Today has been a very hectic work day. I love having my very own clothing line but it is very stressful trying to tend to people's needs when they don't know what they want. There are a bunch of people trying to get custom pieces since I have blown up and it's just a lot.

I had five million followers before all of this but since I began the press tour, I have gained ten million followers which is so crazy. Most of them haven't even seen the movie yet and they're following me based off the interviews they watched.

My parents are having a date day so I decided to begin the house hunting process which has been pretty smooth so far. I met up with an agency and they assigned me a real estate agent who has been very patient with me.

I'm just waiting for Jordan to fly back here so we can look at the properties in person. I have received my first paycheck from the movie and it is beautiful now we're waiting on box office results which will let me know how much richer I'm about to be.

"Amerie."The voice sounds awfully familiar so I turn back and my eyes widen in surprise as a loud squeal leaves my lips.

"Aunt Melissa." I practically jump into the arms of my aunt who laughs as she wraps her arms around me. Melissa is my mother's younger sister and she has always been the fun one in the group.

She has always been the wild child and she was the person who took me to my first bar when I turned twenty one.

Melissa also taught me how to take the best selfies for my man but don't let my mother know that. I almost got in trouble when she caught me taking a rather sexy belfie for Jordan.

"Oh shit, I can't believe that you're here." I give her a squeeze before pulling away. "You look so hot."

"Me?" She flips her hair, "I'm just trying to get to your level of hotness. I heard that you were back from New York City and I figured that you would want to see your favorite aunt."

"You are my favorite and I'm so glad to see you." I smile at her. "I'm really happy that you're here."

"Me too." She smiles widely. "Why don't we go for lunch? My treat."

"Sure."

We make our way into this random cafe where we both order coffee and croissants.

"I have been waiting for an invite to one of those premieres." Melissa gives me a look and I pull a face. "Oh darling, you make me cry."

"You're constantly changing your number, we could never get in touch."

Her eyes widen in realisation, "I forgot that I bought a new phone. We'll exchange details after lunch but how is the wedding planning going?"

"It's going really well." I grimace. "Not long from now, I will be a married woman."

"I'm so happy to hear that. My wedding day was one of the happiest moments of my life and I was so in love which made the moment even better." Her smile fades and I give her hand a squeeze. "I never imagined myself being a divorced, forty five year old woman with no children but you live and you learn."

"Are you happy though?" I ask since she has never been vocal with her feelings. Melissa is all about having a good time so you rarely see her sad or even cry and I hate that she keeps that all to herself.

"I'm happy as I can be." She nods at me. "If I were twenty years younger, there are so many things that I would have done different but I'm so grateful that Madi had you. I always viewed you like a like sister and a daughter."

"You know that you have and will always mean everything to me." I bite down on my bottom lip. "I just wish that you would slow down so I could see you more than just at holidays and random drop ins. I want to be there to celebrate your successes and failures with you."

"One day." She looks away for a moment before taking a long sip of her coffee. "I was dating a biker which is why I was bouncing from city to city."

My eyes widen in surprise, "Wait what?"

"Shh." She lifts her finger up to her lips. "Don't tell your mother."

"Then just answer this, is it anything like Sons of Anarchy?"

She lets out a loud laugh, "Haven't they ever told you that curiosity killed the cat?"

"But satisfaction brought it back." I finish the rest of the phrase and she smiles at me.

"Perhaps it did."

Since the first premiere, I have received a handful of comments about the way that I dress. I have never claimed to be a conservative dresser so I don't like the way people are telling me that my outfits are inappropriate.

To kind of prove a point, my mother stepped out of the box with her look and she looks like a fucking goddess.

"You better keep your hands off of her." I politely tell my dad as he glances over at my mom for the hundredth time. "And keep those eyes in place."

"I can't help that my wife looks hot as fuck."

I pull a face.

"Thanks hun." She winks at him. "You look rather dashing yourself."

"Meet me in the bathroom."

The people around us let out a laugh after hearing what my dad said but he's corny.

I keep my leg crossed as we pose on the carpet because I don't want anyone trying to capture any images of my intimate area. I am wearing underwear but I know how weird the internet can get so I'm trying to be somewhat modest in my little get up.

"Amerie." I look towards a reporter who is calling out to me. "How do you feel about your look tonight?"

"My mom looks hotter than me." I laugh. "Talk about stealing the spotlight and she ain't even a co-star."

My mom has really stepped outside of her comfort zone and I couldn't be any happier because she really is a beautiful woman. I wouldn't call her conservative but she's not one to boast about her appearance.

"I'm starting to feel bad." My mom pouts as we move to the center of the carpet and I shake my head at her.

"Don't." I rub her back. "You look beautiful and I'm so happy to see you like this."

"Alright." She gives my cheek a light kiss.

We pose on the carpet for another two minutes before separating since we need to take solo photos. I turn to see how my mom is posing and my dad pulls her into his arms before dipping her right there infront of everybody.

I completely forget about the photographers as I pull a face because this man is really about to expose my mom's private area to the world.

"She's not wearing underwear." I lie and he quickly pulls her back up before stepping infront of her as she adjusts her dress. "You nasty."

"Amerie." My mom smiles at me, "Focus on yourself, babe."

I give her a look, "Ok."

I leave my parents to pose like the loved up couple that they are as I do my own thing on the carpet. A smile grows on my face as I spot my aunt walking over here and I watch as security tries to stop her.

"That's my sister, brother in law and niece." She pushes his hands away. "Don't make me kick you where the sun don't shine."

My parents look over and my dad steps over to them.

"It's alright, she's with us."

"Melissa." My mom looks at her sister in surprise. "Oh my God, Melissa."

"Hey sis." I smile at the happy reunion as they embrace right there on the carpet with everybody watching. "Thanks for the invite, Amerie."

My parents look at me in surprise and I blow them a kiss.
