Walk It Off

Note: hey babes <3

my fnd is flaring pretty bad atm to the point that ive been a lump on the couch most of the day every day for almost a week now. cant stay awake, can barely walk, and sometimes randomly lose all grip strength to hold my frickin phone

needless to say writing has been tough. ive got so many stories partly written but have had no stamina to finish anything. here's hoping i have some mobility back this time next week. but for now, i dug up a couple of old snippets i wrote a long time ago

this one i wrote when i was 16 and got stung by a bee. when i stopped acting like i needed the finger amputated, i wrote this because nobody was giving me enough sympathy

hence, anna is sixteen

Walk It Off

"Anna, what are you doing?"

"I'm just gonna-" She panted and did a little jump, clutching her right hand into her chest. "-run in circles until the pain wears off. Cool? Okay, yeah." Here she ran a few more times before stopping to do a little cartwheel like some hyperactive seven year old. "Oh wow. It huuuuuuurts," she sang, though any of them might have suspected it was only in an effort to keep from yelling.

"She wouldn't have an allergy, would she?" Sam asked his brother as Dean took a casual sip of beer.

"Nah. Dad didn't. We don't."

"Yeah, but her mom-"

"I don't know. She'd be having a reaction already, though."

"She's been stung before, right?"

"Yeah, when she was like five, but it was just a bee that time. This was a frickin hornet. It's bound to hurt worse."

"Yeah, you're right. I mean, she'd probably be having trouble breathing if she were allergic."

"Exactly," Dean said and took one more swig of his beer before standing up and handing it to Sam to hold for him. "Alright, I'm gonna take the drama queen inside and get an ice pack or something." He started walking toward the center of the yard where Anna was still running in circles, hand clutched against her chest, panting and wincing and occasionally squeaking out a curse word.

"No," Anna gasped as she noticed Dean coming toward her. "No, it hurts. I'm good here. It still hurts. It'll stop if I just-" she panted some more, stopping her circles and hopping up and down instead. "If I just keep moving. God. Wow. Shit. Wow. Tiny little thing but it could take down a giant."
