"His voice means to decieve you, I just want to lead you."

Archie was as dry whilst I was soaked due to the fact I carried the umbrella over him instead of myself, he seemed so happy and probably would want to show off his costume to his dad so I thought I was the one who was better option to be soaked.

I left Archie to change into some dry clothes and decided to check on Don before to tell him how well it went, I swear I could hear some tape or something high pitched like that which caused my hand to hover above the door handle for the moment.

My mind just be playing tricks on me, I'm just over reacting and my brain is just making this stuff up.

Right?

I tool a sharp, sudden breath and pushed open the door to see it was pitch black causing me to raise a brow, I stepped into the room and noticed the smell of fresh blood but thought it was my mind playing tricks on me again.

"Don?" I called out.

I could hear heavy breathing and assumed it was his and maybe he was zoned out or deep in thought, there were footsteps heard and I turned to see a green figure leave.

No, my mind is playing tricks on me.

I shook my head and tried to calm my heart that was almost pounding out of chest, I notice his chair had been moved and walked over.

"Don, thank god your okay. I thought I had saw-" I sigh in relief.

However, when I went to stand in front of him my heart dropped.

His face was taped and he weren't breathing causing me to drop a shade in colour and go into shock, my body was shaking violently as I was frozen in place with my eyes wide.

No,no, no.

Holy shit, no.

Not again.
Fuck.

No, this is fake.

Right?

"Don?" I called out, sobbing.

His wife steppes into the room causing the light to flood into the room, the light spilled over towards me now sobbing on the floor on my knees.

She ran over to see the condition her husband was in to gasp and quickly grab me and take me out, she locked the doors and called the police so that Archie never saw what happened in the room.

However, when she unlocked the room he crept in.

I was sat on the couch still sobbing my heart out, it wasn't long until police arrived and I was struggling to breath due to my sobs.

Gordan had noticed me and was clearly waiting for Batman so he stepped over, it wasn't the first time he had seen me and this probably won't be the last due to the Riddler.

Jim sat next to me and gave me a weak smile before patting me gently in the back, it was a way to say he was there without words which I was thankful for.

"You alright, Y/N?" Gordon asked.

I shook my head no which he expected and let out a small sigh before placing a hand on my shoulder, I turned to look at him for him to see how bloodshot my eyes were from how long I've been crying.

I should be used to this, I saw death often as Ghost but now that it was personal it threw me off.

"Did you see anything?" He questioned.

It was clear he was testing if I would be okay to answer as last time he tried this I was injuried, I could focus and handle myself better since it was my emotions this time.

"It was him again, I thought I was seeing things. I called his name out and there was no response, I saw him in the chair so I stepped over and- well, I called out again and I knew that he was gone." I manage to speak.

Jim offered me a weak smile and a pat on the back, I knew how difficult it could be to get an answer out of someone who is in shock or is still coming out of it.

"Thank you Y/N, you telling me that much is more than what majority of people can do." He admitted.

I smiled and nodded so he stood up and left, it was mostly me saying thank you and saying it was okay for him to leave.

Once Gordon left, everything seemed to slow down as I wrapped up in a blanket for police to stand close to me to wait to ask me questions.

It wasn't long before Batman was kicked out and froze when seeing my bloodshot eyes with tears streaming down my face, Gordon whispers something to him but he didn't pay much attention when we locked eyes.

We both seemed to recognise eachother but I didn't know who he was, he felt familiar but I didn't know why.

The officers that were with me left the room and Batman went to step in before Gordon stopped him and they left too, I sigh and lay down on the couch and fall asleep.

I was hoping this was a bad nightmare.
