"I'm at my highest peak, I'm ripe. About to fall, capture me."

There were suddenly the sound of an engine and my eyes jolted open, Jim turned to see me as I turned to see what the noise was and I freeze.

Ah shit.

Jim and I lock eyes until a car suddenly came speeding down towards the casket for Bruce to run to me and throw us out the way, we narrowly avoid the car and I look up to see Ed.

He didn't look happy, but not at me.

He turned to leave which meant it was my cue to leave to, I go to stand and Bruce seemed to notice Ed too.

"Hey, stay here. You're still a missing person." Bruce spoke.

Stay? Ha, no.

I pull myself onto my feet and Bruce did too as police swarmed the vechile, I darted off as Bruce chased after me until I got to the doors and he ran back.

I pretended I was crying and was running due to what just happened which seemed to sell it to the press, I jumped into my car and drove off to suit up.

Two pairs of footsteps.

Ring, ring.

Ghost has been spotted by the mobile camera.

"Call them back, Jim."

"I can't, we don't know how to contact them."

I lock eyes with Colson and see the phone is still ringing, I hear footsteps meaning that Batman weren't far.

"You don't have to do this." My AI spoke.

I have no one else.

No one can help me.

No one can save me.

Batman emerged from the shadows and we lock eyes for a moment, I step towards Colson and place my arm on his head and lean on him.

I could hear the confusion from the police officers outside, thinking that maybe I'm just messing around a little.

"Ghost." Batman spoke.

Tensions were high, I couldn't put into words how much pressure I felt on me.

"Batman." I repeated in an annoyed tone.

He took a step towards us.

ring, ring.

"That's for you, Bats." I say.

Riddler had it so as soon as the phone was answered, the live stream would start or something.

I couldn't remember the entire plan but that's because I had been awake for 2 days straight without food kr water, it was clear that I was unwell and needed to take a moment.

"What do you mean, Ghost?" Batman questions.

God, is this dude dumb?

Worlds greatest detective? Nah.

"I'm not team cops, I'm not funding your unrealistic day dreams anymore." I spit.

Batman steps towards me and I lock eyes with him, you would of thought an hour had passed but barely any time had passed.

Ring, ring.

"It's your call now, Bats." I speak.

I turn toesve but he grabs me by the shoulder so I swing myself over his shoulder and land on my feet, I kick him onto his knees before grabbing one of the bat ears and slamming his head into the floor.

After that, I let go of him and looked at my hands and took a deep breath in.

This wasn't me, I knew that but I couldn't back out of this.

"Goodluck, Bats." I sigh.

He looked up at me in confusion to see my softened face before I turned to leave, I walk out and quickly go to my hide out location.

The police officers were confused to what I was doing and if that was really Ghost whilst Batman answered the phone, it was pure chaos down there but I guess that's what Riddler wanted.

I watched the livestream with the AI and hoped for the best, I didn't want anyone to die and I didn't want Batman hurt either since it was clear he only had good intentions for Gotham.

It was painful to watch, the timer was running low and Colson refused to answer the final question causing me to bite my tongue.

Fuck it, I ran back into the building.

Batman went to grab onto Colson whilst there was only seconds remaining, I leaped towards him and pushed him out the way for the explosion to go off.

We both went flying across the room and my body hit the floor hard, I managed to pull myself to my feet and turned to see the police running in.

Fuck.

I glance at Batman who was half awake and bit my tongue before running out, some police officers chased after me whilst some stayed with Bats.

Somehow, I manage to outrun them and return to Riddler.
