes." Sakura explained.

"You have a point there, does Eunbi-Unnie know about this?" I asked and she rolled her eyes.

"Yes, but she could care less as she claims to have better things to worry about," She answered and I sighed.

"Like what?" I curiously asked and she shrugged.

Examining the crime scene further, it's quite obvious that Deadbolt's fingerprints are all over it but again with the reports confirming his death, it's impossible... I say otherwise.

Thinking about it, there is a chance that Sakura's vision wasn't 100% accurate and there were no signs of his corpse.

Not only that, I swore I saw foot tracks it matches Deadbolt's description, but I decided to keep it to myself as my Unnies won't believe me anyway.

"Yes, what is it?" Sakura asked through her coms.

"Wait, what?! Are you serious?!" Sakura asked and she sighed.

"Alright, I'll be there..." She says before signing off.

"W-What's going on?" I asked.

"Another incident has occurred... Yujin and Wonyoung got ambushed by an assassin," She answered and we immediately rushed to the medical center.

Y/N's POV

Reaching the laboratory, there were many scientists and engineers hard at work developing and inventing new technology for the company.

"Now that you're an agent for the company, we thank and welcome you," He said.

"No, sir, it's a great honor to work for such a huge company," I replied and he nodded.

"Hah, don't make me flatter, but you do seem short on weapons and equipment..." He pointed out and I sighed.

"Yeah, all of my gear was destroyed when I escaped," I explained.

"And that is why we will be giving you the best technology that Wayne Tech has to offer, please this way," He instructed and I followed him inside a testing chamber.

Inside, I was astonished to see a whole bunch of vehicles, weapons, gadgets, and everything that you could dream of, and all of this will surely be helpful.

Inspecting the vehicles and aircraft, I checked out the gadgets and the weapons, and they all looked badass as hell.

"There's plenty more where that came from and you can use your earned money to buy more equipment if you wish to do so, and finally there's one thing I'd like to give you..." He explained and he activated something with the remote.

The floor panel in front of me opens up and rises from above was a black outfit with an ominous seeker mask.

Seeker masks are only earned by those who are the best shots and the most skilled snipers in the world.

They're very useful to hide your identity and I can use them to activate heat-vision, night-vision, and x-ray vision to spot hidden enemies.

Putting on the outfit, it fits me perfectly and when I put on the seeker mask, I was amazed by the technological advances it even has an A.I. assistant.

"Hello, sir, I am Batcomputer model 1932KA5," The computer announced.

"Whoa, this suit even has a Batcomputer?" I asked.

"Indeed, I'm confident that you'll find it quite useful in your missions, it can connect to the most encrypted frequencies including the Tawagata Justice League and you'll every move before they even make it." He explained.

"Nice, when do I start my first job?" I asked.

"Glad you asked because I do have a mission for you and it's a perfect opportunity for a field test... Our surveillance cameras caught a couple of uninvited guests sneaking around Gotham City. Take care of them and make sure they don't find out what we're doing here." He explained and I nodded.

"Consider it done, sir," I replied.

Wonyoung's POV

Sneaking around the city of Gotham the most crime-ridden city in the country, we had to be careful not to get spotted.

The supervillains from what I heard from stories are much stronger than the ones back in Tawagata.

The Joker's origin story gives me chills down my spine and he's just downright insane, we also heard Lex Luthor the corrupted politician is the most genius criminal mind in the world.

"Unnie, why are we doing this? We shouldn't be here... It's too dangerous," I said.

"I know, Wonnie but we have to figure out if Wayne Tech is truly a threat to Hoseok, will just infiltrate the building, grab any evidence, and we can leave, okay?" She asked and I nodded.

Suddenly, we heard something fly above us and we looked up to see nothing but the dark night sky.

We shrugged it off as it's probably just birds however I got a bad feeling that we were being stalked by something or someone.

The feeling of being preyed upon makes me uneasy and on edge, out of nowhere, a ninja shuriken was thrown at us but it missed and struck the wall inches from Yujin-Unnie's head.

"I think someone knows where here..." Yujin-Unnie pointed out and I gulped.

"You think?" I asked.

Scanning our surroundings to find the person who threw the shuriken, there was nobody in sight as it was too dark to see anything.

"Come on, let's get out of here, this place is too dangerous," I suggested.

"Alright let's go-" She replied but was cut off when she got shot.

"UNNIE!!!!" I exclaimed and rushed to her aid.

Picking her up, I got to cover, and I once again scanned the area to find the sniper but there was nobody in sight.

Then, I spotted a dark hooded figure with glowing red eyes wielding what appeared to be a sniper rifle.

Checking out Yujin's wound, it was more serious than I realized, the bullet was made out of kryptonite which is highly toxic to most superheroes including us.

"Unnie, stay here, I'll take care of him," I instructed as I gently lay her down.

"N-No, you'll get killed!" She replied but I ignored her words.

Jumping onto the roof, I draw out my sword and was about to strike down the assassin but his reflexes are sharp.

He drew out his katana, dueling against him, I was amazed by his skills of swordsmanship which made him the strongest opponent to face.

"W-Who the hell are you?!" I asked but he didn't say a word.

The assassin front-kicked me in the stomach causing me to stumble back, and he drew out his pistol and shot me.

Falling off the roof, I crashed into a dumpster but I miraculously survived, I slowly crawled out of the dumpster and picked up Yujin so we can vacate the city.

Looking for the assassin he was long gone, I have no idea who that guy was but at this point, I didn't care.

We struggled to walk so Yujin summoned a portal for a quicker route to escape the city and we don't know if the assassin will come back.

Jumping into the vortex we managed to make it back to the Tawagata Hall of Justice, Yunjin and Chaeyeon immediately rushed to help us.

They both used their healing powers to stabilize our wounds, we were transported to the medical center so they can treat our bullet wounds.

"Wonnie, Yujinnie, what happened to you two?" Yunjin asked.

"W-We were ambushed by an assassin... We have no idea who that guy was or if he's even human. We didn't stand a chance, and the ammunition he uses is made of kryptonite." I explained.

"Shit. Kryptonite? That is some real nasty stuff..." Chaeyeon replied.

"Yeah, you two should be lucky that you'll still have your powers," Yunjin mentioned.

After they were finished treating our wounds, they take the kryptonite bullets for analysis, and two hours later, Kazuha-Unnie and Sakura-Unnie came to visit us.

"We came as soon as they called, what happened?" Kkura asked and we explained the full story.

"I see, an assassin that uses kryptonite bullets, one that is deadly accurate with a sniper rifle and is able to wield a katana," Kkura said.

"Hmm... Coincidence or not, all of those traits match Deadbolt, strange..." Kazuha pointed out.

"You're not saying that Y/N is still alive, is he?" I asked and she sighed.

"I-I'm not, it could be a supervillain or bounty hunter just as skilled as him," She answered.

"Either way, this assassin puts Hoseok's plans at risk, if he can overpower superheroes, he can surely cause serious complications to our cause," Sakura explained.

"Agreed, we should definitely report this to Eunbi-Unnie," Chaeyeon agreed.
